What is an Ultra Cruise? | @Carnival Players Club | Free Stateroom, Gifts, Games, Drinks, Fun Play

Casino gaming isn't for everyone -- but for those of us who occasionally hit the slots or the tables on cruises, it is nice to be recognized by the cruise line occasionally for different play levels.
Simply stating it -- casino comps are awesome and I love them. A lot.
Most cruise lines have player's clubs -- much like the land based casinos -- who arrange special comps for returning players. While some ship line clubs have specific levels and point goals to reach, I haven't been able to untangle the mystery of the Carnival system. Regardless, I was happy to receive an Ultra Cruise comp offer and I was able to book it on the Carnival Celebration, for a seven day Caribbean Cruise out of Fort Lauderdale.
While I'm not a "high roller," I have been to casinos on several Carnival ships in a short amount of time. I always take advantage of any travel points systems -- like air miles or hotel loyalty points -- and for me, the Carnival Player's Club is no different.
I had a great time, and it was amazing to finally experience the Ultra Cruise. I'd heard so much about them, and the staff on the Celebration did not disappoint.
What would I change? The only thing I'd do different again would be to book my Ultra cruise when the ship wasn't so crowded and busy to maybe increase my odds a little. The Celebration was at capacity, it was the middle of spring break, and there were (guessing) a couple of hundred people in our Ultra group.
