Great film, JJB. Thanks for this. I was 14 that year and remember these iconic scenes of Glasgow very well - especially the Barras!
Smashing video. How I miss those days. Especially visiting the Barras
It’s always the slums you see ! I came from a lovely part of Glasgow. We we’re comfortable, not everyone was from a deprived area
There's plenty of West End Glasgow footage around too
I was born in 1962 @number 7 marquis street.moved to Barrowfield 1968/9,been there since.
how depressing
A crossbow great things. And of course there was always the call “ you’ll take somebody’s eye oot wae that bloody thing “ and who could forget the sling ?
Thank you
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 😎form Glasgow
Lovely film lovely song READ THE REAL GORBALS STORY NEXT BRILLIANT BOOK 👍
Is it good. I see your comment a lot.
What a complete dump. The Barras is still a dump now.
that architecture swings from Dickensian to brutal East German. Ouch!
Being raised in Glasgow and Cumbernauld is why I have a penchant for Communist-era Eastern European architecture.
