China is a religiously tolerant country. Muslims have massacred Chinese many times in history, but the Chinese did not submit to Islam. Nevertheless, the Chinese put aside their hatred and allowed various religions, including Islam, to develop peacefully. Tibet is a pure land. There is no extreme religion there

As ur friend mentioned it look similar to Ladakh, So back around 500BC - 625 AD during ZhangZhung Kingdom that include Ladakh and some part of Himachal (Spiti, Lahaul) and whole Tibet, at the time Tibetan practice Bön religion also known as Prebuddhist. The prayer flag (Blue,White,Red,Green & Yellow) and many Tibetan buddhism practices was taken from Bön. Likewise we have our own Bön monastery here in Shimla,India. Till date Tibetan buddhism has strong influence in the HImalayan region. Waiting for your Tibet Vlog series. Thank You , Sas Riya Kal Ji.

The McMahon Line was first drafted in 1913, and the treaty to ratify them (Simla Accords) was never signed by the Republic Of China(ROC) who had just overthrown the Qing dynasty. There was no such thing as the McMahon Line in 1890, and China isn't disputing where the Line was drawn, she's disputing the validity of the Line in its entirety. The primary Indian claim is that the ROC did sign the Simla Accords because a British official called Olaf Caroe fabricated a narrative in 1938 where the ROC signed the Simla Accords (they didn't) and ceded parts of Tibet to the Raj.
In 1963 a British diplomat compared a pre-1938 treaties compendium with the post-Caroe compendium and found that Caroe had changed the note on the ROC's not signing the Simla Accords into one where the ROC signed it and considers the Indo-Tibetan border finalised. Nehru picked up a copy of Caroe's fabricated compendium so he got the impression that his country was legally entitled to more than she actually was. Compounding this was the US' decision to add fuel to the flames by declaring the McMahon Line as the legitimate boundary in an attempt to contain the spread of communism, despite reservations from the US State Department and protests from the fiercely non-communist Chiang Kai-Shek, leader of the ROC.
However, we all know Nehru irreversibly altered his country's relations with China in 1962, so by 1963, when the fabrication was discovered, it was already too late to stem the tide of Indian nationalism based on the false compendium entry. And that leaves us with the situation today, in the aftermath of a British attempt to de jure carve out a piece of Chinese territory which failed but had some success de facto, then a British fabrication of her failed attempt to carve out Chinese territory, then an Indian acceptance of the British fabrication alongside American endorsement, and a Chinese refusal to accept the fabrication as anything remotely legal.
Some Indians recognise that they don't actually have a legal claim to South Tibet, so they've begun using a different claim in that the people living in South Tibet want to be part of India more than China; in essence, a claim based on the principle of self-determination. This is India's secondary claim. However, as history has shown time and time again (Catalonia, Confederate States, Taiwan, Corsica, Chechnya, Tibet, Naxalites), without the permission of the larger body, a smaller section of the population will not be allowed to separate from its original country regardless of what they want.
A much more detailed account of the McMahon Line and its history is available here, written by Peter Lee who, contrary to impressions given by his surname, is not at all Chinese.

A much more detailed account of the McMahon Line and its history is available here, written by Peter Lee who, contrary to impressions given by his surname, is not at all Chinese.

we totally disagree with your information. Tibet was never managed by China or ruled by it for at least past 3 to 400 years.
Tibet was an independent country and it was ruled by the dalai Lama the native Tibetan leader who had their independent language culture, religion and laws . Communist China with its imperialistic policy and military strength. Attacked tibet and defeated it small army then it also attacked in 1962 India and there was a big fight where more than 5000 Indian officers and Soldiers were killed it.
During this war. India was defeated and it lost huge land measuring more than 35,000 km² in Aksai chain, and in Arunachal Pradesh.
China has the ability to falsely create old records of showing the land and sea roots under its control. If any agreements are signed for border settlement, it refuses to recognise those agreements which are more than hundred 150 year-old .
In order to have Maritime boundaries falsely. It has created artificial islands in South China Sea and created basis to have control on sea wealth of possible, petrol, gas and other commodities under sea under its jurisdiction.
What bigger fraud can be played by a nation by mysteriously creating old records or using technology to create artificial islands to create jurisdiction on sea roads .
China is one country which has disputes with all its neighbour except Pakistan which has seated oxide chain and some area of Jammu Kashmir under its control to China .
China has borderline or Maritime disputes with Russia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.
China is friend of nobody. It only plays selfish game and it stabs the friends and is not helpful unless they surrender completely.

It warms my heart to see how much they have achieved in Tibet in a mere span of 2 generations. Tibet in the 50's is the Middle Ages, a feudal society. They are on the brink of extinction because too many men become monks they numbered only 1 million. Now there are 8 million Tibetans spread over TAR, Sichuan, Qinghai, and Yunnan. They build infrastructure, roads, electricity, and housing but most important of all is education with 15 years of compulsory education with free room and board. Thanks for showing it for the world to see. See how green is Lhasa it was a barren moon-like landscape before. They even manage to grow vegetables and fruits now. Tibetan population originally had 6 million spread out in areas of U-tsang, Kham, and Amdo which would be the10th largest nation with 2.5 million square kilometers of land, not what the Chinese government designated the "Tibet Autonomous Region." Tibet during the 20th century had a clergy controlled government and remained isolationist. Saying Tibet was solely slave based society is a form of revisionist history that many colonial powers use to justify illegal take over of population like the West had been committing. The 13th Dalai Lama during the 20th century outlawed capital punishment before numerous "modern" nations. Tibetan people inside Tibet today has been escaping and telling their horror stories of religious crackdown, cruel and unusual punishment. Infrastructure and material development does not grant the CCP(china communist party) authority to take over a sovereign nation, if that were the case, the British turned Hong Kong into an economical hub from being a remote fishing village, but the CCP protested that it did not matter. Chinese professor Hon Shiang-Lau corroborates with sources approved in China that imperial China never had Tibet to be its parts.

Chinese government before brutally taking over Tibet talked about Tibetans being the master of their own lands. Today, the Lhasa market places you see are owned 80% by Han Chinese. Tibetan graduates of high school and university cannot find work despite meeting qualifications.
A much more detailed account of the McMahon Line and its history is available here, written by Peter Lee who, contrary to impressions given by his surname, is not at all Chinese.

spreading propaganda is all you can do. Isn't it? Ladakh was there with India before even the Mughal came to rule the country. Just because of cross border marriage, they have the roots. Ladakh, and North East India have DNA of North India in them which is proven. Myanmar was part of India only. Now it is a different country. Same goes for Bhutan and Nepal as well. We share cultural roots. Looks like you certainly did not read enough history. Indus Valley Civilization was wayy before even Chin Dynasty existed lol. Hinduism is the oldest religion. Looks like the Han Chinese just migrated here. We still don't know from where they are from. And btw, every person is from Africa. Even you. We all migrate from everywhere for a better living. So go back to Africa since you are originally from there. Can you? In Asia, Hindu helped developing many religions lol. Looks like being racist and Hinduphobic is the thing you are good at.@@aungnaingauh305

Tibet has a population of 3.5 million and an annual fiscal revenue of 35 billion US dollars, of which 32 billion is allocated by Beijing. For those who say that the Chinese government is oppressing the Tibetan people, people in other parts of China have nine years of compulsory education, and all their school expenses are It’s free, and the government will help them and build houses for them. People in one area go to the mountains to dig up a kind of medicinal material when the season comes. They can earn 50,000 US dollars in one or two months, and they all sell it to people in other parts of China. , and many Chinese people like to travel to Tibet, which brings them income. It can be said that without the Chinese government, Tibet may be similar to Nepal.

first of all, "yuan dynasty" was the Mongolian rule of mongolia and china, with north korea, and tibet as vassal states. after the yuan dynasty collapsed, all of these countries went back to governing themselves- china had ming dynasty, and tibet had phagmodrupa dynasty and other tibetan dynasties. "qing dynasty" which was the manchu rule of china, started in 1636. tibet decided to be a vassal state of the manchu in 1720 until the dynasty collapsed in 1911 after which tibet declared itself an independent country, but was invaded by china in the 1950s. both of these dynasties "yuan dynasty" and "qing dynasty" were FOREIGN RULE of china, china itself was part of mongolia so to claim tibet is a part of china since yuan(mongolian) rule OVER CHINA ITSELF is ridiculous. and you can look up maps of chinese dynasties after yuan dynasty like ming dynasty, jin dynasty, etc it only includes china, not tibet. how are you chinese so shameless and continue to rewrite history and lie like this? have some shame. you dont know your own country china's history but i dont blame you since all you're all brainwashed with rewritten histories and LIES.

Full of CCP bots in comment section. I am a historian, and Chinese have never had a claim in Tibet. The presence of a few Manchu representatives (Jurchen People) in Lhasa, Tibet, was due to good relations between the two nations. When the British invaded Tibet in 1903-1904, only Tibetans fought and lost. They signed a treaty with Tibet even when these Manchu representatives were present in Lhasa. All these commies are botching up facts everywhere. Below is the link to the photo of the treaty between the British and Tibet, where no Chinese seal or signature was present. We kicked them out when they started interfering in our internal politics.
