I honestly think the whole Eden Park thing is a pointless record to worry about. Doesn't matter what the venue is the All Blacks have to first and foremost worry about simply playing as a team. If their minds are on that record then they risk losing focus on what Argentina are doing, especially if the game is tight with 10-15 minutes left to play. This group of AB's over the last couple of years have a tendency to run out of ideas when their game plan doesn't work. The last thing they need is the extra pressure about 'Fortress Eden Park'. Records are made to be broken, what matters most is whether the team actually performs.
Also it's all about how Razor and the players react to pressure. This is a real test of this team's metal and resolve. I'm super keen to see what they can do.
Razor hasn't reacted well so far! He speaks gibberish looking like having a melt down. 😂 As for his legion of assistant coaches talking gobbel de gook. Doesn't fill me with a great deal of confidence.
sam good to see you back. allblack exits, here in western australia we know dmac, ,beauden, and jordie can kick long, what we don't know is what the coaches with very little test experience is asking them to do. this backline minus aaron and richie played in 1/4, semi and final of the world cup and did very well. as for reiko didn,t he have leon mcdonald as a coach 5 years prior to this. go the allblacks you can do this.
The All Blacks are the holders of some rather impressive records. Win or lose at Eden Park, you cannot ignore the fact. That would also be an impressive record.
Hoorah finally someone else is like minded, regards to Eden Park being a fortress. If this is the motivation, could see the pages of history with headlines,an end to a dynasty For my perspective nothing less than a strong cohesive and no nonsense performance that belies and fully backs the coaching management selections.A solid dress rehearsal for the South African leg.i trust with Mark Telea being on the bench, our wingers will not be coming of their wings as extra forwards Honesty from the pack, front foot ball
After their upset win over the defending Rugby Championship winners down in the capital last week, which came 10 months after they were hammered by 30 points in the Rugby World Cup Semi-Final. Argentina have a good chance of ending the All Blacks 30-year winning streak at their National Stadium. So much is at stake.
It shouldn't matter how each individual plays, but how well they work together. They need to back each other up a lot more. Get to the rucks hard and early, support lines that connect well and mixing up positions like the boks did with Colbe and Reinarch
Personally an Altercation at some point in the proceedings of play. Would actually be of benefit to the game, rather than have this Made for TV Family Rated Sanitized version of what Rugby has become, rather than what it should be.😮
The All Blacks pack remains unbalanced. Vaa’i is an interesting case as a lock whose stats seem to indicate he should carry well but doesn’t. He has athletic and skilful qualities around the field but doesn’t get the ball over the gainline in the tight spaces. His position is hopefully going to be a placeholder for when Scott Barrett returns but it is a weakness right now. Darry might be a keeper as a starting lock though, because of his arial skills. The loose forwards are all, basically, open side flankers with a reserve open side on the bench for good measure. It didn’t work last week, so apparently people think everything will be different this week?!!? Ah.... At least there is a ball carrier in Williams and also Clarke on the wing, but this is not an All Blacks team built to dominate. Argentina will give it their all - although they still have inaccuracies in their game too. One hopes they will have an off-day, for NZs sake!
9 and 10 is our biggest problem the entire back line, this is a weak team doesn't have the toughness of teams in the past couple years, Razor looks like he's going to have a heart attack after that 1st game,
Records like eden park can really put the pressure on

Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

Sam fricking Cane on the bench wow hope he plays a blinder. Get em Sammy 💪
Argies to break the eden park streak

🎉Go The ABs 🙏💪❤️
Would rather see Proctor if not in the starting line up on the bench. Do we really need wing cover on the bench with Reiko and Jordie on the field?
