Spiritomb absolutely refused to shine for me in my 200 hours of Legends Arceus.
I used the masuda method to get one in Pokemon Violet and I got it on the very first egg.
The shiny Gods are fickle.
They are indeed many outbreaks of Hisuian Zorua and nothing started doing it with eggs in Violet a while ago and it still took hundreds of eggs

Regardless of how coveted the little scorpion is, shint spiritomb is PEAK, only other gen IV shiny you could argue is better ia giratina. For that reason I'm currently masuda hunting it in diamond.

It took you a long time to find a shiny Skorupi? When I did my first restart of Pokémon Legends Arceus, the only Skorupi I got that run was a full odds shiny one. I guess luck just works differently for people. Especially since that game caused shiny Starly to be the most common shiny Pokémon for me. In that game alone, through many different saves, I have caught enough shiny Starly to make 3 or 4 shiny Staraptor only teams. And I wasn't even hunting them.
I failed a shiny in Arceus, and i dont even know what shiny it was. It made the noise but could never find the pokemon.
