Hi, wonderful video. It's now Ocboer 2022...do you know if all restrictions are lifted, like masks inside, etc? Thanks. Does ambar compare to Esmeralda or Aquqmarine?
Restrictions are lifted .. ambar is the top resort .. esmeralda is much older and in need of some tlc Aquamarine is lovely but ambar is the luxury level with service to match !
The resort looks beautiful, cant wait to visit!

We spent two weeks here on our honeymoon in December 2019 we was booked to go back this may the put back to next may but have had to cancel we love the Ambar

Stayed at the Luxury Ambar back in 2017 when it was called Ambar Blue.. AWESOME experience. 2018 and 2019 stayed at the Ambar Green which is now called the Aquamarine. All 3 times great. But in 2019 the Aquamarine was downgraded from luxury. Normally you had access to all of the 6 (or is it 7 ?? )resort properties except Fantasia. With Aquamarine in 2019, we only had access to 3. So in 2021 I will stay at the Luxury Ambar again ( previously the Ambar Blue). So we have more access. Great people, great experience. Only choice for me in Punta Cana is Bahia Principe!!

Thanks for sharing.....in the buffet area, are the chefs serving or is everyone touching the utensils/self serving..couldn’t tell if the food areas were all shielded ...how about a la carte? Was it available?...you overall thoughts on preventative measures on the resort please.
Thank you for watching the chefs and staff serve at the buffets and yes everything is blocked off with plexi.. ala cartes 5 available overall I think they do a good job with covid measures sanitizer at tge entrance of restaurants and staff wear masks

Monday-friday** lol
We were there from Saturday to Saturday no the club was not open on the weekend yes it is definitely more crowded and its very quiet from Monday until Friday
Hi, did you like the food at the buffet and restaurants? Can you compare with iberostar selection bavaro if you been there? Thanks!
The buffet food is well buffet food usually can always find something they do have different evenings at yhe buffet ue seafood night, Italian etc .. the ala cartes are very good Indian was the best we have stayed at iberostar in the past and I would say iberostar star does have better service as I find service hit and miss at Bahia.. example drinks never taste the same , and every order we made at an ala carte something was incorrect 😤 hope this helps !! Any other questions don't hesitate to ask !!

Ala cartes are included but I suggest emailing the resort about a week prior to arrival as space is limited
Nice......... when i was in DR i stayed at a resort called the catalonia bavaro in 2019 and the only bahia principe resort i have been to was the one in mexico the bahia principe akumal. It sure is worth the 8-9 hour flight from the UK to come to paradise like this.

Have been to the Ambar and the Bahia resort 5 times. Can't wait to get back as soon as my dumbass gov't does away with this totally unneeded 14 day self quarantine. Your video brings back amazing memories. Thanks!

Here in Québec, they stopped us from traveling down there last March.
My 2 week trip with my daughter for her 30th b.d was put on credit. Same with Air Canada, credit over 1 yr now.
I have time shares and can't even go 😓
We flew from toronto once in late Aug and then again in Oct no restrictions at the time for us and travel !

Yes there is a beach bar direct on beach they also have servers come around but you make waiting a long time !! It is included yes

Yes all inclusive.. everything is inclusive all.reg drink.they do have some beers that are not included

Yes there are many restaurants on the resort that are included Indian, Italian, steakhouse etc

Right now mamy restaurants run from Las brisas and it offers lunch and there is a bar so yes

They enforce mask wearing inside the restaurants to enter and at the buffet other than that no masks .. thank you for watching

They do have drinks for beer only presidente for free but they have corona bud blue etc to purchase the wings are really good there!! they have some decent liqour it was the only place I saw absolute vodka , they had tangery, whiskey and many other liqours they also of course had rum

Yes we did they have very good covid protocols
And how can I make.reservatiins for the restraunts ? Do they give you bottles watter or is it limited with the inclusive
Water bottles are given in the room daily 2 large bottles

Does it have shopping mall?
There is a shopping area which is closed right now where the casino etc is located .. there are a couple of stores open at both Fantasia and ambar.. there is a mall near the airport called Blue .. check out the 5 resorts closed video to seeshopping area at Bahia!!

No only to enter buffet area and initially to enter ala cartes

The beach was nice and clean seaweed depending on the day in the water but the beach itself was spotless here is a beach link

The beach 'Bavaro Beach' has been well groomed. If not at the start ofthe week down the beach with a bigger John dear or CAT with at least an 8' rake attached, have seen them on the beach at least one more time throughout the week.
The beach is pretty free from any sea weeds...until you hit far enough south down the beach towards the Bavaro Beach Market. There's a security guard, in clean official security detail, posted up in his 'office-post-area', observing the guests (non-locals) going past the resort line onto and into the Bavaro Market. Honestly, its kinda sketchy. Be wise, polite but if there isn't a lot of people there, do not spend too much time in one shop. Unless there is something you had in mind, look for it, negotiate and leave.
That was a lot and a short time bit on sea weed, cleaning the beaches etc. Just remember between your resort and that 'end' to your walk the one way at the Market, there is a noticeable and unavoidable area of two down the stretch with loads of ungroomed sea weed. If I wanted to run the beach in my Salamon light trail runners I'd have do issues at all and chew straight through it...just me.

In front of the Ambar Blue ( now called luxury) beach was bad in June 2017 and 18 with seaweed. Workers all day, they could not keep up.. In June 2019, it was beautiful and clear.But walk towards thhe Hardrock, at the Riu right before that is amazing always. About a mile beach walk.

yes they give you towels and also have a towel exchange we asked for 4 towels normally

Unfortunately it was not open either time we have been there so early September and mid October 😕

@@Moraud5386 it is somewhere you can definitely go on your own , there are many activities where you can socialize and meet people ie . Rum tasting or cigar rolling !! Right now basically everything is closed

When you mention about noise and the place you were walking through would be good for people that didn't mind noise, I don't know what you were referring to. Was it the loud music? That IS annoying. It makes the video unpleasant even. Is it loud to give it a 'busier' appearance? Seems like there was hardly anyone around. I would like the peace and quiet over loud music everywhere. I'm getting a migraine already at 14 minutes in.
The music is loud yes I think it is too give the appearance they are busier than it is .. also poolside when they use the mics .. but if you move off of the main walk from lobby to beach I am told it is much quieter . . Perhaps worth moving I suffer from migraines also so I completely understand
