I found the walks through the slums to be fascinating. I never realised they had so many small businesses and the sheer numbers of bikes and the uses they were put to came as a surprise to me. LarryPH has brought the slums to life. He doesn't pass judgment or comment on what he films. He leaves it up to us to draw our own conclusions.

Don't know what's inside the head of some people. Wow! a sidewalk. Lets extend our garage. Or why not open a busses. No pressure. Let the people walk on the street. Don't know if that will work in any other countries.
When I see places like this I think to myself, why don't people clean that up.
They live there and the govt clearly don't care so the only people who are going to look after that place is themselves, so why live in such conditions when simply cleaning up your own patch would make your life so much better.

I feel for these people and admire their strength of character. It should be no surprise that in any country extreme poverty breeds crime amongst some. Can you blame them?

why? you expect everyone is rich? no this place is their home and the memories, their experiences and whatver they can scrape by to survive & atleast have a roof on their heads was worth it for their families alone is rich in their spirits, the way we see it may be clumsy or poor places but these places have a tight knit community that knows each others as neighbors incase a flood hits. they be thankful than living in victorian era london

@@costantinorodriguez9002 Same.. i moved from PH to Baltimore, MD and i never look down whether the place is poor nor rich.. even moving from florida to California (oakley daly city & san francisco) i reminisce of how whether one's life is lucky or the place has made it's own history that one could uncover, i could gawk at nor fear the downthrodden yet diverse chaotic sites of NYC/brooklyn or fear the homeless in LA, the decrepit neigborhoods of detroit.. but to personally walk through them and see the people face to face... they are'nt diffrent from us as any time we could fall in to their situation... atleast these people have hope & a living than being going under making the place more of a community... the way i think of my country folks who lived like this are stronger than me as i don't even know how to survive on what odd jobs they do and are much more resourceful as i! am...i can remember my father & his siblings lived like this once...im lucky never to grown up tight yet i notice the diffrence of my well off gated subdivision life vs the happy kids who lived near as i watched through far those walls
