I saw Korn and Metallica way back in the day. Fieldy’s bass hung so lows he was bouncing it off the stage!! A lot of these songs reflect Jonathan Davis’s childhood, which would make a serious horror movie! I think these songs was very cathartic for him and the band. Great reaction as always!!!
@@andrewcruz3837 look it up very little has to do with him and more about what was going on in Bakersfield and the whole child pedo ring here hence why they adopted the "children of the Korn" I've talked to multiple people who were victims.
One of my favorite Korn songs is a remake of a Cheech and Chong song called Earache my Eye. It’s a hidden track on the Follow the Leader album. I found it when I fell asleep listening to the album and waking up to this song.
Korn is one of my favorite bands ever. From the old school you may want to listen "Twist/Chi" and for the recent releases you can try "worst is on its way". Great video!
korn always had a very beautiful contrasts between light and dark and have a good surfer california sound korn always had a very rich and full sounds whatever sounds that made sense to them such a funky and heavy the Fieldy's bass is very prominant has a thick sound and that is one aspect and the fact that no one else sounded llike them they were so creative lyrically compositions and conceptually
The sound of this song is perfect in all ways, one of their bests no doubt and forever in my top 10 by them. Absolutely great. Because you love the sound of Fieldy's bass, I think any of the Take a look in the mirror songs was good for you, like Did my time or Y'all want a single (Right now too, but the lyrics in their video isn't the official, they changed it because the censorship), or another of their bests: Got the life.
Love the guitar in this song. So happy you're reacting to this song. ☮️ Next find a fan edit of "twisted transister". The group muted their music vid of their song. 😆
There was a lot of abuse in vocalist Jonathan Davis' life growing up... coming from a broken home. KoRn actually debuted this single in 1999 (from the 'Issues' album) by appearing animated on an episode of 'South Park' 😂 They made it like an episode of 'Scooby-Doo' and bassist Fieldy was made to look like 'Thelma' 😂
BTW: Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit's singer and frontman) directed this video and made a cameo. It's a blink and you miss moment, when Jon is twisting and contorting on the last chorus.
That Band made me Help a few Friends of mine, 20 Years ago, which had Problems like Jonathan had. I wouldn´t even have realized it without Korn, they made me learn English too, i´m from Germany. Beat up and Rape Kids is a real problem in our World. And they made me start learn to play and slap Bass-Guitar too.
Watched this music video for the first time in many years a few months ago and ya just watching it triggered emotions i didn't know i had. It definitely hit hard. Song is amazing but ya the meaning of the song hits you hard.
Triggering can be an outlet if done in a certain way, and Korn was mine. Over the years, I like to describe their heavy sound as high-density feels. Cause volume is a sizable part of the equation lol.
Dear Mollie, to get an even more disturbing experience, you should react to the song Daddy by Korn (Studio Version), it is very long (Almost 20 minutes), and I can't find words to describe how hard it is, however, it is an experience necessary inside the Korn world.
The time I saw them it was pretty crazy because it was outdoors on Halloween night on year for a big show. Playing with Alice Cooper, a7x and Rob zombie so those were crazy bands to play on Halloween night.
Pensé que no ibas a escuchar la continuación al tema de "Freak of the leash"..... Te recomiendo que te veas el Icon de MTv que le hicieron a "Merallica", Korn hace un cover del tema "ONE".... es una total y absoluta locura.....
If you want to hear something that is not sick but beautiful, you should listen to "The Wallflowers" in one of the best songs I have heard in a long time "One Headlight". The lead singer is the sun of David Bovie, Jacob Bovie. He has the same special voise as his dad. The band is called the most underrated band from the 90's. I would love to se your reaction to it, and I'm sure that you will love it. Another thing about it - I know that you love some guitar playing, IT HAS A VERY DESTINGT GUITAR all the way through.
Hii i'm from Malaysia. Please react Adam gontier i don't care. The underated singer. This band play cello very heavy. Adam gontier has beautiful voice👉👈
I saw them in a small club the year they came out with their first album. I was up against the stage. JD is a powerful presence. Watch "Daddy" from their first album if you really want to be disturbed. You've been warned.
Ok Millie here’s a challenge. Putting this out on a number of reaction channels. Let’s see which channel is first to review WASP and their song Heaven’s hung in black.
That is point its about domestic voilence like more you listen to Korn more you get Davis really was abused as a child and had a horrible childhood. Its why their music did so good, like I heard it in 90s, back then people still ignored it. My dad would take me out back and taunt me, as he beat me up, and neighbors would just turn on vacumes to drain it all out. Like wasn't till late 2000s they made it a state law they got investigate all DV claims, then DA gets call to press charges or not. But before that if kid was scarred to testifiy you could 100% get away with it. Unless some one had like 20 lb camcorder on their shoulder worth crap ton of money and was recording you do it, you were in clear and cops wouldnt' do much. Like my dad made sure to never leave marks where it could be seen at school. Allways the torso, back, once he got bored with spanking me. Like in 4th grade I got in a fight, and nurse reported I had bruises on my back and principal when talking to both of us in front of our dads was like "so why did you hit him in the back while he was down?" And kid was like "I WOULD NEVER DO THAT!" And my dad reacted way too much, and got me to say "nope he must done it, how else would it get there..." and from that day on I had principal acting like a budy asking me a dozen questions a week trying to get me to come forward but I was undiagnosed autistic so never realized it. Plus like most i was convinced no one would beleive me, and they would side with him. Like one time he even handed me the cordless phone in like 2001 dared me to call the cops and told me they would arrest me for filing false report. Like Korn really helped a lot of kids and teens in 90s... We felt all alone till we had that music.
I know you are a bassist and like a good funky bass line, so check out Up On Cripple Creek by the band that song has the funkiest Baseline it I've ever heard
Korn's music usually has that effect. As a kid, Jonathon Davis suffered from a lot of abuse at the hands of his father unfortunately including sexual assault. A lot of the distressing themes in Korn's music are his way of dealing with all the shit he's dealt with. Very powerful music.
When I listen to new music, I typically avoid music videos because they often depict a different vibe or vision. In The early days, I listened to radio, I din't have cable TV and thus MTV.
A new generation Japanese artist is now popular in the U.S. and other countries, what do you think of the reaction? The name of the artist is "XG" and the video is "SHOOTING STAR (Official Music Video)".
