Today I’m sharing a Costco haul with you featuring lots of snack, quick meals, produce and items for my toddlers.
At the end of the video, we also do a taste test on a couple of the Costco treats we found. Laugh along with us as we try out some white cheddar puffs, new dark chocolate almonds and Sauerkraut!

That recipe is called sauerkraut hotdish.
Ohhh ... yum! Sauerkraut on a hotdog! I fry some diced onion, garlic and chilli, pop that in a hotdog bun, add a grilled beef frank, top with sauerkraut and grated cheese, grill the whole thing until the cheese has melted - and then splash liberally with tomato sauce (ketchup to you guys) and mustard when it's done. It's an absolute flavour explosion, but so darn good! :D
This sounds like the ultimate weekend meal! I just got some hot dogs in recently, just need to get some buns and I’m going to try this. Thank you!

Sauté it with onion put in crisp bacon, some light brown sugar and eat with kielbasa

"We are not sauerkraut people." 🤣When I was growing up, we had it once a year with a pork roast on New Year's Day for good luck. I think it is a German tradition. My mother put some spices in it (like caraway seed?) and cooked it with the roast. And we had mashed potatoes with it. Those flavors together tasted good to me. I haven't had it since my mom passed many years ago. Thanks for bringing humor to the sauerkraut. Have a great week!

Girl! That better than bouillon Italian herb is amazing! I use it in Italian dishes, on chicken as a rub or marinade, in meatloaf and meatballs, I've used it to make an Italian dressing. I've put some in some evoo and drizzled it diced tomatoes and put on top of cottage cheese, I've used it in soups and casseroles and stews...I know I'm rambling but it is amazing and now it is a staple in our home! ❤
I love all of these ideas! I used it yesterday to make marry me chicken and it was so good!! I’m definitely going to copy you and do it as a marinade for my chicken! Thank you. ♥️

I'm proud of you for trying the sauerkraut! I have the exact same container in my fridge. I add it to salads, Buddha bowls, and it goes great with potatoes, so on top of baked potatoes or mashed or steamed potatoes. Even in potato salad. It's also great on sandwiches! Hint: the brine is great too. Add it to dressings and marinades (I do the same with dill pickle juice!)

Yes, I love sauerkraut with mashed potatoes. I grew up on this, but I think it was from the can. Love me some sourness. I love your narration of your videos.😊

The tzatziki sauce is good with chips as a dip so try it with the tortilla chips that you have gotten for a treat!!!

I love sauerkraut! It is delicious with sausage and eggs, but my favorite way is eating it with stew beef and rice.

I love sauerkraut, but I’m the only one in my house that does. I watch another TH-cam channel - Natural & Simple Living-and she buys the sauerkraut from Costco too, when they don’t make their own.

I’m originally from Northern NJ and up there people eat sauerkraut on hotdogs or sausages/bratwurst with mustard. 😋 I’m in MD now and here they eat sauerkraut as a side dish for Thanksgiving! 😮 I also vegan and raw vegan TH-camrs. They eat it as a side. I plan to try it as a side after watching you guys! I love your taste tests!😂

I grew up with sauerkraut. It's delicious.
I’m now wishing I grew up with it! Lol
Sauerkraut is delicious with the Teton Polish sausages. Be careful if a ferment is new to you... if you eat too much at once it can cause gas and bloating etc. Start with a tablespoon or two. Sauerkraut will get more sour over time like kimchi does. I love your taste tests!
Edited to add that if you heat it or cook it the probiotic benefits are lost.

Hey girl hey! I am trying to catch up with your videos from the last week or 2. My stepdad has really declined and it has been more difficult to get online. Happy to see a friendly face! The "T" in tzatziki is not silent. It is pronounced tuh-zee-kee. I love gyros, tzatziki is one of my favourite dips/sauces. Also, because I am such a good friend I wanted to tell you that Rao's is pronounced Ray-ohs. I also love the chopped kits, the ultimate ones are so good, I always grab them at Costco. I will look for the Victoria marinara, I was there last week and was going to buy Rao's but it is almost $20 in Canada for 2. I am not trying to remortgage my house so I can have some spaghetti. I love sauerkraut, I could eat it by the jarful, but it is an acquired taste. I like to warm a bit of it in the microwave for like 5 seconds and for some reason that makes it better (to me.) @@caitcoska I have this weird anxiety about mispronouncing names etc. so I am forever looking up how to pronounce something so I don't offend people. My last name is Portuguese and I am constantly having it spell it out for people, so I think that is where I get this weird pronunciation obsession. Thank you for the kind words and care for my stepdad. Dementia is the worst disease, it completely strips people of their dignity and personhood. Some days are better than others, but we are keeping him at home for hospice, it is one of my nursing specialties so that makes it a little less daunting. Thank you for making such great content, it isn't just grocery hauls, you bring humour and personality that makes the videos so entertaining!

There is a recipe for sauerkraut casserole that uses hamburger, cream of mushroom soup and I think rice. Google it and see if you would like it. My teen boys loved it.
