Hi guys I have just had a comment from a viewer. After the adjustment is made. Lock the Axle nut with the supplied tool. Then tighten the Allen key adjustment bolts as they won’t be torqued up. Great advice, and just shows how we can help each other. Great tip
Hi there thanks for the video...iv tried today to do my cain. On left side is fine. But when I try to match up on right side it won't go down as I loosen it the bolt and the markers just seem to rattle as if loose and can't get it to go down to the 5 mark. Just will tighten up but not go down to the 5
I have found out that after the rear axle is tightened up you need to check the tension on the adjustment bolts, if you don’t they can vibrate lose and fall off.
Thanks for the tip. I can see the logic, once the adjustment is made and the axle bolt is tightened, they should be torqued up. I didn’t do that. Many thanks I’ll nip them up
Yes, and they take forever to replace. I have had one on order for a month now. Think I am going to go ahead and order two more. I had a flat tire on the way home from Iowa to FL and when they changed the tire I don't think they tightened it down properly and one fell off.
Yes I would be interested in the results. That said my SM brakes are very good especially the rear, so much so that I notice a distinct lack of pull up power on my Vstrom

Good vid. thanks
The EBC FA 209 front brake pads are said to work much better than stock. I'll let you know in a few months.
