- Watch and hear John’s personal story of how God delivered him from abusive behaviors and set him on a new, successful path. Even though he is Kenneth and Gloria’s son, he had to learn how to stand on his own faith and trust God for himself.
As a teenager, John and his dad had a difficult relationship, so much so that they didn’t talk much. John even expected to leave home when he turned 18 and never return. That’s when the Lord began talking to Kenneth about his relationship with his son. Kenneth came to John and shared what the Lord had shown him.
“You are your own man from this point on,” Kenneth said. “The decisions that you make are yours, right or wrong, but the day you get thrown in the deepest, darkest dungeon, that’s the day I’m going to start trying to get you out. I will always be here for you. I will never leave you nor forsake you, but the decisions you make from here on out are yours.”
That moment changed Kenneth and John’s relationship. They began to spend time together and communicate without arguing.
Change in John’s habits didn’t happen straight away. He readily admits that he continued to use drugs. As he matured, though, he realized that it was only a matter of time before he was caught by police. He knew that if he did, his parents would pay the price for his actions in the media. The Lord began working his heart. His love for his parents motived him to change his ways, and he stopped his drug use immediately. Looking back, he sees his decision to “put away childish things” as a practical example of 1 Corinthians 13, which says, “Love never fails.”
The Lord eventually called him to work at the ministry, first in the facilities department, then as the international director and later as Kenneth Copeland Ministries’ executive director. All of it was in preparation for what John does now. Today, he helps other churches and ministries operate with the same excellence and strength of character that he learned from his parents and from his co-workers at Kenneth Copeland Ministries.

Brother John . . you're a handsome young man .. ....I remember your Dad telling a story about you when you were about 5 yrs.old...you were sick but your Dad and Mom had prayed the prayer of faith over you ....then your dad had to preach that nite, while teaching the Word to the audience he felt a tug on his pants(I think) he said John what are you doing you said Dad I am Healed!!! I will never forget that....now look at you all grown up and made whole....Praise the Lord!!!!...you're a handsome young man😊

To see your testimony is very much a blessed assurance. The assurance that God is not a respecter of person, He doesn't play favorites. We have trials and temptations be and He lets us have our way even if it is not the best way. You got some revelation knowledge and turned yourself around. I don't want to know all the details about ministry people's struggles but it helps people to see that no one is exempt from struggles. And there's a solution for good with God. Thank you for this message. I have been away from the Lord for several years struggling with alcohol abuse & cigar(ettes) abuse, and suffering. I decided to turn my life back over to God Dec. 23, 2019 and stop drinking & smoking. 4 days so far and all is going well. However I feel as though I need a Purpose, a Path. And praise God for you telling me God has a path for me. I shall earnestly and diligently seek God about it. Thank You.

This testimony is a blessing, many times the people of God are suffering with their children and the situation looks hopeless but thank God for a plan for our children even when the enemy attacks. B-encouraged John!!!

Thank you for sharing this "Holy Ghost mystery " l first heard this testimony from your Dad during 2017 Washington Dc Victory Campaign, and my relationship with my daughter was transformed, because l began to see her as my dear sister in the Lord and she too began to do the same. The love of God is very real in family that yields to him. continually for help.
