I had a slight advantage to learning to do hill starts. My entire driveway is a steep hill. I had to learn this technique from the very start or I wasn't even going to get the bike out of the yard.
@@suryakantsharma its very dependant on the steepness of the hill, we are normally in 2nd gear on a hill if we are starting from a stop, taking off then going into 2nd but downhill mainly 3rd, its hard to say because there are so many factors to consider. At the end of the day it comes down to your bike and what gear it feels like it wants to be in

any gear is better than no gear
I mean upshifts and downshifts
