Gee I just went on a nostalgic trip!!! Haven't heard this incredible hit in decades.. I was 15 when this was released in 1991. One of my all time favorite rock tracks. Alias where would i be without you.
god knows why we dont get these type of music in mainstream market nowadays.. just blame MTV for tearing down such great ballads n guitar solos..80s to early 90s rock forever and will
MTV from music changed to reality crap TV. Also the Internet piracy and streaming discouraged many song writers to continue releasing great stuff. Nowadays unless you tour and perform live, you won't get too much profits from song downloads, and streaming (just fractions of a cent). I believe that is the reason and it really sucks
I blame a few things. 1)Almost nobody outside maybe country plays their own instruments anymore. 2)Bands rarely have 1 lead singer with backup; either everyone sings (boyband) or the lead has no vocal backup & therefor no harmony. 3)Rock fell out of favor & merged with country. 4)Radio stations only play 20 songs a day over & over each month, much in the way that TV stations just marathon everything.

Just came across this song and video by accident and I was blown away by this gentleman's phenomenal voice and the song itself. Wish they had done more like it. You are never too old to find "new" things and appreciate something wonderful when you see it or hear it.

Had no idea this was the same lead singer as in Sheriff but boy did both those hits turn girls into mush & help all the boys out. His voice was literally a direct connection to the females & the guys sure enjoyed how insanely talented this man is. Boy did his pipes resonate on another level.
Not by a long shot, man. Johnny Mathis had him beat 30 years earlier many times over, and Manilow had a song called "When October Goes" in 1984 where a note at the end of the song is held at least twice as long as Curci's in this song.
@@Tre404 Not at all. He did indeed have the title if the longest note. Edit And it wasn't in this song. It was the song "When I'm With You" that he holds the longest note.
All the male singers? I seriously want to see the stats for that. I can think of a few singers (Pavarotti, Luis Miguel, Jose Jose, Camilo Sesto for instance) who I could see giving him a run for his money.

Interesting fact about this song, which should speak to its popularity. BMI (Broadcast Music Incorporated) presented the lead vocalist / songwriter Freddy Curci with the "Million-airs award" for "More Than Words Can Say". According to BMI's web site, only 1,500 songs have achieved Million-air status (one million air plays) among the 4.5 million songs by 300,000 BMI represented artists. One million performances is the equivalent of approximately 50,000 broadcast hours, or more than 5.7 years of continuous airplay.
Wow, amazing fact. I found this song touches the deep sentimental feeling of many people. If they used to hear this song, and they miss something about sentimental things in the past, this song heals that kind of feeling. And I am now listening to this at 6, missing a beautiful thing in the past.

I am lost in these lyrics , it seems to be listening to what my heart is saying. Losing the love of my life almost a year ago, I live with my soul’s shutters drawn and no lights on. My dearest Amy, I know you are still with us, will I ever be able to let your go? My words crumble as faded vinyls relapse into static again. If I only had more time with you, I know I would have loved you more than anyone. My heated blankets aren’t enough to keep the bed warm enough to sleep either. Every second of everyday, every thought that I breath your right there. There goes my heart, listening for your slightest touch. My eyes are drawn to the ceiling every night, hoping to catch a glimpse of you. Im restless, sleep diminishes as the moon rises and falls. Holding on to everything we ever accomplished together, and trying to keep the babies comforted. I look forward to our long walks again on that eternal beach you walk barefoot. My darling Amy, may our heartfelt kisses reach you and your parents and family. I know Mom may keep you company, but for sure my Grandmothers Zoe and Emma will. Love you my beautiful wife. I always will. >!< =!=

@@troysunshine1107 Troy I am sorry that you are growing up with such lousy music that shows no love. Music is just not the same now a days. It was so emotional and beautiful back then when you were meeting women in school. I was so lucky to grow up with such beautiful love songs.
Gee I just went on a nostalgic trip!!!
Haven't heard this incredible hit in decades..
I was 15 when this was released in 1991.
One of my all time favorite rock tracks.
Alias where would i be without you.
What a brilliant vocal performance!
😮 amazing vocals😮😮😮❤
god knows why we dont get these type of music in mainstream market nowadays.. just blame MTV for tearing down such great ballads n guitar solos..80s to early 90s rock forever and will
Why did MTV tear it down ? plzz explain
Alexis Rios alexis, how old are you?
I blame a few things. 1)Almost nobody outside maybe country plays their own instruments anymore. 2)Bands rarely have 1 lead singer with backup; either everyone sings (boyband) or the lead has no vocal backup & therefor no harmony. 3)Rock fell out of favor & merged with country. 4)Radio stations only play 20 songs a day over & over each month, much in the way that TV stations just marathon everything.
agreed it seems as though rock music will never be the same nowadays.
Freddy Curci's voice hitting on high notes is simply amazing.
When I'm With You by Sherriff he hit the highest Note Ever From Shadoe or Casey. I expect both mentioned it.
I am 34 yrs old now, I just once listened this song with my lola when I was a kid, I don't even know the title...Thanks I finally found you!
Lola ? Are you pinoy ?
@@clubtcbHe must be. If others don't know - lolo and lola mean grandpa and grandma.
Here I am
At six o'clock in the morning
Still thinking about you
It's still hard
At six o'clock in the morning
To sleep without you
And I know that it might
Seem too late for love
All I know
I need you now
More than words can say
I need you now
I've gotta find a way
I need you now
Before I lose my mind
I need you now
Here I am
I'm looking out my window
I'm dreaming about you
Can't let go
At six o'clock in the morning
I feel you beside me
And I know that it might
Seem too late for love
For love, ohh ohh
I need you now
More than words can say
I need you now
I've gotta find a way
I need you now
Before I lose my mind
I need you now
More than words can say
I need you now
I've gotta hear you say
I need you now
Before I lose my mind
I need you now
I need you now

THANK U 4 THOSE PRECIOUS LYRICS❣
Thank you
What a beautiful love song. I completely forgot about this. I will never forget it again!!!
its MAY 2021 and im still listening to this masterpiece who's with me ?
More Than Words Can Say was one of my favorite songs of the year 1990 to be certain. I listen to this song once a month.
August 2021 still love this song
They don't make them like this anymore, neither the music nor the videos.
I'm here dude
@@jillferns333 🙌
Who miss the 80's like I do?
You're not alone dude
I do! I do! Even though this song was from 1990? It still sounds like an 80s song though?
🖐🏼

This kind of rock ballad is timeless music.
Is a classic
I agree, Beautiful Song.
No autotune. Just pure talent.
I am of the baby boomer generation and was not really listening to much in the early '90...kids and family took all my time. Just came across this song and video by accident and I was blown away by this gentleman's phenomenal voice and the song itself. Wish they had done more like it. You are never too old to find "new" things and appreciate something wonderful when you see it or hear it.
This comment warmed my heart allmost as much as the song itself
This reminds me of Steelheart
What happend to the 80's & 90's music? I miss it!
This takes me back to High School and my younger adult years.
Today's music DOES'NT have the same heart and soul as it did in the past.
I miss classic rock bands, hair bands and even country & western music from 25 years ago.
What happend to music these past 19 years? It's cRAP !!!!
Had no idea this was the same lead singer as in Sheriff but boy did both those hits turn girls into mush & help all the boys out. His voice was literally a direct connection to the females & the guys sure enjoyed how insanely talented this man is. Boy did his pipes resonate on another level.
I just found out too! No wonder this song and When I'm With You are two of my all-time favorite songs.
😊
It's also the 3 original members of Heart.
I just found out today!
Vid go back in a heart ♥ beat 😢
Freddie Curci was the lead singer of the band Sheriff. And he still holds the record for holding the longest note for a male singer.
Not by a long shot, man. Johnny Mathis had him beat 30 years earlier many times over, and Manilow had a song called "When October Goes" in 1984 where a note at the end of the song is held at least twice as long as Curci's in this song.
@@Tre404 You're wrong. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/When_I%27m_with_You
Still an impressive performance
@@Tre404 Not at all. He did indeed have the title if the longest note.
Edit And it wasn't in this song. It was the song "When I'm With You" that he holds the longest note.
All the male singers? I seriously want to see the stats for that. I can think of a few singers (Pavarotti, Luis Miguel, Jose Jose, Camilo Sesto for instance) who I could see giving him a run for his money.
This song is still the best song and a masterpiece. Love his voice, powerful as ever! 😊🇨🇦👍
This song deserves more recognition and likes... I feel sorry for people who haven't listened to this masterpiece
It was in episode six of Sausage Party: Foodtopia between a man and....an anthropomorphic hot dog...
Freddie Curci´s voice is so epic! Such an underrated singer and musician!
Lead singer Fred Curci used to be in Sheriff ("When I'm with You").
This is why I kept thinking this was a Sheriff song!
Patricio Gonzaga Always had me confused there too lol
He looks hot tho 😍😍😊
Another great Italian singer
That's why the band was called Alias, because everyone knew him from Sheriff.
Playing this tonight. It quiet outside. The whole world is asleep. Beautiful ❤️
Every little girl in the ‘90s sang this in the pool, at the beach, for
their parents, to their dog, etc. It remains as epic now as it was then.
I’m one of those little girls oh the memories attached when listening to a song from your childhood is so beautiful What great memories it brings me back to such a beautiful time in my life 😊 His voice was amazing Still jamming to these songs till forever and always 😊✌️❤️
June 2023. Sounds fantastic in the car! The bass is super smooth.
Good song. In 1990 it hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Alias frontman Freddy Curci was also the lead singer of Sheriff during the 80s.
Hi Jennifer,hope you’re okay ?
Their song When I’m with you is just incredible
Ooooh encontré está canción 😍😍😍😍me encantó...muuuy linda y romántica....pareciera de los 80....❤❤❤😊😊😊Saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱💃💃💃💃
That one scene from Sausage Party: Foodtopia brought me here, got traumatized from that scene...never watching the 6th episode of the series.
Back in the day when love songs really where romantic and meant something. I remember yelling the words, "I need you now" at the end of the song every time I listened to this on the radio. From 1990 to 2018 this song remains beautiful:) From an 11 year old to now a 39 year old.
Freddy Curci was under rated... he was one of the best frontman with great vocals but wasn't given enough exposure. He's one of the few who CAN really sing live! (not to mention good looking too) :)
here in the philippines we have paul sapiera of Arkasia who can sing very well too..
Yes!!
Totally underrated, the high notes he can hit!
I thought he looked Italian

A great album. Played the cassette to near death. Glad I have it on CD.
Hi Monica,hope you’re okay ?
Gives me memories
These good old rock songs are giving so much sweet memories 😢 Memories to be reminisced, definitely not coming back. Miss the 80s and 90s ...
Former Heart members, Roger Fisher, Mike Derosier and Steve Fossen are in the background on Guitar, Drrums and Bass
Yeah
Freddy puts so much emotion into his love ballads
I'm 48.
I heard this song, and had it on cassette when it first came out.
I have never seen the video until today because for some reason, it popped into my head.
And...i needed it now.
When you hurt to much listening to this kinda music really makes you cry😭

It saddens me that everything that brought people together in the 80's is no longer around.
Its still around, at this point it's a choice. Truth. I'll never leave the 80s. To hell with this generation.
This man had a great voice

One of the most beautiful songs ever made.
Wow his voice gets me everytime, great song!
I rember in my twenties ,I went to the supermarket and I saw this guy, younger than me,and I was hooked on him, I cant explain, but somewhere this song was playing.
I never went back to see him, but everytime I hear this song ,I think of him, I dont know was his smile or something (sigh).
Great vocal and guitars.Pure 80"s magic! Sure takes me back to some wild and wonderful times.
same ❤️
This song is from 1990 but I agree.
Daniel Zanier Actually both Fred Curci and Steve DeMarchi (guitarist) received the award for this song ... and they also received it for Sheriff - WHEN I'M WITH YOU
I just like the Model
Fudge... I haven't heard this tune in over 30 f'n years!!! Crazy how it all comes back...
That song will never be the same and is now considered a PTSD-triggering song after what happened in Ep 6 of Sausage Party: Foodtopia ☠️☠️☠️
we’re in the same page now. :D
HAHA!! Just watched that episode🤣

Happy 25th anniversary, to this song!!! It's September 2015, as I post this comment. Just hearing this song is enough to eject me back in time, to 25 years ago this time, fall 1990, when it was first released; I was 21 and a big college student at the time, now of course, I'm a middle aged fortysomething(46, of course!) What we see in the video here, during the song, is just the perfect picture of this song. Thanks for posting, great song!!
Dang ! I was born in May that year ! LOL
+MrJamie - Agreed, was about 20 at the time myself, where oh where did the years go? For years [before the internet] I thought it was Peter Cetera and Chigaco who recorded this. Lol! The song is timeless and certainly has longevity.
back in the date this was released i was 5 years old..
This is certainly a beautiful comment.
I remember this from my prom
Thank you Professor of Rock for reintroducing me to this forgotten favorite.
It's May 2022 and I'm still listening to this amazing song who still likes or loves this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always will. >!< =!=
God bless you! Be carefully.
Sending lots of LOVE and Prayers 🙏
GOD Bless your Beloved Wife in Heaven, Eternally!🙏❤️🌹
Hope your heart is slowly healing, beautiful song for your Amy.
This is how music should sound like. I love this song. It reminds me of the boy I was missing and we couldn't be together when I was in school.
Hi Tamara 💐💐
The best period. There is no more music like this guy, love the song.
I was like 9 or 10 when this came out. it was probably one of my first favorite songs

Indeed...
Having needs is normal as the sun shines bright each day arises. The sun has never failed to come up, only the clouds hinders its ability to shines sometimes. But, it is always bringing the light to our day.
Beautiful & amazing, how this song is felt...
anos 80 as músicas tinham alma, melodia, sentimentos, musicalidade latente, comovente, cativante.
hoje em dia não se vê isso, e quando nos deparamos com boas musicas, são como cometas, passam e deixam o seu brilho, mas para o grande publico, o que fica, são os lixos. a midia adora cultuar porcarias atualmente.
"Jack, what are we doing?"
I laughed my ass off during that scene 💀
I used to listen to this song over and over all night alone. I cared so much for this younger guy and he didn’t feel the same way. Many tears was shed😢😢😢😢😢
His voice is timeless and amazing. Really he didn't get bigger, especially with those pipes.
2023 and still a classic. Better than any of the new music. Goosebumps
One of the best love songs ever written!

I grew up in that era I don’t think it will ever come back it was great!!!!

All 80’s. Such a great time. Where did it go and look what we’re stuck with now. Radio now is crap!, times are sad and the world is insane. Luckily we still have songs like this, memories and 80’s apps.

Sausage Party Foodtopia Episode 6 brought me here. Great song.
Simpler lyrics, simpler rhythms, simpler messages, simpler times. God I miss the 80s.
