David, you make it look so easy. As a fellow modeler, I know how much time goes into a typical completed model, especially one done to the superb level you do. Not to mention shooting the companion video & all that involves. Well done…again. You set a VERY high bar!
Соглашусь с вами!
Oh yeah for sure, it's very satisfying to complete though
Antennaes are tied down to prevent contact with powerlines inside of towns and villages.
Always wondered if you could 3D print an entire model. The result is beyond my expectation! Sky's the limit!
I know of a couple of 3D printed car kits. Iceman Collections had a Morgan Threewheeler and now has a 72 Ford Maverick.
I just saw one earlier today for an HE-111. I didn't look further but thought it interesting.
Yea but you get better results in sections anyways
Love the Sherman family photos at the end.
Just in case you didn't do so, removing supports before fully curing makes them a lot easier to remove, also running the model under hot/warm water can soften the resin allowing the supports to seperate easier as well, besides that great model!
And using a ball type for your point of contact rather than the cone on your supports doesn't dig in your mini when you free it from it's base ;)
The main purpose of the lanyard on the antenna is to keep it from shattering when slapping against trees, building, the underside of bridges, or power lines. Modern antenna are usually copper sheathed in fiberglass as an insulator...older stuff would have been sheathed in something similar bakelite.
We had 2 on strykers they suck
@@thehatefulkoala6891 Back in the day I drove M113s...the antenna mounts were right behind the drivers hatch. I can't tell you how many time I got smacked in the back of the head by them when they weren't tied down.
@@Phillipthe2bad and naughty drivers get hwhipped by antennas
Amazing how well it turned out! In the past you could tell 3D printed parts from across the room. This model looked good even when still attached to the 3D support sprues. 3D printing has come a long way and is definitely the future to small scale modeling.
As always; it's a treat to watch a Plasmo video - cheers!
I love 72 scale armor. a perfect size to collect as many as possible. As always Plasmo, your work is impeccable.
3D Printing is so good for subjects like this in scales where no kit exists. You did a great job on this one. The Super Sherman really is a beast!
Yes, but from the other hand it moves the traditional modelling requiring hand skills to cad modelling. We are entering "print'em all". I wonder how it's handled on competition models?
1/72 scale is sooo difficult for tanks !
Amazing job !
Hi
Another beautiful build. We'll done.
A heads up for aerial/ antenna, I use the bristles of the dust pan brush. They are very flexible, so they won't snap off easily.
I am looking forward to your next build.
Hey! Try to use ball tips on supports. it's easier to remove without useing side cutters and not damaging your model. Also try to remove supports BEFORE uv light - it's also easier and cleaner. Or after uv deep into hot water and then remove supports - hot water softens thin resin parts for a short time
What a wonderful time to live in; if you want a particular model or piece, you just print it. I’d love to have the skill (and money) to dabble in 3D printing.
Kudos for the great work. Not only is the technique and skill amazing, but the editing of the video is top notch.
Wow this looks amazing, Some time ago I bought a M2 medium tank printed in 3D as this one, and I can say that I really based myself on your technique
PD: 16:00 Me in War thunder be like:
Affirmative!
As someone who is really eager to unlock the Israeli M51 in War Thunder I am very glad this video came out today
Its very interesting tank
The bullet who have the m51 (i think is heat) is really interesting and usefull, i killed a lot of panthers and tigers 2, because have a lot of pen to his br and tier (i think so XD)
Which is why its cancer. Cant remenber when in 1944 a jewish army had a 105mm sherman with 400mm pen HEAT @@gmartipe5546
Actual wr thunder player? Damn bro is probably sweating right now. I’m joking ofc play whatever game u want to 😂
@@alex-q8-q9 haha I play in the evenings after homework but yeah it's fun I wanna unlock Israeli tanks or Russian tanks (and helis I'm excited) but idk
Great video about the issues you have to deal with when printing a model out of resin. The UV resin with brush 🖌️ is a great solution. I'm always surprised about your details in this small scale 💪
The M-51 is my favorite tank, and I was just about to build a kit of it! Very good timing I say! And it turned out great too!
I’ve built an M-51 from Dragon model with Modelltrans conversion and 3D printed tracks. It is the best Sherman ever.
Plasmo is my favorite modeler all of his models are incredibly detailed
co dodat . mazec jako vždy. nejhezčí šermen
During the Vietnam war, the antenna was tied down because the trees would hang low and tankers would have trouble with the wire getting snagged on the low hanging thick leaves
This is actually right
Did the same in Iraq, but to avoid becoming the ground to a power line.
Fantástico trabajo 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Turned out great! 3d printing is making such a huge impact on our hobby and is only limited by our imagination. I'm not convinced that color is right for an IDF vehicle but I really like the weathering and all the small details make this project really stand out! 👍
Beautiful model! Love the outcome and thoroughly enjoy seeing your models develop/come to completion in every video, Awesome job!!
David! You’ve come so far in the last 6yrs man, really enjoy your content. Best out there
The combination with 3D print and paiting is fascinating. Please more of them. Actually i printed and painted a sturmtiger and a Sherman from 3d fortress.
Small, detailed, gorgeous 3in1
Excellent and accurate, each video and each creation are a real joy for the eyes and an incentive to improve one's techniques, well done
I'm in the same page: building a BMD-2 in 72 scale I just converted in kit. Good work, as always
Apart from the exceptional skills, the music choice to accompany the video is always perfect too.
He really loves the 1/72 scale models! He is a professional at that size by now
Its amazing the details that you get for such a small model. I have trouble with 1/35 scale. Couldn't imagine something that small.
Incredible job on the 3D print and details. Your painting and finishing touches really captures the weathering and wear on the model. Fantastic job!
Once again you made a masterful piece. I am nowhere near your skill set but I do enjoy watching your work.
Thank you.
wow, 4500 views and 1000 likes in first hour! Congratulations, you are obviously doing something right that we want to see!
HELLO nice detailing and beautiful results as always! just an advice if I may, you can sumergue the model in hot water before curing the resin, then the supports will easily fall apart. And I imagine you are touching the cured model with out globes, but if it is not cured I wouldn´t recomend to touchit whitout the proper globes. BEst regards from argentina!
Bravo to do 1 72 models and giving us informations on that....
Hot tip from someone who prints professionally - the supports are a lot easier to remove and cause less damage to the model if you remove them right after you remove the model from the wash cycle and before you cure the resin. I hope this helps!
Офигенная модель я всегда восхищаюсь вашими работами и честно парой вдохновляет. В последней музыкальной композиции опечатка wilds должно быть я струдом смог найти эту композицию. Спасибо за очередную модель!
Lovely work as always.
One day I'd love to see a CV90 build :)
Thanks so much for sharing not only your marvelous work, but also your knowledge. She's a beauty!
I just hope at some point in my model building path that i can produce a model that looks as realistic as yours. Beautiful as always, love your work.
1:20 How long does the UV resin take to cure? What specs of light makes this work better? I have a 48 watt UV light for nail salon work and some unknown offbrand UV resin, and after 5 minutes it's still tacky.
Its brighter color scheme makes it look cuter than the American Sherman tanks.
Amazing work as usual from you!
A mini masterpiece David.
You have love these Super Sherman's, I always enjoy your videos and have learnt alot.
Always happy to see you have posted a new video
We just got a 3D printer and now I'm excited for modeling from that....oh man!
Another great build. For a real challenge though, you should consider building a fire truck!!!
Superb skills David, as usual 👏
I wouldn't want to be inside that tank when the main gun was fired 😅
Don't think there's a better modeler than PLASMO 😅
The Chad off all Shermans.
Thank you , David .

another great video. they are so interesting and very calming to watch. Thanks for sharing your great skill!
To je zase pecka sakra.Palec nahoru!!
WOW, Fantastic Job!
Its awesome to see that 3D printed models are more common now a days! But if im not mistaken trumpeter has a plastic model of the super sherman in 1/72🤔 any way! The model looks awesome! Hope i can get my shop runing again soon! Cheers!
Man…. I would live to see you tackle World War Toons tanks. ❤
Next time before curing your Resin prints, take some lurk warm water, dunk your prints in there and then remove the supports. They will come off much cleaner and require less post processing. But take care to wash it thouroughly and let it dry completly to not pollute the water with resin
One word - amazing!
Man, as always amazing work, well done👍🏻
Looking amazing mate.
Splendid as always!
Excellent work! I'd love if you could make a video on your full 3D printing process sometime.
Another amazing build. Was the resin you used with the UV light the same resin the model was printed in?
Hey dude! I love your videos so much! You make me feel calm inside! Greetings from australia! Ps:the model looks great! I saw it in the thumbnail and I love it
The purpose of tieing (sp?) the antenna was to keep the from whipping around over uneven terrain, fast driving or when dudes were on top or hanging out the hatches. They also kept the antennas from breaking. They were flexible to an extent but could be super brittle in very cold conditions.
Tying. 🙂
Nice Build 👌 Enjoyed the shot w the 3 Sherman's shoulder to shoulder 👍 if you ever do another Sherman could you make it Oddballs from the Kelly's Hero`s Movie
When I saw the video thumbnail image and then your channel icon.
I automatically tapped to play
Realy impressive build and some excellent etra details like the crack in the light! Really nice finish would love to see you build the Trumpeter kit of this alongside in a dio with a destroyed T-55 or something? 😎
To be fair M-51 IS available in 1/72 as both full resin kit AND conversion for Dragon, Trumpeter or other Sherman kits.
For instance by ModellTrans who are based in Germany and should be well available in Czech Republic.
Finally some minor modifications right from begining :D
INCREDIBLE 🍻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
14:23 you have the V pointing up, but in the photographs the V is pointing towards the rear.
There's always one in the crowd. .. 🙄
@@jonathanhudak2059 I mean... 0:29 why? Its literally there :D
@@jonathanhudak2059 I'd always rather be one in the crowd then one of the crowd.
@@billgriffiths1685 I feel sorry for people like you, then again maybe not
@randomnickify good catch I guess. I just can't stand the pessimistic rivet counter types. David does a phenomenal job on this Sherman and some people all they can say is to point out a minor error rather than be complimentary on the body of work as a whole, sigh! 🫤 it's like get a life already
Great job........well done
Cool as always 👍
A masterpeace as always..that Videos gives me chills ... hope He will never Posting this Gold stuff.💪
Good video as always! Thank you!
Hee Plasmo, its easier to remove support if you remove them before curing. but use gloves when you do!
yea and i heard that hot water or hairdryer works too
@@roychen9568 hairdryer seems dangerous since heat can damage the model itself, resin hates heat.
@@randomnickify idk i just remember i heard that somewhere
It's so beautiful 😍 it's art not modeling 😊, master level.
Wash. Remove supports. Cure
There should be next to no post processing. Dial in your support and resin settings and you should be able to simply pull the supports away after the wash phase then cure with barely any sanding or detail loss
I love all your content! Especially because I love the 1/72 scale stuff! I´m doing a lot of 3D printing my own, have you ever tried to remove the supports bevor drying? I had a lot more success by removing them before hardening!
David you’re just amazing!!!! Just curious what do u do with all the models you build?
Nice build
Lol love these shermans, an old war horse that just never backed down.
Которых Тигры как консервных банок шили.
Nice, I wish somebody would make a kit of this in 1/72nd scale.
You can kitbash one from the Trumpeter M4 WOT and an M4A3E8. It won't be perfect, but it won't be too far off.
The Trumpeter French M4 has the correct gun but you'd need the M4A3E8 as Skyifly24 says. Knowing Trumpeter, the parts of both kits would probably be slightly out of scale as well.
I've learned so much from you and I enjoy every your episode. Have you thought of building AN225 Mria? Zvezda have it in 1:72 scale? Or, maybe, Mi-26? My lovely scale is 1/72 and I've build Mi26 and I just can't stop looking at how enourmous it is, compared to the others 1/72. I suppose the Mria would be marvellous.😊
Nice ! There is one M51 in 3D print available on ebay but the tracks are on the wrong way.....
Steam train prop ww2 fighters on final, great work with the print
A 0.9mm thick part (on paper) being 1.0 or 1.1 is common. Think "loose" in precision is probably just a part of it.
Would love to see Your take on Astra Militarum tanks from WH 40k
Amazing skills. But i miss the old good days whit the ww2 dioramas like the kv2 or that fw diorama and the other ones...
Could you make a more detailed video tutorial on 3D projects where you show how to draw and use the 3D drawing software you use to edit the models?
He don't, he just buys ready models. There are literally hundreds of channels teaching people how to make 3d models and print them. And probably dozen of pages where you can buy ready models.
Amazing!
As always, perfect!
It would be awesome, if you could make a tutorial, how to create a 3D model? I‘m about to buy a resin printer and want to create own stuff, if I need something to replace.
i got the Anycubic D2 in Nov. I have printed out so so sooooooo much stuff from 1/200 upward. As i type this i am printing out a 1/16th US paratrooper. my first ever resin printer... its not as hard to set up and clean etc as i had thought
There are literally hundreds of channels explaining that.
@@randomnickify which one can you recommend?
In Iraq and Afghanistan we would lower antennas because they would tear down power and communication lines of the local residents when moving around populated areas.
Wow .. just, um, Wow!
Neviem či je to náhoda alebo na tom pracuješ ale cítiť, že máš lepšiu angličtinu ako pred pár rokmi! Super! :)
That is beautiful.
