- Today I am returning to Crooked Lake to Fish the Slay Nation Central Florida Kayak Trail. I am excited to fish this event because this is where I first began tournament kayak bass fishing. Last time I was here I ran into winning fish, I just couldn’t get them into the boat! So let’s see if we can find some winning fish today! I had to make some adjustments today due to some unforeseen circumstances… so we are going to have to fish instinctively and see where the chips fall! Thanks as always for watching! Let me know if you have any questions!

Appreciate y’all!
Only 1 hr got to make something happen 😂 my boy said time to go fishing :) go Seth
Haha thanks Charles! Those fish definitely helped!
Seth I am transitioning to fresh from salt. What is the scent you are putting on your baits?
Hey Amy! Yeah that’s a huge transition… enjoy the learning process that will be a fun journey! I use KVD fishsticks. It’s a great tool for any soft plastics. It sticks onto the bait well and isn’t messy! Here’s a direct link to what I use. Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have any other questions. I am happy to help!

Awesome videos as always! I don’t comment on videos very often but I feel like I need to on yours because I want more people to see your content! Also I have a question for you if you read this about your reel for punching I ran into an instance where mine didn’t have a strong enough drag I almost couldn’t pull the fish out of heavy cover out here in the California delta my reel only has 20lb drag I was curious what that shimano is rated on drag? I have a few curado dc and I love them
Thank you so much for commenting and liking my videos Brandon! It helps me out with the algorithm so much.
And I read and respond to all comments, so if you ever have a question just ask.
To be honest I had the same issues initially with my Shimano Curado K. It only has a 11lb max drag… I figured out though if I just crank down the drag all the way it just doesn’t slip anymore… so if you feel like there’s any wiggle room in your drag just tighten it all the way. I thought I did initially… then it slipped and I lost a few fish. So I had to learn the hard way too.
That’s cool you are fishing the delta! I of course watch Greg’s videos and that looks like an awesome place! I know there are a ton of kayakers in your area. If they ever are curious on what’s going on in Florida make sure they know about the channel!
Thanks for the support Brandon! I hope this helps!
@@SethVenableFishing Thank you for the info and the response! And yes I love watching Greg as well! California delta and California fishing is great and your right kayaking fishing a very popular out here! I will be sure to mention your channel along with Greg’s to anyone that I know that wants to learn more!
Nice video on one of my favorite lakes. I noticed you were using a Calico Jacks spinning rod, I have 4 of those in the 7' mh and for the money I don't think you can buy a better rod. New subscriber
It’s an awesome lake! It was fun flippin’ like that!
I couldn’t agree more… those calico jacks are some great all around rods!
Thanks for subscribing and commenting David! I always respond to comments… so let me know if you ever have any questions. Stay safe!
Great job and day out there
Find
Deeper water 💦 or near by. You will bigger 🐟🐟🐟🐟😎
Thanks David! It was a fun yet challenging day…
Yeah I was looking for deeper water… the other location I was wanting to fish had just that! Out where I was 8ft was about the deepest it got. And the grass I was flipping was 4-6ft. So I guess I was fishing “deep” haha!
Appreciate you watching and commenting! It helps out a lot! Let me know if you ever have any questions!
