I was the most comprehensive, including the small clip that jumped off, that allowed me to correct the fit of the door panels on my son's Jetta after we got it back from the body shop. Mine was the driver's side and I needed to fix the mirror switch as well. Never would have gotten through the process without your guidance.

im a mid tech. bodyman and this door panel was driving me nuts. i couldnt figure out how to access the torque in the middle of the panel and all data wasnt helping. pointing out that false panel helped me alot. good video. thanks man.
Easy!! Thank you for this video man. There’s a bracket at the bottom in the middle. I thought it was one of the brackets that pop out and stay on the door… IT IS NOT lol I broke it off. It’s actually the spot where you screw the bottom panel screw in so leave it in the door!! Lol
Thanks for the video. I have to put on a rt rear door on 14 jetta and this helped, although I broke the frt door inner blk handle clip popping the panel off for tear down. Darn. Looks like I have to replace the cable now. Now I find your video for the handles!
Great video, just trying to muster the courage since my back speaker is blown and needs to be replaced. The back uses part number 5C6-035-710-B and looks a bit different, what else sets these apart from the front, other than looks.
Thanks guy. Great video. My VW Jetta fogs up SO BAD. I thought I had a leak in the door speaker. Turns out not. VW must have just had a bad design on the defrost vents. Did yours fog up like crazy?
This was a customers car. Make sure you don’t have a heater core leak. Check the floors on passenger and driver’s to see if the are wet or smell like antifreeze

Some as***** left s big dent on my door and I was considering trying to push it out by removing the panel and pushing from the inside
are the speaker sizes 5.25 inches? i opened one door and it appeared to be so and i didnt open the back but they seem very similar and the part numbers for a “new speaker” are practically interchangeable
Someone pushed in the body fillet on my rear passenger door. If I pull off the door panel, can I access the body from the inside and lightly push it back out or is there no access?
Cesotoseot you can try. You will probably have to remove the plastic liner. You might have some access, not full access, because of the window regulator and motor

Dude!! SAME!! I'm actually having to replace the cable. The original snapped when I slammed the driver door one morning 😬😬🤦♀️ But the door lock actuator on these have a tendency to fail..... Cheap plastic crap- just like the ignition. Only question is When, not if, cuz it's gonna happen at some point
Roman Haduniak i believe it is similar. Once you get the switch panel off, with a small screwdriver you can remove window switch from window switch panel ( if it looks similar)
Was hoping taking off the door panel would give me full window access. Think it's from people slamming my door but I can push the window down and it won't roll all the way up. It stops at about an inch from the top and it sounds like the motor disengages after that. Then as I'm driving the window will slowly fall down, then I have to get out and physically push it down, just so I can roll it back up almost to the top. Hope that all made sense. Suggestions?
Slam the door really hard. It seems to be a common issue, you can drop by the VW forums to learn more, but if I recall correctly, there is a spring that gets caught occasionally as it gets weaker. A good slam might grant it freedom.
@raiderman28 just got the kit from coutchfield, RF Prime r165-s x4. Going to install this weekend. The adapter kits are free with purchase.installing the tweeters are going to be dumb...
@@Unternehman yeah tweeters are not straightforward like most speakers. Sometimes you have to glue them in place. Also if they are components. You will have to find a place to put the crossover and run a new wire from that to the speaker and tweeter. Factory wire goes into the crossover and then crossover to mid and to tweeter.

If it won’t open from the inside or outside, it will be super tough to get to the inside of the door. You will have to remove the front seats and take them out through the other door, then try to remove the panel. This is pretty difficult, because it is hard to grab the panel to pull off. If you can manage to remove the panel ( which i have done on other vehicles, not jetta’s) then your half way there. If you can get it off, then you can see if something has broken or come off. Usually a clip on the rod that opens the door or the cable or clip on the locking side has issues
Que tal Jorge, tengo un GLI 2016 que también produce ruidos al pasar por pavimento no uniforme o al dar algunas vueltas pronunciadas, es como un choque de plásticos, he intentado lubricar los plásticos de la puerta y también desarmar el panel sin éxito, en la agencia no lo arreglan y considero que es mas un tema de diseño que de ensamble, el ruido proviene de la puerta trasera derecha y muchas personas que conozco tienen el mismo problema con alguna de las puertas, lo corregí un poco usando grafito entre los plásticos, espero te sirva.

it could be the guide at the door jam (the black thing). try spraying WD40 or adding grease to it). your car doesnt have an actual door lock rod, so it can't be that. the only other thing, could be the frame of the window or window motor being loose. take off panel and remove bolts and retighten them.

I am not sure, it is probably best to contact a dent removals guy. They have special tools to take dents out.

I checked on www.metraonline.com and it shows 6.5” on the front and rears not 5.25”

what if there is broken glass in the door, can i take the speaker out and put a vacuum hose through the hole to get to the broken glass?

On my European Jetta 2013 there's a bolt in the middle behind the panel I couldn't get to
tinting a Jetta is a pain in the ass I did my Jetta without taking off the panel Next time I’ll take the panels off
Cuban Link 2010 i use to do them that way and they were a pain. It’s a pain to take off the panels , but installing tint much easier

Ruben Pietrobelli that wont fix a door lock, they are sealed. They usually burn out and can be repaired, just replaced
