Wow i have a testimony.... When he talked about familiar spirits, i knew this message was for me. I look at my grandmother who got taken from school in New York by a gang & was raped. During the time she was kidnap, God had His hands on her. She was left for dead....waking up surrounded by dead bodies...running for her life barefoot in the cold snow...Then i look at my mother who was picked up by a group of guys in a car and raped. Then my aunt,cousins, & mother who were all raped and child molested by the same guy who were supposed to be like an uncle to them...And the fact that all the women in my family struggle with being alone. Seems like they have to have a man, and the crazy part about it is, it's always the wrong men...Then i look at me who was child molested by my aunts boyfriend who was already wanted for rape... Then i look at how i struggle with being alone...How it seems like i'm afraid to be alone. I watch my mother,aunt, sister, & cousins get into abusive relationships & find myself in the same shoes. I watch many women in my family have babies out of wedlock and now i look at me with a 7 month old son at the age of 22...trying to figure out how i got here....This is truly my testimony. This is something that must stop with me!... Literally all the questions he asked in the beginning of this video i constantly asked myself....What's gotten into me? Why can't i stop? Why am i so angry? Why do i speak harsh words to people? It had gotten so bad i was beginning not to recognize who i am anymore.... I look at my brother who has a strong calling on his life...drinking huge bottles of liquor like it's water. Popping pills...fighting...full of anger. Then i trace back my family line on my father side. My uncles on my father side all drink. I just lost an uncle because he refused to stop drinking. Doctors told him that if he drinks again that would be his last time... And surely that was his last time. My father twin brother now dead & gone to liquor...A bad decision. Then i look at the rest of my dads brothers...They all drink. They all begin to have issues with their health. i look at one of my uncles who loves to fight a whole lot...I look at my older brother who was the opposite of my younger brother. He was in the streets, doing drugs, fighting, quick tempered, not really knowing how to be a father and husband to his wife....then i trace back to his family. He haven't saw his father in years. Today he is 28 and just meeting up with his father again. His father use to beat on my mother...that's why my brother would beat on women...this is truly a familiar spirit. And i'm just glad i'm able to recognize that...Jesus please let this come to an end with me...I can't pass this down to my son. Help me...

I understand generational patterns and demonic assignments against our lives. We cannot use that as an excuse to stay where we are. God has also given us self control which is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. We have everything it takes to be an overcomer. The Bible warns us against laziness. We reap what we sow. We can't blame demons for the lack of effort on our part.
True. A lot of it too is mindset. How Generation X, Y and Z think is not how the Silent generation or Baby Boomers did. It'll be the same with future generations. How they think won't be how millenials for instance think. Mindset is what stops many from becoming who God has made them to be.
I block out a lot of my childhood but I have some understanding from my parents always conversations about it, I need to find the root of my problems and attack those issues and silence the enemy.
