Mark, I have just got to say, as someone that has taken TH-cam seriously and decided to put all aside and focus solely on building a brand on this platform, you are a true pioneer and inspiration to many. Continue building and growing, and you’ll eventually reach every brain in the world.

Am I the only one that doesn't see ALL this overhead represented in the quality of the video?
I really don't want to be a Debbie Downer and I genuinely like Mark, but I think there should also be genuine feedback.
As a viewer, I don't think it's easy to appreciate the amount of work that went into this. As an entrepeneur, I don't know how this wasn't possible with about 1/10th of the budget.
That might sound extreme, but I mean it..
400k for something that in the OG days of youtube would just be shot with a couple of Gopro's?
Maybe the other creators were (royally) comped, maybe there were aspects of the shoot that were challenging regarding following the drones, especially at night..
But it's hard not to see this as unnecessarily hyperinflating this video.
I love seeing youtubers "make it" and I'm not at all judging what they do with their money, but I think giving honest feedback is always worth it.
I feel like this is (one of) the first times Collin and Samir experienced it like this as well, it seems to shine through the video in some parts.
I got the feeling they were summoned for this "grand spectacle", but it turned out to be a very complex shoot for a backyard scientist video.
Like.. I get with Jimmy, but those shoots are genuinely crazy in scale, pay-outs and set-ups (as have some of Mark's in the past)
Edit: I'd like to revise my initial scope to about 80k, as there are also the material and build costs for his work on the giant dart thing.

One of my favorite videos from you guys of recent. I super appreciate that rather than shying away from the hardcore business concepts in order to keep the content broadly understandable, you made a big effort to explain them so that they *became* broadly understandable - and for those of us who knew stuff like LTV already, kept this a valuable lesson.

I like this thumbnail. You still have your font and that yellow, but it's based on a moment from the video. So I have the trust of knowing what I'm going to see. The book cover matches the story. Also the car creates a "where we going" question in the subconscious mind. It all fits this video well. I know thumbnails are all about exaggeration right now, but If it falls along the same trend as Book Covers, viewers are going to be turned off by covers (or thumbnails) not matching the story. IDK if this shot of Mark was perfect, but him being mid sentence does tell us we're about to hear him talk. The quote was perfect to.

Amazing video! Here are my takeaways:
    - Best TH-cam videos can seamlessly promote your products.
    - A perfect product combines having a clear mission, intellectual property, and something to sell.
    - A perfect company is one in which videos support the products, and products support the videos.
    - Creator businesses have two advantages they should leverage:
    - Lower Customer Acquisition Cost
    - More insights into how well a video converts into sales
    - Higher possible Lifetime Value

Most "kits" only include what they have and their guide book or instructions but Crunchlabs comes with such reusable components and an active community behind it that you can start with the kits and then combine them into your own creation, while having the support of the creators of the kit cheering you on!

This is so wild to see! Mark has built something absolutely phenomenal.
But at the same time, it seems wild that “creator” is a term applied both to what’s happening in this video as well as the person just in a corner or spare room trying their best and maybe even eking out an income. For example, I knew what he meant but my brain kinda broke when I had to confirm “spending four hundred” on a video meant $400,000 and not $400. There’s a massive gap in the “creator” world.

Mark is a corporate sellout. Typically this is an indicator of failure of the platform. The massive production costs and crew, and stress of full scale production. Each video feeds off of the prior one, his last success is only as good as his next video. Eventually Mark will burnout on feeding the beast he created. None of this feels authentic in any way. It’s feels as synthetic and forced. I mean, heck, the guy has a man hired to shield him from the sun? Sorry Mark, but you come off pretty douchey.

This format works really well. I'd love to see one with Mr. Beast, Smosh, or any other YT that has grown into a business. Really fascinating to see not only their philosophies on business, but also their story of what got them to this point. Keep it up y'all.

Mark's TH-cam has evolved to an entire business that employs so many people. It's insane.

I've been watching Mark's videos for a while and... though i know he's not like young and in his 20's, he always looks energetic and full of soul on his videos. But the side camera shoots in the car here really reveals how much time has passed. Like ngl and no offense but his face did age. The scale of Cruch Labs nowadays really shocked me. Keep on Mark! And thanks to Colin amd Samir for the insight.

Thank you, I learned something from this big time. For a while now I been wanting to get merch, I think it be mostly for me just to advertise for myself more and sell a few to loyal subs. But I can’t remember the exact words used but some to the effect that mark has been advertised for years and the people wanted something to buy that relates to him and then. This basic idea has given me the idea of what to do and how to approach it. I had this idea for a while but thought about it completely different and now I think it’s the merch I always wanted the whole time. It’s perfect to relate what I do and what the people relate to me. Thanks again guys. Also the video was great. Who doesn’t love a lil mark in a video, right?

This was suchhh a good video. This style of video is definitely one of my favorites. As an engineering student in college its always fun seeing the passion that Mark has for it. Also 11:18 - nice sign spinning skills Colin😂

Samir and Colin. Your storytelling abilities are amazing ❤ I loved the video, the audio quality, the scenes, the transitions. TH-cam should be like this. I hope to also see this as a youtube short in your channel soon.
