Alright so in this video I redesigned both the elder guardian and warden bosses from minecraft. It went decently well but I forgot to save the textures on the angler guardian lmao. Idk if anyone reads these but I'm learning minecraft modding and will eventually be able to put this stuff in the game so that's exciting. Subscribe for more

Deep sea gigantism is a phenomenon that occurs due to efficiency in energy conservation in the deep cold water. The larger the animal the lesser the surface area to volume ratio, hence less environmental heat loss per kilo of mass

I like how the elder guardian turned into a Kirby boss. I can definitely see this elder guardian redesign as sweet stuff (angler fish boss in Kirby.)

I love when he designs these they’re so cool and should come to minecraft!
I thought it would be interesting if the Angler Fish was completely invisible except for it's light when out of combat, so you wouldn't know it was a boss until you either got too close or had prior knowledge. Another neat thing you could do is make it so every now and then, fish would swim over so the Angler Fish would reveal itself by one shotting it.
Just hearing the words "I'M A 3D ARTIST!" automatically makes my day 10 times better

If you look at the Mobiestiary drawing the Elder guardian is an cyborg pufferfish with a doomsday laser, so still pretty scary

bro I just want to say that I absolutely love your videos. I love how you're very open about your research and the fact that you also spend hours going down rabbit holes about random fascinating topics on the internet. Sometimes I feel guilty about going on these random deep dives since I tend to waste a lot of time, it makes me feel like I'm just completely unable of pursuing any sort of creative interest. But seeing you be so succesful and adept at 3D modeling while falling down these rabbit holes inspires me a lot and gives me hope. The world is so cool and there's too much to learn about it!!

Yeah its literally only able to house a single fish too. Lets not forget the deepest point around 16k meters below
theres one thats called the trenches that leads to the deepest trench
I used to be REALLY REALLY REALLY interested in fishes by reading encyclopedia and soon I realized the dangers of deep and today I have phibia of deep for the same reason
I like how the creatures look and I know put a lot of hard work into them, but I think they’re not very creative and not as good as their original counterparts. But overall great job! 👌🏻

Deep sea gigantism is mainly caused by the increased oxygen in lower depths as well as little to no sunlight. This allows for much colder temperatures which allows cells to live much longer as well as grow larger.
It also helps that larger animals can generally survive longer without food.

An anglerfish for the elder guardian could make sense biologically wise too, having the elder be a matriarch and the regular guardians being males that can mate with it parasitically (maybe even when you kill it dozens of premature guardians spawn like that one video of a spider exploding with babies after getting smacked with a broom).

Let me just say that the rant about how absolutely horrifying the ocean is is extremely based.
And that's coming from the one who says that he can kill anything with a chainsaw cannon
And the thing is, thats just on this planet. Who knows whats on the other fucking planets? In the middle of the moon, probably a giant centipede with 10 heads and pointy sharp blades for arms. And what about the rest of space? Earth is puny compared to the other planets, but what about outside the universe? What unimaginable creatures lay out there, waiting to be discovered. Or trying to find us. Something could be flying fullspeed towards us right now, and we wouldn't know.

The Warden isn’ a boss, its a ,,natural disaster” according to Mojang, and the Elder Guardian isn’t technically a Boss since it doesn’t have a Boss Health Bar, so its a Mini-Boss
well some players consider them a mini-boss
@@MemeBruhv you could consider the Warden a Mini-Boss, but like, Mini-Boss and Boss you kinda have to fight them, but the Warden you are not supposed to fight him.

The elder guardian reminded me of a dream I had recently, where there were ruined sea monuments is the best I can explain. It sorta looks like a strange pyramid. The guardians and elder guardian were like piranha angler fish with no bulb. The ruined monument was dark, and mossy, and generally just thoroughly disturbing. I was quite surprised it didn’t turn my dream into a nightmare…

The angler fish is an awesome design and I'd love to see it in the game, but I just fail to see what it has to do with the guardian. I guess the colors are similar, but that's just about it. Still love how both of these came out, and I'm excited for your next video!

Well actually if you think like this then the only real boss is the ender dragon since it’s not optional. This means the wither and illusioner are also mini bosses since they are optional.
Really damn good work, although one critism I gotta give to you here, you missed out on a whole bit of Guardian lore which would've made the design different I feel.
They're mechanical.
Guardians, to our knowledge based on stuff both in and out of the game, were created to guard the ocean monuments. Their skin is made of prismarine, the same as their monuments they guard, and they shoot damn lasers, like full on lasers, and hurt melee attackers with their spikes.
The fact they're mechanical coulda been some interesting differences to the design you made, but for a "biological elder guardian" that's real damn good
