Rickson was know for his cross choke from inside the guard and also mounted. In tournaments once Rickson got one grip in the crowd would start chanting down from 10 and his opponent always tapped before the count ended.

Wow . . . . I was taught the "get your hands in deep and turn your wrists towards yourself, pull him towards you, then open the chest" cross-collar choke technique (Gracie Academy style). This is so much more efficient and easy.
Holy cow. I watched this a couple of times, and I watched the palm-up/palm-up vid with Bernardo. I put it to work at live rolls last night, and it was really successful. The whole concept of using the palm-up/palm-down from one angle and using the palm-up/palm-up from the other angle kept my partners guessing (I sprinkled in triangle threats, too, to get their minds off of the cross collar). Thank you!

Great stuff, clarifies a lot... On the first choke when you sit up and deflect his posting arm, does your forearm and elbow make contact or pressure into his chest? Uke taps out even before the second hand comes in.
