I take a look at a kit that was cutting edge when released, still worth building? You can support future videos here I don't do membership:- paypal.me/JasonPort
I built this when I was a kid. It was a point of pride for me that I did all the rigging and made it as close to perfect as possible. I still wish I had a few pictures of it. Thanks for the review.
When the weather was at its worst in the North Atlantic and all the “state-of-the-art” asw aircraft were strapped to the decks the swordfish was still launching flying in 400 (maybe less) foot cloud ceilings with state-of-the-art radar , rockets. It was a real hero fighting the u-boats.
Hi Jason, Thanks for another great First Impressions. Interesting kit. It's going to take a bit of work to fix the sink marks, but I'm sure it will look great when finished. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Hi Jason, great first impression, Swordfish is one of the greatest airplanes of WW2, obsolete in design as it was, still more than capable to serve throughout the whole war. One of my favourites, I have 1/72 scale from Airfix, very nice kit as well. Thanks and have a great day, Dom
I built this when it first came out and added the Tamiya PE for it. Made it. It looked great. Carried it upstairs and on the way up, i passed out, fell on it and slid down the stairs. Completely destroying the model. That was over 20 years ago. I so want to do it again and do it justice. it's a hard kit to find in the states.
Good evening Jason, the Swordfish loo,s to be a great kit, I did not realise that Tamiya had released a float version, will you bfe biilding this kit soon? Best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les

Fine first impression video. I didn't know there was a floatplane version of the Swordfish.

Cheers Jason and Rexs Hangar just released a video on the development and service of the Swordfish which complimented your unboxing
