Today is a sad day for Rock N Roll.
It is with great sorrow we are letting the world know we have lost our brother: CJ Snare, the rock and roll warrior, lead vocalist, and a founding member of Firehouse.
CJ snare passed unexpectedly at home Friday night, April 5, 2024. He was a young 64 years old.
As you are all aware, CJ was expected to be back on stage with the band this summer after recovering from surgery.
We are all in complete shock with CJ's untimely passing.
CJ was was arguably one of the best vocal talents of a generation, touring the world with Firehouse non stop the past 34 years.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Snare family, Katherine Little, friends, and all our beloved fans all over the world.
"Reach for the Sky” CJ! You will be forever missed by family, friends, fans and your band mates. You’re singing with the angels now.

@@theblue9086 im sorry I wrote this a bit confusing, cj snare brother is a pastor, he took a whole different route then his brother...obviously haha, but yes believe it or not he has a identical voice to cj...its really weird, he's a really cool guy, we have alot in common with music and playing, he's very talented just like his brother.
30 yrs ago, I walked in to the local Pizza Hut to apply for a job. There was this cute little blonde waitress there, who got the application for me. Found out later that she told the other waitress, " what I could with that for 24 hrs." This album came out shortly after we got together, and this song became ours. 30yrs later and we're still together and she's still my love of a lifetime. Good times, bad times, hard times and easy times, we've been there for each other. There's no one else I could ever see myself with.
Edit: This past December, on our 30th anniversary ( 33 yrs together) date, we renewed our vows. Surrounded by friends made over the years, and our kids and their significant others as bridesmaids and groomsmen. Here's to 30 more with a Love of a Lifetime.

I spent my teens listening to glam metal bands, Firehouse among them, and now, near my 50th, I still do. I used to believe in love back then, but never found a love of a lifetime, so I don't think she truly exists. I was romantic to the point of overdramatic cheesiness back then, but this song however brings me warm memories of better times when I still held a number of hopes I no longer hold for a number of reasons.
Back on topic, death hits me harder today than ever before, maybe because I lost my dad back in February. My pops wasn't the staunchest metal fan, but I feel he liked that I liked metal probably because he thought it could somehow help me with a few of my issues, which proved true over time, and there were a few songs we got to enjoy together, particularly the power ballads of the 80s and 90s.

My name is Shannon Rae and I am the girl in this video. The video for Love Of A Lifetime was the first music video that I got cast for and I remember shooting it like it was yesterday in that downtown LA high rise. All of the guys were nice but CJ was particularly nice. We were supposed to shoot this video at midnight but they were shooting the video for Don’t Treat Me Bad first so we didn’t start shooting until 3am. Like a true gentleman, CJ asked me if it was ok if they shot their parts first as they were so tired from shooting the whole day so of course I said yes. They probably would have anyway but I thought it was a very nice gesture.

This song was dedicated to me 28 years ago from The Love of My Lifetime. Unfortunately we had to go our separate ways due to my mother moving me away, so we both ended up with different lives for the past 28 years, but we always stayed in touch through the years! Last February 8th we reunited on the phone since I was in Kansas & him in Idaho. 31 years ago, my husband and I walked out of the church, right after we got married, to this song. ❤ 2 kids and 2 grandkids and another on the way… we’ve had so many great memories. Things are a little rocky for us right now but I think of the words to our song “we know that the road is long, we know that we will be together because our love is strong.” Thank you for this song!!!
