For the Nescafe is she used black and gold that would look so premium and have a coffee vibe, compared to the black and white which looks more modern and futuristic
Nescafé need to pay you a fortune right now! The update is amazing and it looks like total class now! Kellogs is beautiful too in a totally different way 😊
LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Both rebrands are absolutely gorgeous. You've hit the mark. Both type treatments are *chef's kiss*
I wish you didn't speed through the Kellogg's logo process though. I know a lot of it is repetitive, but It's usually my favorite part to hear how other designers think and explain their reasoning behind certain design choices. I love how you go about breaking down your type choice/elimination process as well as building your compositions. Great work though! I love your videos and I look forward to them every Sunday. ♥️ 💜

I love seeing your process and how you can completely transform a brand that is so everyday to one that looks so premium, as you were choosing the colours for the Kellogg’s branding I thought it might look too plain but seeing it come together I actually really liked the final outcome!

great video. I really liked the Nescafe redesign , its a huge improvement and I think it definitely makes it more luxe and appealing to a wider audience. Would definitely like to see more of these videos and hope you had a great easter weekend !

This is lovely! You really hit the mark on both of them! I wish you would have slowed down the video. I think we're all interested in the process as much as the final results! You can use chapters for anyone who wants to skip out on certain parts.

Great job Abi! I love how you made the Nescafé logo into a modern futuristic style. Personally not a fan of the colours. I think brown and gold or even black and light brown will stand out more and show that it’s a high class coffee brand.

Kelloggs definitely premium brand good improvement to the original, as this brand has been going on for years never thought of changing it yes you are right it's more targeted for younger generation need to be open to all ages the brand. I might have some breakfast myself lol, keep up the good work.

How do you resize the patterns and move them about with out going back into the pattern its something i seem to always struggle with. Any hints or tips or reel idea??
if you double click the select tool there's an option to enable/disable 'transform patterns'!

you can disable ligatures in your character panel rather than manually using glyphs :)

I like the direction you chose for Nescafe. My only comment is that the legibility is not clear when you decided to combine the "e" and the "s". This way the "e" looks more loke "f". I think i would be more legible if "c" and "a" are together. What do you think?

Hey, so it can take a lot of trail and error, but I use envato elements for most of my fonts so you can download and try out as many as you want! I'll make a video on it soon 😊

It's too bad the capital N for the type called Bruney - I think - came like this, cause the N reminded me of the coffee bean with the little S shape we often see and could have worked as a stand alone, on app icons/favicon

Hi there! To do this you use a 'clipping mask' the keyboard shortcut is Command, shift, 7. Hope this helps😊

Hey, Abi. I am wondering, is there any theory for choosing a typography in design? Like a particular packaging for milk product. How do you pick them in terms of the brand style (eg. modern, fun, sparkling, etc)? I find its hard
Hi there👋 Yes there is theory behind choosing certain types of typography and fonts. You want to choose fonts that portray some sort of emotion to the audience you are trying to target. A lot of my font choices has come down to trial and error and seeing what works and what doesn't. Experience comes with repetition, so keep working with fonts and doing your own passion projects where you test out different fonts! I'll note down to do a video on this sort of topic! 😊

Both of them are amazing but the Kellogg's one just doesn't scream cereal, looks like a handbag company don't get me wrong I would buy those products cuz I'm a sucker when it comes to amazing branding, just thought it was far from what the original brand is.
