I once booked a weekend in late spring at a mountaintop lodge (accessible by road) in Arkansas that has spectacular views. There was so much fog all weekend that the visibility was only about 20 feet. It wasn't even possible to see to the parking from the door of the lodge.
I'd like to see that mountain in sunshine and with all.its views to survey it's surroundings..
