I think the tilt makes a huge difference when it comes to a select few genres/styles, most of Anomalie's listeners actually care about seeing him play it just as much as they care about listening to it.

Yeah, there's a Reverb video about how he uses Ableton to automate patch changes.
Just saw him live, there's definitely an Ableton session happening. Especially obvious during songs with pre-recorded vocals.
