I was about to attempt to paint this gorgeous flower but was unsure how I wanted to start. Saw your video and now I'm clear on how I will proceed. Thank you for your timely tutorial.
Hydrangeas are my favorite flowers. I have attempted to paint them and was happy with the outcome. I was mesmerized watching you paint them. Amazing work. I will definitely come back for more! Thank U so much for sharing your style.
Thank you, on the wet on dry part, i learned a lot on values, shadowing and what i call « contaminating » like when you added a bit of the violet on the green leaves. Even though you don’t talk over the video it was very informative. Thank you! ❤
This was SO helpful! It gives me a feel for the possibilities of each technique, and also and appreciation of both. This contrasting format is super helpful, and the clarity and organization you put into your demonstrations are much appreciated. Lovely work, really helpful instruction!
Love both techniques Hyun, thanks for sharing this. The wet on wet, gives a softer more colourful and looser feel. The wet on dry makes the petals stand out more. The look is tighter and more realistic - seems to take longer to do. Hard to decide which one I prefer. Take care & be safe, OOO virtual hugs from Vancouver, Canada.
I just found you and love your paintings. I very much appreciate the contrast of techniques. I have always been fascinated by watercolor painting and am learning so much from you. Thank you for sharing you gift.
Thank you, Hyun, I love that you show the difference in wet on wet and wet on dry! This helps me so much! I think I prefer wet on dry technique because it is more realistic but most of the other teachers I learn from seem to like wet on wet or more loose technique and I am so confused. This helps make it clear for me. I would love it if you would teach animals to, if you don't mind, stay safe and again. Thank you for your generosity and great teaching. 🇨🇦 Joy 🎨🖌😊❤
Brilliant tutorial!!!:) I absolutely love this format of tutorials showing these two techniques, so helpful! for many of us loving both styles, leaning both techniques on the same subject and trying to decide which one we feel more comfortable with:) Thank you for sharing such detailed and extremely helpful tutorials Hyun! Feeling very inspired and confident to give this a go!:)
Wow thank you for showing both techniques, I always use wet on dry and have tried wet in wet and it's hard to know the right timings. You did an amazing job, it really showed off your skills. Bravo from North Bay Ontario Canada friend🇨🇦👍🙏😀
Wow.. This work is extremely masterful and beautiful. Both of them are amazing, and you are very successful at both technique. Love your paintings dear Hyun. Thanks for sharing.
some things I observed: wet on wet large brushes to create a base layer, fine brush strokes for details on top base layers are wetter than the details? some notes on composition: more details on near-side instead of far-side, simulating light. perhaps
Wow I didn't know you can create white lines by scratching the paper It's amazing how the painting "bloomed" after being sparyed with water... I noticed how she painted the upper left before the bottom right out of practical concerns... my st*pid a*s would have painted the middle first haha xD

Incrível!!!
Love them both!! Really inspired by art!
thank you! so glad you feel inspired by the video😍
On the wet on wet how do the more detailed petals not spread? Is it just because of the consistency of the paint?
Oh wow, you are very talented! I love Hydrangeas, we have them in our garden! Well done!
thanks a lot!!😃 for visiting my channel and lovely comment😍
Wow this is so beautifully done. ❤❤❤ I liked your painting a lot. You're really a pro on watercolor. ❤

I like how watercolor has some intrinsic randomness. Brownian, so to speak. Like hevel.
I will definitely recreate both versions.
Wow I didn't know you can create white lines by scratching the paper

Yes, that’s right. Small brushes are used for fine details, and sometimes, scraping techniques are also applied to the painting.😃
This is so beautiful! thank you very much! :)
Thanks a lot Easy Drawings:)
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you !
My favorite flowers, you are amazing. What brand of watercolors do you use?
I usually used colors from Holbein
