@@javimarx1 the washable covers are a huge plus to me since we’re the hosting house. If you don’t mind fluffing and steaming every once in a while then you’ll love it! We have them fluffed weekly and it always looks great!

Thank you for this quick to the point review! I was highly considering this sectional but the low height will be an issue for my family we aren’t short and also don’t want to feel we are sitting on the floor. I hope down the road they consider higher legs to give more height to this sectional. Overall it’s beautiful and will keep my eye out on it.
Hi Abigail! Thanks for the kind comment. We definitely noticed it at first but we love the height now because our son can easily get on and off. I did receive a lot of comments of people switching the legs and making it taller, so that’s definitely an option for you if this is the sectional you really want.

Thank you so much! so glad you enjoyed our review. So sorry to hear about your dog - we lost a dog a couple of years ago and it was extremely difficult for us as well. We still miss him a lot but now we have Phoebe (our schnauzer rescue) and she’s also full of love for us.

Thank you for an honest review. I ordered this sofa on October 1, 2022, I have been trying to contact them for status on delivery, but have not been successful . I wished I had done more research and perhaps order it from a more reliable company.

Hi there! So glad the video was helpful. It’s been almost 2 months now and it still looks amazing! We do have to fluff the cushions very often but they fluff right back to what they looked like brand new! Still very happy with our purchase 👍🏼
Can you do an update of this sofa please, If it's still looking the same after months of used after washing etc.

Thank you! We actually thought of the exact same thing and maybe doing that some day. The legs are all made from wood and just painted silver so we figured we can just add bigger pieces for the couch to sit taller. I just got my feathers sofa two weeks ago an love it, but it’s not quite as soft as I would have liked but I’m comparing it to my grandma’s down sofa and her cushions were pure down filled. It is a great sleeping couch. It gives great back support: But I’m only 5’3”
How long did you wait to receive it?

This video is so helpful! I really want to purchase this couch, but I’m pretty tall (6ft 2). The back cushion looks pretty short and seems like it won’t offer much back support. What are your thoughts about that and what is the height of the back cushion? Thanks in advance!
Hi Daniel! I'm so sorry for the delayed response. I do think the back is low, but not to make it an issue with your back. We are pretty tall in my family (I'm 6ft and have brothers 6'2' as well) and none of us have had issues with it. However, we've had other issues not related to that that I will be posting a video about. Hope that helps!
This is a great review. We have been looking at this sofa for a while. I like the pros and cons you mention. Only thing I have a question about is whether the seat depth is problematic for you. The Valyou website states it is only 20 inches deep (23 inches counting the back cushion). That seems really narrow. Has this impacted your comfort level? Thanks again for great video.
Hi Cindy! Thanks for the kind comment. We did have to get used to the depth because our previous couch was really deep. While the difference was really noticeable at first, we all already got so used it and we never think about it anymore. I wouldn’t let that stop you from buying it if that’s your concern. We do sit on the corner sectional a lot when we want that deep couch feeling, but we usually sit on the other sits when we just talk or watch tv for a little bit. Hope that helps!
@@MindfulHome I do want to pursue this a bit farther, When I look at the dimensions on the website the sofa says it is 40" deep on the image, but that the seats are 23"deep. Where are the other 17 inches? Thanks for clarification

Hi Bethany! Thanks - so glad you found it helpful. I would say it’s definitely not super firm. At first it feels a little hollow, but the more you fluff the cushions and sit on it, the more pillowy it gets. It’s mostly feathers inside, so you won’t get the firm feeling of a cushion filled with only foam. Hope that helps!

I don’t think I would buy it. I have feather throw pillows and feathers come out here and there. Sometime it poke too. Definitely will not buy a feather couch either it is so beautiful.🤩🥺
Hi Lily! You are 100% correct. Feathers do get everywhere and poke out constantly but it’s is a beautiful big couch that fits our whole family so it works for us :) thanks for watching!

Thank you for the video! I asked the rep this question and they couldn't answer it for me. The back and side frame support for the sofa is it rough linen and upholstery? I absolutely love this sofa but I have cats and if they go and scratch it I will lose my mind. If it's rough they will definitely scratch but if it's smooth like microfiber they typically don't like to. The agent told me it was a combination of 3 materials so just wanted to check.
I'm curious about this too. I want a nice couch but our cat is a 😈
Hi! sorry for the late reply. I would say it is a little more smooth like microfiber, so you should be good maybe? I don't have cats though, so I can't tell you from experience but I hope this helps!
I hope this isn’t too late but DO NOT buy this if you have cats. My cat did not scratch up the leather couch we had but when I bought this she loved it. She didn’t purposely scratch but when jumping up or walking across sometimes her claw would come out and nick the couch. Now we have material ripping off everywhere 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ trimming her nails only helps for a few days. This is not a couch for people with cats. I’m crying because it was beautiful for about a month and now looks horrible.

Thank you for the review! I am seriously consider buying it (in the grey color though since I am a clutz) but I have one question, I hear people say after a couple of months’ use, it sank because of the filling material. Is it true? Or will fluffing solve this issue?
Hello! Yes, there are some issues we’ve encountered after a few months of owning the couch like the fabric getting damaged when washed and the seats sinking and loosing the comfort. It still looks great in the room when you fluff it, though. Just a little bummed that it’s not holding up great after only a few months since it’s quite expensive.

Hi! The living room rug is from RugsUSA - it’s the Natural Handwoven Chaste Area Rug size 10x14. It’s a really nice looking rug and easy to vacuum but stains are very difficult/impossible to remove. Thanks for the kind comment!

how tall are the seat cushions from the ground?
When assembling there’s a few Velcro strips. Should I remove them or keep?
Hi! Are you referring to the Velcro that keeps the seat cushions attached to the base? We didn’t really take any of that apart and it was just fine. I didn’t see any more Velcro than that though. It’s just meant to keep the cushions from sliding. Hope that helps!

How tall are the couple in the video? To get an idea of what you mean by "the couch sits low" and how it could present an issue for those with back problems, or older ppl

Is the sofa still holding up? And did you face any spam when purchasing??
Hi! Yes it is. We just washed the entire sofa for the first time and when we placed the covers back on it really looked brand new. Still very comfortable and we love the look. Some cons are that a couple of the seat covers are getting some weird bumps for some reason and feathers from this couch get everywhere! Hope that helps.
Can the back and side fabric be unzipped and washed as well? Or just removable cushion covers? The site and one other review made it seem like the ENTIRE sofa had removal fabric ?
I don't have this couch but I was at their store the other day and the sales person said that all the material that you see cam be removed

Hi! Yes - all the fabric covers come off and can be washed! Sorry for the late reply.
Since the legs are screw on - you can change them out to give the sectional some height!

@@MindfulHome I’m awaiting mine, but was hesitant because of how low it was to the ground. The sales person was extremely helpful and showed me how they easily screw off and some photos sent to him by several clients who changed out the legs. One client raised it 6 inches with legs she purchased at Home Depot. It looked really chic.

@@SweetFaceHawaii i did email them to receive the photos you were mentioning and they said they didn’t have them. Maybe I got a different rep that didn’t know about it. Would love to see them if you still have them (hellomindfulhome@gmail.com). They did told me that there is a piece of solid wood on the bottom so I could even drill new holes to fit any legs I liked 👍🏼

Can you unscrew the legs and exchange them for taller ones?
Hi Olivia! Yes you can. There are two screws per leg so it’s pretty easy to remove them. There is also a solid piece of wood where the legs are, so you can even drill more wholes to fit your new legs. Hope that helps!
How frequently does the sofa shed feathers that get all over?
Hi Lauren! It's hard to say because for the first few days they weren't coming out at all, but after the first couple of weeks we were seeing them everywhere. It's especially bad if you take the covers off to wash them. You will have feather go ALL over the place. We've had it for a few months now so we don't see them anymore while sitting, only when we clean the covers. Hope that helps!
Did they offer a full refund of your money back minus the restocking fee at the time you ordered this couch if you were not happy?
Hey! I can't remember anymore, but it was around a 30 day trial and you had to package everything exactly how it came in the same boxes. There was a pretty high restocking fee to return too.
Can you get a cover inside the cover, so the feathers do not pop out?
Hmmm you might be able to, but I don’t think they sell that. The feathers do poke out through the cover regardless though, but that’d be really helpful for when you wash the covers so the feathers don’t get everywhere.
It really sucks I'm allergic to feathers. I love this couch so much, but I can't get it. I'd be selling it after a month.
Such a bummer! The same thing happened to me but with the article leather sofa. I ended up being allergic to the leather and after a few months we had to sell it. This is definitely a beautiful sectional but not worth the allergies! Lots of feather stick out constantly too
Why aren't there recent reviews and why is the shipping so expensive and why is there negative reviews listed on the better business site. A few people said they received used items. That scares me. And the return policy is extremely expensive.

Does it separate when you sit on it for a long time? As in the cushions?

I’ve had my leather couch going on 11 years now and was looking to replace with this but changed my mind. The thoughts of having to wash the fabric and fluff the cushion is just too much. Just get me a white leather couch.
Hi! Yeah, it's definitely a lot of work to keep it looking nice. I did have a leather couch before this one and I feel like it was way more work conditioning the leather though.
Warning, it does NOT take a month to arrive. I'm on month-4 and waiting. Not to mention, the warehouse is in the same State and excuses are lame, at best. Go to BBB reviews to see HOW MANY of us are in the same boat.

Great review but things have changed since it was posted. I bought my Feathers sofa in november 2021 and each month Valyou tell me they'll contact me the next month to tell me where they are with the shipping. Their communication is clear as mud, borderline dishonest, they say they can't share any detail regarding shipping, not even if they secured a container on a boat, so maybe it'll be shipped it in 6 months, I have no idea
Hi Anthony! It seems like this has been happening more often. Did you ever receive your couch? Sorry to hear that - I would be really annoyed too, considering the main reason we purchased from them was because of their fast shipping.
How was shipping for you? I ordered like 3 months ago almost 4 and it’s still hasn’t shipped yet, I’m getting so impatient😭😭 hopefully it will be worth the wait.
Almost 6 months here and I just canceled my order as it is still unfulfilled - just as my living room is without a couch.

how is it holding up right now?
It still looks amazing! We’ve washed the entire sectional and every time we put everything back together it looks nice and firm like it did when it was brand new. Just note that a couple of the covers are getting some fabric bumps for some reason and feather can’t get everywhere. Still very happy with our purchase though.
What color is this beige or sand thx in advance
Hi Angel, I would say a little more white sand than brown beige. I don't add any filters to my videos, so the color you see is exactly what it looks like in person. Hope that helps!

I do not recommend the Feathers sectional AT ALL. The seats are very low and uncomfortable. No one in my family wanted to sit on that couch. I purchased two separate sets of legs to replace the original ones, in an attempt to make the couch usable. The problem is that the frame construction is so poor and the wood is so flimsy that neither of the leg sets worked because the frame crumbles when we try to attach the legs. Last Tuesday I pushed the sectional to the curb, for garbage collection. My suggestion: if you still can, cancel your order, get your money back and buy something of better quality.

If you have children that stand, walk or jump- STAY AWAY. It’s been 1 year with mine. And fluffing my couch now takes me out! Feathers come out often. And the constant fluffing is the absolute worst- and makes me despise my gorgeous couch- worst mistake I’ve ever made(edit: in furniture purchases lol) I’m now having the bottom cushions replaced with memory foam. My husband loves to tell me “I told you we shouldn’t have gotten it”. I’ve never had to work so hard to make my couch look pretty.
It is DEFINITELY a lot of work to keep it looking nice. We are also pretty frustrated with the quality and how poorly it is holding up. I will make an update video soon. Did you have any issues with the fabric wrinkling after washing?
@@MindfulHome I have one of those little hand held steamers from Amazon and have taken that to it- it helps. I really think you should do an update- these couches are pretty expensive in my opinion and soo many ppl want them.

This company is the worst go to the BBB and read reviews before you order. You won't get the sofa. Don't make our mistake.
Valyou Furniture is withholding more than $1,700 from me that for weeks now it promised to return after purchasing a Feathers Sectional. Do not do business with this company.
This company valyoufurniture couldn't be able to
deliver all my orders, my order placed
on Nov 2021 (I received a part of my
order july 2022). And they lied alot
and waste my time so l won't be able
to dispute because Chase just give
you 4 months to dispute and now they
want me to accept credit store, l don't
vant. And it is not just me, Please check their real reviews.
After more than one year that they have kept my money send an email that they don't know when can refund my money.
Do not trust them ,
