Sherry - I have never noticed that you sound like a robot during voice overs. You have always seemed articulate and interesting to me. It did not surprise me that you were an English teacher. English was always my favorite subject in school. I bet your students loved you as you are charming, warm, and give excellent instruction for the projects you share with us. Thank you for the hard work you do to produce this channel for us....What a pleasure it is!

Don’t change your voiceover style! What some call “mechanical” I call “precise”-it’s a key part of the “Sherry experience” for me. Thanks for sharing your ideas, and for your candor.

Hello from Southeast, Missouri. I hate that you feel so alone. Just remember, all of us look so forward to watching your videos. Your channel is my favorite. I never realized that having a TH-cam channel was so time consuming. I have thought about starting a sewing channel but now I think not. Thank you for taking all of the time to share creative ideas. I made the little 6 cup Christmas muffin tin and hung it above my counter and I got so many compliments. It's just precious. You're so very inspiring.

Your honor to our language with clear, concise enunciation along with an understandable cadence is what I like best about watching you. Of course, that goes without saying that your thrifting and repurposing speak directly to me. As a fellow retired teacher raised by a depression era mother, I believe we have much to offer to the materialism of today. Your reference to our early years as beginning teachers refreshed memories of the “lean years”. My late husband and I were beginning teachers in 1972….lean, indeed! He was able to enjoy a short 7 good years of fulfilling retirement before a surprise encounter with ALS and a far too soon death at age 60. Thank you for your delightful conversation today. I look forward to your weekly 2022 videos.

I really appreciate your slow rhythmic voice, Its clear, calming and helps me keep up so I don't have to rewind or pause to often. I don't think you sound robotic at all. As a retired Art teacher myself I think you have a perfect teaching voice and you are joyful and enthusiastic and honest about what you are doing! All the editing you do is so appreciated and I also appreciate that you don't go on and on before getting to the point as so many others do, which is annoying and wasteful of my time. Thank You For Your Work, I look forward to my inspirational treat every Tuesday!

I love your utube channel. You are the main utube channel that has inspired me enough to do something on my own in the way of furniture. You project with the lovely blue hutch has been an inspiration to me. I have already looked at BEHR paints for 2022. I have not yet come to a conclusion on which two colors to use. You are so gifted! Dear Sherry, first of all: thank you!!! It is such a pleasure to learn with you through your videos =) About the "robot" thing, well... it is impossible to make everybody happy. But let me tell you my experience as non-native English speaking person: your way of talking is A BLESSING for me. Lots of people struggle while learning a language (not all of us want subtitles) and how clear you are is something to celebrate! We speak three languages at home every single day and not to identify a word or sentence can be very frustrating. I wish I would speak any language with the clarity you do. So not only I learn about your creative process but I also learn with every word that thanks to your teacher skills I am able to identify. Thank you again, Sherry! And a good thought for your husband for being so supportive. Love, Anahí.

I got hooked on You Tube videos after my 2nd hip replacement this past summer. Most of them I've lost interest in and become bored by but yours remains the exception!! I'm enchanted by your old fashioned ideas and the cozy feel of your home. Most of all I respect you highly for doing creative videos but remaining private with your family. I wonder how all these You Tubers kids will feel growing up in the public eye with barely any privacy. Once a week is a great treat! Just enough to spur us on and allow both you and your viewers time to have a life away from the screen. Bless you as you continue to teach us to be creative...on a budget!! See you next Tuesday!! Hugs from Phoenix!!

You DO NOT sound like a robot, don't automatically assume a complainant is right & you're at fault. You've made the effort to slow down & speak clearly, so your instructions can be understood by the WHOLE world & I thank you. A great many American TH-camrs would do well to learn from your example of clarity. Instead many give no thought to diction or enunciation; slurring words, drawling accents, abbreviating, using colloquialisms & assuming (or not caring if) a world-wide audience understands them. Your effort is appreciated.

I have watched all your flogs and have been amazed at how much product you can get done in one week. As a homeowner and wife I know there are so many other things to be done, laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking to name just a few so I appreciate what it takes to get your flog ready.
I had to laugh at your first tool being a jigsaw because when my husband asked me many years ago what I’d like for Christmas and I told him…. A jigsaw!!! So like you it was my first tool. Since then I’ve added a drill press, miter saw, scroll saw, circular saw to name a few.
I m always excited to see what you are going to up with next, you are so inspiring.

Sherry, I also have never thought you sounded like a robot, rather when I learned you had been a teacher it all made sense, I have several friends who have a teacher voice and I think that is what you may be using. Perhaps as you get more comfortable it will change but it does not need to. I also appreciate your clear, concise instructions, your creativity and positivity! While I appreciate the creativity of other creators on TH-cam, it drives me crazy when some say Modge Podge instead of Mod Podge or use words that are not in the dictionary. Don't change a thing and believe me your projects are so good they are worth waiting for.

I learned so much about what effort it takes to be a TH-camr and provide us with such inspiration and I was shocked at how much time it takes, I don't see how you get time to do any of your homemaking chores done with so little time. That makes me appreciate all you do even more because I had no idea and please don't be hard on yourself about your voiceovers, I am so concentrated on what you are doing that I had never even noticed. I am so glad you make friends with Teresa and Julie (I watch and love those two as well) because I can imagine how lonely it could get having nobody to ask questions of someone experienced when you need answers. I teared up when you honored your husband, who sounds super supportive, and I just wanted to reach through the computer and hug you! Thank you for letting us learn about you because honestly the ones I watch I tend to think of friends and now I know you better and love you more. The snow is so beautiful so thanks for that shot, we get very little where I live. Happy New Year and I hope your channel just continues to grow and grow.

Thanks for answering questions and explaining just how darn hard you work! Bravo to you for your hard work! It shows by number of new YT friends you have made and how quickly you got them! Your truly a beautiful, sweet and gracious YT friend! What a joy it is for me knowing that when I get up Tuesday morning I have another amazing video to watch, enjoy and drink my first cup of coffee with! Thank you Sherry for becoming a TH-camr! Looking forward to seeing your next video! ❤️

The comment about a Robotic voice shouldn’t be taken too much to heart. Your voice is clear & easy to follow. Without your pauses, your presentation would be rushed & not as easy to understand.. I watch your channel because it’s so well done. Often craft TH-camrs are not prepared, not clear or too hyper. I bet you were a good teacher as you obviously care about a job well done!

I cannot stress this enough, please do not change the way your voice sounds in your videos. I absolutely adore the way you sound and often listen while I'm doing things and can't even watch what you are doing. Your style of speaking during your tutorials is almost asmr because it is so pleasant and comforting to my brain and I'm sure I am not the only one. I don't understand why anyone would criticize unless they are just complainers by nature. Keep doing what you do, the vast majority of us love it!

I was first attracted to your videos when I saw this woman who looked like me! (Same hair, similar glasses, close to the same age.) I love to craft and your projects always inspire me. I really think you have gotten much more comfortable on camera and smoother with your delivery as you have gained experience. I always look forward to your videos and I loved getting to know you better in this Q&A!

Sherry, I love watching your videos each week and I’m amazed at the breadth of your imagination and skills. I too am a (newly) retired teacher of 38 years! Crafting and creating with our hands was something that was part of our classroom activities and inspiration came from literature, music, history and even math. Watching you up cycle, repurpose, and reimagine items is time well spent. Love your style and your creative process. You are beautiful in every way. ❤️

I really enjoy this. I did not realize how much time it took to do a you tube channel until I was on a trip with granddaughter and see all she had to do. She has been doing one video a day.

Sherry, I enjoyed your Q&A so very much! It just makes me love your channel even more!! I wait with great anticipation for your new video each week and I now have an even greater appreciation for all the hard work that goes into this! You are such a blessing to so many of us. It hurts my heart to think anyone would say anything negative like "you sound like a robot". I think that the way that you narrate your videos is very soothing and easy to listen to and follow. Some TH-camrs could learn some lessons from you, in fact! I wish I lived closer and could visit your store. I love your style and you have inspired me to do so many new things. I have a booth in a vintage/antique mall. I do ok, but I have found that it is really not the place for crafted items so perhaps I need to look into other opportunities. Thank you again for all your hard work. If you need a vacation, don't feel bad, we want you to take care of yourself! Much love, Jenny from Oklahoma

Sherry, I absolutely love your channel and I always look forward to Tuesday mornings! This past year has been the most difficult of my life, as I’ve been going through a messy divorce. No matter what I’m dealing with at the time, your videos ALWAYS put a smile on my face! Sometimes I’ll watch the same video multiple times a week, until the new one comes out the following Tuesday. Your such a wonderful person, and I just love how sweet and genuine you are! You are a “one of a kind” and I’m so thankful to have come across your channel. Thank you for your wonderful videos!! 🤗😘

Sherry, I think you are wonderful. Your voice overs are so clearly spoken and I feel you project lots of your personality: sincerity, warmth, positivity and grace. It is a highlight of my week watching your video and I have watched many more than once. I've even thrifted a painted terracotta urn I am going to makeover inspired by your creativity. Your Q&A session was so interesting. Thank you for your time so freely given for my enjoyment. Happy New Year!🥳

I am soooooo happy that I found your YT channel. During the past two years, I have tried to stay away from unnecessary shopping trips. This meant staying away from the thrift stores. You (and others like you) give me my "fix" for the week - without which I would probably go nuts. I feel like you are talking directly to me most of the time. Thank you for putting up with YT and making these videos for all of us who love them!

Sherry, this was sooooo enjoyable. I feel like we just had a cozy chat in your living room. Please don’t change anything about your delivery. It’s probably part of your success. You speak slowly and carefully and you enunciate! A rare thing today. Most TH-camrs, as well as actors and actresses, speak so fast it’s frantic. Sometimes I just have to turn them off. Your peaceful , relaxing delivery is part of your charm. Have I (and other commenters) convinced you NOT to change? And did you notice I didn’t split that infinitive, lol!)

Hi, Sherry. Thank you so much for this Q and A video. It's so nice to get to know you better. I really appreciate how your voiceovers are so clear and precise and not hurried. Must be the school teacher in you! I think I have always had a creative bent - particularly in the decorative arts - which I have nurtured over the years through various classes and experiences. Although I learned how to use a sewing machine (and to follow a pattern!) when in grade school, I stopped short of the power tools. Looking forward to more of your wonderful videos in 2022, and sending best wishes for a happy and healthy new year to you and your family. Barbara from RI.

Sherry! How sweet! Thank you for all those explanations. I'm always happy to watch your productions and am so proud of you for learning the process of video making. My tech skills are minimal and frustration overwhelms me just thinking about learning that skill. Maybe we're the same age? I was a dental hygienist for 33 years. I've never met a computer or tech device , like a computerized sewing machine, that has been friendly to me. 😄 🤣
    So I applaud your success!
You are truly genuine and natural. It shows in your personality and your creations. Beautiful!
Looking forward to next Tuesday! 😀

Thank you for doing this Q and A! Seeing you in a relaxed, conversational environment was great. I think the quality of your work is exceptional. You offer such "meaty" videos, I completely understand why you make one per week. I'd rather see one a week chock full of fantastic projects, than one a day that's pretty good.
Thank you for sharing your genius and spending the time producing videos. ♥️🙂 Happy New Year!!!

I smiled last week when Julie mentioned you and Teresa, I know you three will remain friends for years to come. I do not know why some think you sound like a robot?? I am glad to get to watch one of your well-made video's once a week, rather than two or three hastily put together just to have multiples each week!!! I can't wait to see what talent you will share in the new year!!

I would much rather watch one video a week that is well done with creative, unique crafts and projects than several hasty and poorly done videos. I just started watching TH-cam videos this year and I have become more and more selective about who and what I watch. The time, effort and quality of your videos puts you at the very top of my list. Please don’t change a single thing!
