Craig. I don't know why you have lost you passion for teaching brewing. But we all hope you get it back. I've been watching you for years and really hope to watch for many more. Just know you do have a lot of fans out here. We love any vids you put up. and we don't get board lol.
All-grain homebrewer (all electric, rims) for 8 years now and I have no issues with your use of a coopers kit and sugar. Beer is beer, and drink what you like and brew with what you got ;) I've said it before, I'll say it again, you helped to get me started on my brew journey, so much appreciation to you. No snobbery here.
Glad that you are back! I was so shocked when your channel disappeared! Love having you on in the background and anyways! Greetings from Las Vegas! :) keep on! Your doing a great job!
There's nothing better than drinking a homebrew while watching Craig drinking a homebrew while homebrewing! I just wish I were homebrewing today, too. Cheers!
Craig, thanks for doing this kind of videos I've been watching for at least 6 years, literally I learned the basics watching your videos... Now I'm trying to setup my 5BBLS nano brewery here at Mexicali Mexico... Thanks againg, for doing this... and most of all... seems that you enjoyed doing this, and transmit through your videos. Cheers!!! 🍻
Craig I’ve been using table sugar for years like you said money is the key we are in this to save money it’s no different from brewing sugar kit and kilo is the best the way forward.
You taught me how to brew several years ago with the "Easy Home Brewing" series. Sure I tried all grain, but the kits for me, gets me really good beer. Yeah, I don't have the patience for all those hours to make an all grain, when the kits for a few dollars more make really great beer. No, don't stop making beer videos. Many of us like them.
Am 61 yrs old and just doing my first brew kit thanks to your channel. I was given a Mr beer fermenter and bottles and found your channel very helpful as I await the first batch brewing. Love the channel very entertaining and helpful at the same time. What’s old hat to you as new and interesting to so e of your new viewers. Cheers to you sir!,
Cool video Craig, Kit and "actual" kilo is a nice variant, it will be nice to check out the tasting video:), As this is a CraigTube vdeo..... we are still watching :), and i totally agree that you need to support your local homebrew shop to make sure it is still there in the future. As you constantly gain new viewers to you channel, it is nice that you take the time to make new and updated Easy Homebrew videos. Keep up the good work and keep that yeast happy. Brew On :) 17.
Hi Craig, why do you apologize for using only home brew kits and not all grain? You don't need to go into justification. The people who criticize you for using brew kits shouldn't be watching this channel. So stop it and do your videos as you see fit. Greetings from Germany
man you must be new to craigtube...the hate is real he just makes videos doing what he loves....about ten years ago people where very relentless bashing him about kits and extract, now there all gone not brewing and here is Craig having fun making videos of what he still loves
Craig, Apologize to No-one mate. Just do what you do and ignore the trolls. Just as a point of reference, I live in Australia, I did my first coopers kit after watching your channel. Now I've graduated to all grain using the Grainfather. But I still come back here to see what you're doing and to remember forgotten wisdom. Also any time anyone says to me that they are going to start brewing I send them to CraigTube. You rock mate!!! Keep it up!!
Mate i put down a Coopers Mexican cerveza 3 months ago with S189 yeast and i found 4 long necks of it in the bottom of my beer fridge yesterday id misplaced, they are 11 weeks old now and i cracked one tonight and it was fantastic! Still had crap head retention but the carbonation was spot on and it was cold and smooth and tasty! Dont appologise for making kit beers! You have 75k followers for a reason 🍻
Great to see you back making videos Craig. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Also well done on loosing 20lb that’s really good. Thanks for the video Cheers 17 🍺
Hi Craig, I’ve been following you channel for years but first time posting. I’m an all grain brewer but enjoy watching your extract brewing videos. I like watching brewing videos of all brewing styles! Brew what works best for you! Cheers, Ryan
Hi Craig! Glad to hear you got your channel back. Just want to let you know, that watching your videos got me started home brewing back in 2012. Remember that homebrew Wednesday you made talking about double edged safety razors, lol. Loved that one. All that aside, I brew wine with table sugar, and it all turns out completely fine. I would think beer made the same would also be fine. Cheers, 17!
G'day Craig. I hope you're proud to know that you were the biggest influence for me to get into homebrewing over 3 years ago. It has also expanded into me getting a position as a apprentice commercial brewer. Cheers for the hours of content and showing me a hobby that's turned into an amazing career. Best wishes Cheers 17.
with the cv19 thing lots of country's had supply problems and i started to brew with table sugar but bowled first and it works just fine, at a 1/4 of the price i am sticking with it, kits rock and so do you Craig, keep them coming
That was awesome Sir...just a heads up...I have brewed with table sugar a few times ( with the Kit and kilo beer ) just for the hell of it and as far as I am concerned...all Groovy...lol Will catch up with you all this Saturday and I wont be in the TIN SHEAD on Vaughn Live.....cant wait as missed you all last Saturday...stay Groovy Sir and thanks for sharing. Groovy :) 17
Glad to see you back at it and yea table sugar an corn sugar doesn't throw off any flavors i used it in kits an wine i never really noticed anything i do it as a hobby here in the states thanks for the vid god bless stay safe 17
Welcome back Craig! This was a wonderful video to enjoy my coffee with! You have no idea how much some of us go through and binge your old brewing vids. Please, if you can video kegging and tasting please? 😁
Ok, I hate to admit it but I had kinda forgotten about your channel. I got divorced a few years ago and lots had to go including all my brewing equipment sadly :(. But here I am drinking a Deschutes Black Butte Porter and the algorithm plopped this vid up on my recommendeds! It's great to see you again man! I even used to come to your stream somewhat regularly for a few months way back when. I'll definitely try to catch you this Friday if you're streaming. Cheers, 17!
Gidday from Australia Craig, great to see you back! I always encourage new brews to make a stock standard beer before getting carried away so this will be the video I tell them all to watch! Beer is expensive as hell over here too so extract beer all the way! I'd love to have a beer with you one day mate because you are the one that got me into it and I've never looked back. Stay safe mate and cheers 🍻
Great video, enjoy the varied recipes all very interesting. Maybe try a hook on the wall to hold the fermenter cover while you are adding ingredients and stirring. Great job on the weight loss, I think we are close to same age and I need to drop 30 myself. Keep up the great videos. Your vinyl channel is also very informative. The last one on combining tracks and how they did the mixing back before mixers was cool. I like the technical explanations, good stuff 👍🏼😉
I'm definitely a snobby all grain brewer. I check every possible thing in my brewing from pH to water chemistry. I have won a lot of medals in the last few years and a pro-am. I personally love you Craig I don't care if you're a kit-n-kilo brewer. Do what you enjoy who cares. I love being a beer nerd but that's just me. Anyways do you still take beers????? I mailed you beers years ago and I'd love to send you a few more if you wouldn't mind. Let me know cheers man
One of the nicest comments right here. Like you, I've been an all-grain brewer for yrs, consider myself fortunate I've got the time and space to go that route. I enjoy the process as much as the imbibing. Glad Craig has got his channel back. Cheerz
Technology has changed greatly since 1982 and some of the quality kits can match an all grain batch but very lucky to possess the patience to make a wort in five hours using the Grainfather. I might purchase a kit in future such as Evil Dog Double IPA. Have you ever tried it out?
Craig. My dad and I have been brewing this way 4 the past year. During LOCKDOWN 100litres kept me going.. my dad has bottles of beer everywhere. Coopers lager coopers brewing sugar and carbonation drops.. his beer comes out beautiful. And mine comes out flat. No idea what I'm doing wrong.. Maybe I'm pitching the yeast to soon. Grandpa Ken used to make kit and brew in a 60litre plastic rubbish bin with a towel over it.. kept it in the back wood shed along with a car boy of tea brandy..
Hey Craig, I’ve been brewing a long time as well (since the 80’s) I’ve used kits with good old table sugar many times with good results. Way back I had few that tasted a little cider like and eventually figured out that was the result of using too much sugar as compared to extract, back then I was trying to boost the alcohol content, lol. I’ve done the kit and kilo with a cooper’s kit at 19 litres with good results. I’ve had kit beers that were better than some all grains and vice versa. I also brew for cost now, I find all grain way to time consuming as well. Like you I just want some good beer without breaking the bank. Generally speaking now I use a 50/50 mixture of DME and dextrose or table sugar if I run out of dextrose and it always turns out well. Speaking of sanitizing…sometimes if I’m in a rush everything just gets a really good rinse and that’s it, never had a spoiled batch yet! Yep that will draw some criticizing but it's 100% true. Cheers man, glad to see you back!
I've done all my beers with granulated table sugar and never used dextrose ever. All turned out well. I'm currently drinking a Coopers lager done the same way as you with no issues 😊👍
3:45 We are watching because you are entertaining. Also I had surgery on both legs... Laid up pretty well. 10:05 get ready, there goes the spoon again. 13:42 I like watching you struggle in the new dungeon. 15:10 You left the green hose subconsciously... so you would not get any BS for using it.
I did kit and kilo using table sugar for years, I found that the only difference really was in the mouth feel between that and all grain beers. Have you thought about brewing using two kits and no sugar (similar to using a premium no sugar added kit)? The only problem with that is that you will get twice the bittering so you need to use a kit that is not too bitter to begin with, or a mild and a bitter kit. Great video as usual, the beer is for the bar but you are the star, s..r, cheers, Schnuz.
I was gonna say man...you lost some weight ...u were starting to get some chipmunk cheeks for a second ...u look great ...appreciate ur vids ...happy u got ur real channel back ...cheers
I'm watching this for nostalgia Craig! Thank you for helping me and thousands of others get started homebrewing.
Oh thank God....Craig is back.
yes Craig more of these videos :D
Yeah!!!! More brew stuff
Craig. I don't know why you have lost you passion for teaching brewing. But we all hope you get it back. I've been watching you for years and really hope to watch for many more. Just know you do have a lot of fans out here. We love any vids you put up. and we don't get board lol.
Just as I'm getting ready to put on my first brew in about a year this morning, a new vid from CT drops! Awesome.
Mike Bailey Right?

Back in the day the kids on coopers and muttons said add the can and the kilo of table sugar
You taught me how to brew several years ago with the "Easy Home Brewing" series. Sure I tried all grain, but the kits for me, gets me really good beer. The new microphone works very well, the sound quality was noticeable right at the beginning of the video.

Thanks, Buddy! Matt or mattdugijc from your Friday cast. Cheers! 17!
Did a all grain batch of American brown ale today, 5.5 hours start to done and all cleaned up. Hey, if that's what floats your boat! =)
I've done all my beers with granulated table sugar and never used dextrose ever. All turned out well. I'm currently drinking a Coopers lager done the same way as you with no issues 😊👍
This classic stuff has something that once you click you can’t stop watching 🤪

I brew with Coopers all the time...what's wrong with the yeast?
Yeah. I’m an Adelaide boy and I don’t use it either.
Use Safale US-05 with the coopers kits..... Much better..... No homebrew 'ping'
*Crow*
Oh....you're one of those 😒
*The Working Dead*
I'm with you mate.
Did you brew a Coopers IPA kit or the English Bitter that you held up at the start of the video? Can't wait to watch your tasting and review! 17

Hi Craig, this is Mikey.. Just saying Hi.
Waiting for the weather to cool, before trying currently so hot the fermenter would certainly foam over 32-44c 😂
Whatever works for you good sir!
