Hey bro. Just wanted to thank you. My bike just flooded in Milton and I'm no mechanic, but I drained everything out. Did a lot and it seems to run okay bhut started clicking. I took that solenoid off and you wouldn't t believe the corrosion in there in a week. I live on the river, so it was salt water. I cleaned it out, flushed it and it fired right up perfectly Even sounds better than before. Videos are great but you should go into more detail because it'll help more thank you
Nice video! I appreciate the time and work put into it. I’m currently dealing with starter issues on an Evo. When the starter switch is engaged, the headlight dims and there’s a very quiet click. Not a loud click like that one in the video has. Would you say it’s the solenoid or starter, most likely? Any recommendations for a next step?
Try putting a push start solenoid on it before assuming it’s dead, the wiring is notorious for being faulty, but of course with its age that’s expected if it hasn’t been loved on
First thing I would check is the battery. Then check the voltage at the 50 terminal on the starter with the starter button depressed. If no voltage it is probably the starter relay
Where's part 2??? F*cking Helene flooded mine to about the same level. I drained the primary before I ran it and it had the tiniest bit of water in it. Filled it, ran it, drained the primary again and it looked like a milk shake??? My buddies mech said that's not unusual. Anybody know why that is? Anyhow, drained tranny, think I did the primary 2 more times, and it ran fine for a week. Now I get all my lights but doesn't even try to turn over. It's a 2011 so I think they did away with the solenoid after '11. Gonna try this I guess

What if water goes into the entire motor .mine just did . Need help . Water went completely over the seat .
I had to completely rebuild this entire bike. Probably not worth it if you are going to pay someone to do it

I had to completely rebuild everything on this bike. Including replacing the wiring harness.
