Substitute 91: The 1968-1975 videotaped episodes were all erased or "wiped," daily, until 1976, by ABC. Two July 1969 episodes exist and no more until Kevin's birth in 1976.

What is really amazing is what your memory keeps, and also discards. I remember the hostage crisis because of Kim Zimmer playing Bonnie. I also remember Jenny and Dr. Jim being the hostages. But Joe?? That I do NOT remember. I remember that Dr. Jim needed medical attention. Did Joe take his place? I have a vague memory of Dr. Jim finally getting to the hospital.
the storyline from the LATE 70s I would LOVE to see are 1) Irene's arrival in Llanview to ask Viki to take her "god child" Tina in and then the Viki/Niki storyline when Niki ALMOST got Viki sent to prision because she pawned Marco's murder weapon
You're part right. ABC wiped masters but did kinescopes of every one from 68-70 for affiliates. About a dozen eps are @ the UCLA archives from the early 70's. And one of my subscribers has 3 eps from 71 and 2 from 73. So there are more than the 3 eps you said floating around.

@marcowuzmypimp Thank you for the FYI! That is not what an article in the NY Times said when I did my research for a college paper, but you are right. I just checked. There are several dozen, and how said it is that ABC cannot get its hands on them for re-broadcast!

May I ask, is this before or after Joe's car crash that he was presumed dead? Which, later after Viki was about the marry Steve Burke, she found out Joe was alive, right? Sorry, but can anyone tell me where i can find all those classic scene/episodes of Viki/Joe? I only like her with Clint and Joe :)
lost destroyed.I believe they are gone and that she married Steve Burke not knowing Joe was alive. But actually Joe may have returned but she still had feeling for Steve and married him. Wish the film existed

Joe wrecked & was presumed dead in 1970. My shows are all after in 1978. Joe died for real in 1979.
On the show. I disliked Asa Buchanan. And the whole clan really. The show changed after that and not for the better IMHO.
