Can confirm, a Skorpios disk makes an excellent living room showpiece, and is envied after by even the most staunch professional interior decorator. As well, it's great for covering up any holes in the drywall you've made after your first failed attempt to mount it to your wall.
10/10 would recommend.
I'm picturing a retracting horiztonal saw. I love how the KillSaws peek out of the floor. Imagine that, but in the robot, almost looking like a car CD player when you eject a disc. Get right up close to the wheels and then slicey slicey time! 🤓🤖💙🦂
Hey there Team Skorpios! How about a small/midsized wedge to put on your arm? Much like Whiplash’s non-spinning configuration. That way you could get under horizontal spinners like Bloodsport and Perfect Phoenix and divert them into the wall. And once you stop their initial spin you could switch to your main wedge to box them more efficiently!
A flaming mace would look pretty awesome on Skorpios
I thinks the circular disks look the coolest. I would replace the tail with a can of fish food so Diana doesn't forget to feed the fish again :)
Call it a pipe dream, but imagine a rear tail in addition to the normal one that can be adjusted for height, with a horizontal weapon on it! You would probably have to go walker to do that.
My favorite blade was the Big Bertha. What I would think is a solar powered paw hammer saw
well speaking from experience the most logical replacement for the tail would be a rake

If i was swapping that spinner out it would be great to see a solid hydraulic Pincer/crush bot like we had with razor here in the UK. Like an actual scorpion too!
As some one who is working on both a overhead saw, and overhead hammer bot, this was very informative. In truth I would love any of them saws on my wall of battlebots. Thanks for the info now give me the dfx files lol.
What I would replace the tail with? Probably an improved version of Rusty's weapon because he had the right idea, but it needs to be beefier
Replace the tail with a flux capacitor. Any time the fight doesn’t go well, crank it up to 88 mph, go back in time, and fight again!
I’d replace Skorpios’s tail with a wacky inflatable arm-flailing tube man!
I would replace Skorpios' tale with an entirely fully functional hobbyweight robot. Then all fights would be a 2 v 1 in favor of you (unless you are fighting Jager).

Considering Diana is the weapon operator, I would replace Skorpios’ tail with a new blade funnily enough. It would be called Deadly Diana, to show opponents who they’re messing with, besides Zach’s top driving skill, and to have a cool reference name :)
Also, that quote is from The Transformers: The Movie. Maybe we could add Stan Bush to Skorpios as well in the event of a big fight 🤔

Skorpios with a tribar spinner, like Bloodsport's big one, would look pretty sweet, or like a ninja throwing star shape blade! That'd be amazing when up to speed - or go full Blacksmith and use a flaming hammer saw, big blue flame to match Skorpios' paint job would be nuts to see! Not least cos a flame that hot might actually work!
The Skorpios tail is already near perfect. That being said, If you got a T-Rex I feel like a Raptor tooth would be gnarly!!!! And then Diana's Maniacal laughter gets broadcast every time it comes down.
The Trex blade is also sort've scorpion stinger shaped too. I'ld replace the blades with hydras anti huge device... and ghost raptors de-icer... and a rake... one of smeeeeeeeeeeeeees wedges and and orby banana. All welded together to make a robot patch quilt to scare off the competitors. Plus, I'm sure Skorpios would be feeling fabulous after that makeover. 😁
I would replace the iconic tail with a small mannequin’s hand. Then devise a small sticker dispenser and mount it in the palm of the hand.
Then skorpios can go around and give the other bots (and builders) gold stars! Wholesomeness to rival Rusty!
Love the work you guys do, the love you have for the sport and for getting new blood into bot battles!
You should totally replace Skorpios' tail with Mjölnir... I'm sure it's worthy!
Loving these videos. I never realized the different blades that Skorpios uses. If I were to replace Skorpios’ tail, I would ask Team Tantrum to use one of their tiny fists.
Well if we have to change the tail maybe some kind of grappler claw to hold your opponent but still having a weapon blade somewhere to get some cuts in while you're holding your opponent, don't know if that'd be better off mounted higher up on the body and pulls the opponent to the saw or retractable like Tantrum's puncher but it does sound like a cool idea.
(Whether it's a viable one is a different story but you didn't say it had to be practical for the contest)
I always liked your flaming scorpion tail (exciting to watch, but understand that it is not very damaging to a "competitive" bot). It seems like your goldfish blade is taking a page from Uppercut's book (not a bad choice). A single tooth extended well beyond the main body of the disk for both more velocity and bite at the impact point. Good choice.
Small question cause im intrigued: Would you ever consider trying out a drum instead of the blade (kinda like tantrum's)? Thanks for the video! Loooove seeing all the weapons of a bot!

I’d replace skorpios’ tail with a mini tombstone! Don’t think it’s possible, I’ll use my shrinking machine. HEXBUG hired me to shrink real battlebots so that they can make their toys. So, yeah! I’d stick a mini tombstone on skorpios’ tail!

I would replace the tail with an axe shaped like the fist of uppercut (called the overcutter), so that skorpios could repeatedly punch its opponents into submission
it's nice to see all these different weapon blades and what each one was designed used for/used against.
The only thing I can think that might improve skorpios or well make it alot easier to use big bertha which is add a small wheely bar on the back like you see on terrorhurtz smiliar to the one on sawblaze which might help a tiny bit or just enough to be able to land the big hits with such a heavy weapon.
I would like to see what Skorpios would like with a flipper/lifter configuration.

I'd replace Scorpios' tail with the entire Minotaur bot. Is it gonna be overweight. Hell yes, but is Greg gonna stop you? Of course not! In no way is he gonna dare stand against the death hums mounted on Scorpios' Tail. It would make things boring tho, as any wise opponent would forfeit immediately.
Would also be cool to see a bar spinner such as Carbide, Tombstone or Deep Six attached to a pivoting tail.
If there was a way to incorporate a clamping mechanism similar to Red Devil for the saw setup that would be pretty neat for more of those calendar worthy spark shots.
I'd probably replace Scorpios's tail with a very roughly painted giant piece of cheese.
I would replace the tail of scorpios with a massive malice type of horizontal spinner that is angled and covers the back of scorpios. You definitely have the best wedge in battlebots so you would not change that but in a fight you could just drive backwards at the opponent and they would go flying

I'd love to see some kind of jackhammer/hoe-ram attachment on Skorpios' tail. I haven't seen one of those in the battle box!
"Light our darkest hour!" - LOL I'm surprised that weapon wasn't called the Matrix Blade or Matrix of Death XD. I've noticed a few Transformers figures around the shop - nice touch :)
As I understand it the blade at 0:28 would be rotating counter clockwise (from our point of view). Wouldn’t it be smarter to mount the blade the other way around? So during a rotation the bigger non tooth part of the weapon passes as quickly as possible after the tooth so something that wants to hit this part of the blade would have to be fed into the weapon even faster, making it more unlikely something besides the tooth connects. The flipping would also mean something that actually connects with the non tooth part would not be bounced back so much as the distance from the center of mass of the blade just gets smaller after the biggest non tooth part before the tooth comes again. Would the impact forces damage the blade when flipped and was that the reason for the inobvious design choice?
7:29 That's from the Transformers movie from the original cartoon. That was one of my favorite movies as a kid, so of course I recognized it immediately.
I think the perfect thing to put on the back of Skorpios would be a second Skorpios.
Oh, and I think a "Screw the Screws!!" sign would fit really well, in honor of a certain fight that seems to be missing from TH-cam.
With all those blades, you could slap them next to each other to make Skorpios a drum spinner 👀
I would replace the tail on Skorpios with a bubble wand: why drop a spinner onto your opponent when you could fill the battlebox with bubbles instead?

What would I replace Skorpios' tail with? Simple. Another Skorpios. Just to confuse the other team
Scorpios is one of the coolest Bots around and your Video Blog does so much to learn about the way a Battle Bots team operates. Keep up with the great work.
My Suggestions is the following. You said your self a carbide tipped Saw could be a game changer. Not without reason this stuff is used to cut metal in manufacturing. But the Sawblade is to thin to withstand to much stress. So my Idea is to cut a sawblade shape out of metal, like your other wepons, but thinner I guess and add carbide tips to it. Then Skorpios could act kinda like a horizontal mill and mill through the opponents top plate. You should go with a softer not so brittle type of carbide.
In addition to all this reason, my Desk has the same color as the blade and you know what they say, colors should be in pairs. They say so don't they?
What would I replace the tail with? Simple, another Scorpios. Attach them at the same point and never have to worry about self-righting again! Been loving the content you guys put out, here's to a good season!

Skorpios has the potential to be a very versatile bot. Even though, the only alternative weapon that isn't a Hammer-Saw we've seen from it is a Flamethrower.
I do have some ideas on what other weapons Skorpios' iconic Hammer-Saw could be replaced with.
Here are some of them:
- Triple Tooth Blade. A Jagged Circular Blade. Two of them would be equally spaced, occupying half of the blade's perimeter. The third one would have a larger hitting area. All three would be very short in length, but would also be very pointy, as to make a bigger impact.
- Horizontal Spinner. By removing Skorpios' Hammer-Saw and reinforcing the back of the bot, making a more compact design, a Horizontal Blade could be fit (in the backside). The bot would have both a Wedge and a Horizontal Spinner/Blade/Bar. It could have different bar designs, as other horizontal spinners do.
- Improved Adjustable Horizontal Spinner. Getting inspired of Bombshell's configuration in its match agains Cobalt, in Battlebots Season 2. This weapon could be fit into a modified Skorpios frame as one of the bar designs. It'd need a big counterweight on the back to handle the front bar, so, the bot would probably have to give up on some armor. You'd have to be very cautious on deciding which fights it would be convenient on. Knowing you're an experienced team, that should be no problem for you.
- Undercutter. As Skorpios entered Season 6 with 3 entire bots, you could work out a way to include an Undercutter design as one of them, as Ribbot did with both Vertical Spinner and Undercutter configurations. It could come in very handy against some competitors.
- Flamethrower. I know, I know. This isn't my idea. It's yours. Nevertheless, it would be great to see that flaming tail back scorching robots again!

Easy, I would replace Scorpio's tail with Gary Gin
I would love to see Skorpios with a wide single tooth weapon, maybe borrow the fist from Uppercut? This setup would be extremely heavy though and I would probably disable the arm completely when fighting in this configuration and have the arm locked at the front lowest position. This setup could be used, when going against an opponent with heavy top armor, to basically make Skorpios have a vertical spinner configuration.
I figure swap a blade for a blade and thus I’d replace Skorpios’ tail with Blade, as in the superhero vampire hunter.
I think a scoop with raised teeth/ spikes to hold an opponent that drives into to it so you can reverse Hammer Saw hit could work on the back.

Also I would replace Skorpios' blade with a Pokeball so the robot can summon a pokemon to help it. Maybe an electric type...

I would replace the tail of Skorpios with a saddle. That way you could ride it into battle comfortably
Obviously less effective than any of these, but I would love to see Skorpios' tail armed with a reciprocating spike weapon. It just feels more skorpion-like for it to have a piercing stinger! Plus reciprocating rather than pneumatic could still run off the same weapon motors!
What you should replace the tail of Skorpios with: In an act of revenge for when Malice attempted to kidnap Skorpios in one of their social media posts from before filming, you should replace it with either one of the paddles that Bunny carries around or if that goes over the weight limit, attach a chain or something like that with one of Malice's foam throwers attached to it!
Also, i think the reference is from one of the Transformers moview. I wanna say the first one but I'm not 100 percent sure as for which one.
Has anyone attempted a hammer-drum? Thinking of something along the lines of Tantrum's size and weight. It most certainly wouldn't get bent and could provide tactical placement (also like Tantrum) if deemed practical enough.
I would replace the tail with a more scorpion looking tail with a long spike/claw that would hold the opponent still on the wedge while a slow high torque cam driven oger drill from the middle of scorpios's wedge makes a whole then shoots a constrained flame (like abc S2 complete control) from the tip of the oger buring the the victim insides. I'd call it the Get Over Here!!!! Set up

I’d replace Skorpios’ tail with a hand so that it can give everybody high-fives and cool secret handshakes
The postal service is going to take a peek inside the package and see a 14lb blade… and likely have a moral conflict on if it looks like a T-Rex or a goldfish
I would change out the tail for more of a hammer with a fishing hook like tip. Then I would add flame throwers on the tip so that when it penetrated armor it could inject flame, just like a scorpions poison. I also tried to count the references but Master Zack, there were to many of them, what are we going to do?!
I'd replace Skorpio's tail with Diana herself. With the energy that she puts out, she could ko Gruff with one energy blast. Besides, might as well cut the middle-controller

Team Scorpios can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that it was actually redesigned into the undercutter Hijinx, which was going to be the new Scorpios, but they changed the name and kept both bots and entered as two teams

you could probably replace the tail with about 10 bashbots taped together so you can lose as a team or win as a team. when they get knocked off, you get clasified as a multibot so jagers not alone in that category
I feel like if Skorpios had front forks on the arm that were out of the way with a blade, they could drop the weapon (if it failed or couldn't do as much damage) and could instead drop the arm to the ground and use it as a lifter to flip over bots and then hit their exposed sides. I've considered trying this with beetleweight saws and didn't know if it would be worth it at the heavyweight scale
Not gonna lie. I'd love to see the fish blade with a flamethrower attachment on the arm. Pull a blacksmith but with a spinning weapon/flamethrower combo. I think it would be pretty awesome to pull off.
If you like the combo of articulating spinner and flame thrower you're going to love 2021's Blacksmith XD
Put a decent spinner on the back, and have control up front damage in the back, BattleBots version of a mullet lol

Keep the existing discs but sandwich them between cardboard heads of Gary Gin.
Bonus points if you could work in an OLED screen instead so the expression could change based on the severity of the hit you just delivered.
I have always wanted to see a battle bot with a big powerful drill - a la Rusty.
Idk how well it would work, but a big drill rotating perpendicular to what you'd usually spin. It would be pretty sick
Some sort of actually piercing/grabbing/crushing weapon would absolutely complete the scorpion theme! could easily make a grabber using animatronic techniques (rope etc). Something with leverage and maybe hydraulics might be more difficult, but I can't give away all my secrets for free!
I'd replace the tail with a satellite dish so you will have good TV connection while you fight
U know I love the design on your bot really hope I win that blade I'm also gonna try and custom make a Scorpios hexbug out of sawblaze good luck next season
NGL, I kinda expected you to do "blade angels" at the end there.
As for what to put on the tail, why not make it a tire and weight-using the weapon motor as a bonus drive motor-then a spike at the front and do charges into bots and impale them?

I'd be interested in seeing how it would work if you turned the blade 90 degrees, so the axle of the blade was in line with the arm. I doubt it would be as effective as the current design, but it might be cool being able to spin in a circle to hit bots with it.

What if you added another tail? One that would be sacrificial to disable the other opponents weapon. Then come in with that new blade or lighter version and.... begin disassembly
Is it impossible to put a horizontal spinning blade on the tail of skorpios? May have to reshape the tail for it to hit though. It will look like a helicopter tail in the up position. Keep the vertical arm, so you have one horizontal attacking arm and one vertical attacking arm to choose from when facing your opponent. The transformers matrix reference was funny🙂

I would love to see a blade like Season 4 Cobalt, enough bite to do real damage, but enough teeth to rip stuff up like a saw. Also, I’d love you see you look into a way to cock back the tail and launch it super fast down onto the opponent, would work well with either a spinning weapon or a scorpion spike + flames or something
i think skorpio's tail should be replaced with the broken controller that diana broke. just to show people the power you have goes into the bot,fueling the destruction

Hey Team Skorpios, I have thought of a new spinner idea for Skorpios. I call it the Butter Bar. It's essentially a brute force bar that will just smash into the opponent bot that will either pulverize its way into victory or the kinetic force will beat it. Hope this is put into at least a thought :)

I would replace the tail with a hammer (like old Blacksmith)
I wouldn't replace his tail but I would replace the spinner with a dual disk spinner like witch doctor's then spin it at the max weapon speed and increase its weight and reinforce the arm and chain and the mechanism that swings it up and down then you could leave the weapon down and act like it's a spinner bot. Or if it's a bot that has weak top armor you could just wreck the top.
