This had me playing a reel of all her movies that I've seen in my head... I remembered her truly great performances in Prizzi's Honor and The Grifters, her short but sweet roles in those Woody Allen movies and her playing fascinating wives in the Wes Anderson ones, her terrifying beauty in The Witches and the Addams family movies, her snark and wit in Ever After, ending with the recent memory of The Dead, which I only saw today. What a woman. Elegant and classy, enduring despite the hardships, with so many talents and so much to say. A spectacular beauty that faded, as beauty often does, leaving the rest of her unique qualities to shine. And what a sweet, calming voice she has. They say Morgan Freeman is the voice of God, but sometimes I wish that, if there's really a God, she might have the voice of Anjelica Huston.
