So - this begins the 10 year saga, going into your early and mid-40s - of still being at home with mum and complaining about her, complaining about your home, complaining about the women in the UK, the food in the UK, the subways and transportation, whinging about paying for your TV license, your job, foreigners throwing acid at you, and the next lunar eclipse?...

Also your Japanese hairdryer got red and shut off because European and Brotish power grids use 220 Volt while Japanese ones are on 110 Volts so the thing got way overpowered. to use something like a Japanese hairdryer you need a voltage converter but it’s not the adapters fault.
You need a step down converter to convert from 220 to 110. For the laptop power adapter you probably could've just replaced the power cord since most adapters accept 110-240.

I have to concur about China Airline. Took it 3 times, regretted it 2 of the times, and swore to never take any airlines from China ever again for similar reasons. The staff are crazy rude in China most so than what people feel about America's TSA. Food is not good. The two times I regretted, there were huge delays in which I missed my transfer flight. The very last time, it was so bad that I was accommodated 2 free nights in 2 different hotels. The was in America, and it was fine, but the second one in China (because the first delay made me miss my transfer flight) was the worst hotel room I've ever experienced. First, they didn't give us our own room and had us stay with a random person ( thank goodness, my roommate was cool), then the room was dirty with a bed less comfortable than the floor, and also the food was bad. The roommate and I were so done with this place and left at 5 a.m., which were probably 4 or 5 hours before our transfer flight took off. After that, never again!
