I've just spent the best part of the last three days with my hand on the microscope and my eyes on the computer screen ;-) . I've been photographing the varied universes I am seeing in the soils of Australia, that I collected on my recent trip, and I'm not even halfway done with my investigations! For the authorities not to focus on the importance of the fungi and the other microbes in the soil, is yet another crime against humanity, and not just against humanity, but all life! I know regenerative soil is becoming more popular, case in point; my family pulled me away from my microscope and computer, this week, for just long enough to watch a new movie, and I learned that, Laura Dern's character in Jurassic World Dominion, 2022, Ellie Statler's new job title was Regenerative Soil Scientist! Let's not leave this in 'Realms of Hollywood Fiction", every one of us has that potential to become something great, something important and this course, Regenerative Soil, could be that bridge for you! I know it was for me! I hear it is starting again on September 5th, 2022! Don't miss out!! ;-)

I wonder what measurements are being taken from active projects like the great green wall in Africa and the massive water projects in India. Demonstrating sequestration results in a measurable way will be vital to influencing the world. That and more inspiring voices like yourself, Matt!

Hey Matt, I think a major step that can be taken, addressing the round up aspect of this, is that the companies like round up need to be approached and offered another solution that isn’t bad for the earth where they can still make money and substitute their current products.
This is the key, nothing will get solved in the fight against money, we just have to convince them of an option that is a win win for them and us.

Houghton, J. (2004)Global Warming: the Complete Briefing (3rd ed.), Cambridge University Press. Cambridge, UK. - the first time I saw it referenced was in RADICAL MYCOLOGY by Peter McCoy. If this is the first time you are seeing this, keep digging: you are on the right path ;) Once you begin to see it cyclically, their entire narrative of 'just fix CO2 & we'll be saved' falls apart and we are faced with the truth: we must fight desertification (face reality) and bring back nature.

Dr. David Johnson gas been recently discussing the velocity of carbon in formal presentation which appears less a function of dumping on compost & more a function of adding micrograms of the broad variety that appears in the clay-like material (worm castings) that is the end product of his reactor process when managed successfully.
Not all compost is created equally.

Ya, so many of the fields and large yards are plowed and then left bare. Also they keep the dirt plowed around the pecan trees. The wind picks it up and blows it to Texas. I dont understand where these people in thei life learning, missed the part to keep some cover crop or something there. Some places do keep weeds or cover crop in. Basic logic.

I just can't get over that our local politicians are actually participating in the "get to zero" carbon....everything about the title of that political position is terrible lol! Its like....I don't think that is how it works ...

It's frightening - zero carbon would mean zero photosynthesis right? It's vital we inject some perspective, context, and truth into the situation asap.

If you look at the air bubbles in Amber it is easy to find oxygen content was much higher, prox 35%. Now we are down to 21%. As a creationist I have no problem with those numbers, there was a flood, that ended the period. Problem is most so called scientists have a problem with that model, they believe in evolution. (yes, it is a faith based religion to believe in evolution) I believe that period ended and people (and huge animals) stopped living for close to 1000 years. If scientists stopped their faith in evolution and instead looked at the numbers it would become obvious to everybody. The solution is to work with no tillage and grazing pattern working with shepherds like Allan Savory have already demonstrated. I blame Darwin's popularity for the mess we are in.
