      I was told by a mechanic shop that I need a new starter and I replaced my starter 3 times within the last 4 years now, last time I changed it was 2 years ago mechanic says starting issue is my starter, I researched on line it could be a starter relay. I told him and he said we'll OK we can try that first, he looked at me like how did you know about cars? he also said I had a leak in my power steering, the rack and pinions, I googled Lucas power steering. I believe I just need power steering fluid stop leak, read it helps with the rack and pinion problem

It didn't completely fix my power steering binding but it sure has made it drive easier and better on the road. It is really close to back to factory spec. I am going to do another run of trans tune and see if I can blast off another layer of varnish and crud. Honda CRV 2007. This stuff has probably saved me from buying a new rack. Thank you so much for all your frugal wisdom.

I'm a mechanic and I do all my own work to my cars thought I had to put in a rack or a pump. I figured I'll try it I used the exact same stuff he described it was like 7 dollars I was very skeptical thought it would never work. went through the process except I had to hold the steering against the stops for a bit. Worked great!! never had an issue ever again and it's been about 4 months love this Chanel and videos!

    My car has sounded terrible for the past 6 months. 2006 Honda CRV 160K miles. I used the baster, removed the old fluid, it was already very low.... bought a couple cans of the generic Honda fluid and the Seafoam trans fluid you recommended.... pulled all the old fluid completely.....replaced with half a tank with new fluid, idled the car for probably 45 minutes added half a can of the sea foam and worked the steering wheel every 5 minutes.... at the end, I siphoned all the dirty fluid out and replaced the new fluid entirely. Works like a DREAM! You saved me big money man. God bless people like you. @@JolinHard No, never got the answer. I put it in an early 90's BMW and afterwards the car started making a terrible grinding noise whenever I turned the steering wheel all the way to the left. I think the problem fixed itself because I don't hear the noise anymore. I remember the noise only happened when the car was NOT running. The car almost didn't make a noise while running and turning. The noise was more evident when the car was idling It was my brother's car, and I haven't really checked again to see if the noise is still there when the car is idling. I drove it recently and no noise was made, but that is only because it was moving. I am too scared to turn the steering wheel while car is idling...I am afraid it will make the noise again and something will break, because the noise was really harsh.

    God do I wish I came here $330 ago. My incompetent mechanic told me that I needed a new power steering pump. 2 weeks and $330 later, my power steering is back to terrible. When my reservoir is full, it works perfectly though. 2 weeks after refilling the power steering reservoir, my steering wheel begins to pull and stiffen over time so there must be a slow leak. :(

    How much ps fluid do you extract from reservoir before putting in sea foam?

    Thanks!!

    • @jsm9096
      @jsm9096 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's what I want to know too. Scotty doesn't specify how much power steering fluid to remove from the reservoir with the turkey baster before putting the Sea Foam in, and he doesn't say if you're supposed to remove all the power steering fluid from the reservoir (then replace it with fresh power steering fluid) once you've run the Sea Foam through your power steering systems. I'm confused. Help!
