For speed skating u go all the way to the outside of the straight away then get close to those cones (yes I'm a speed skater with an average speed at 25mph)

My dad and brother played and coached hockey. I was a figure skater. Our skates were well taken care of that wasn’t just skill.

When I was rollerblading yesterday with my friend some kid with helmets and knee pads hit me head on and I smashed my face on the ground and my nose started bleeding the kid didn’t even get in trouble!

I used to have abec 5’s without knowing it with my first pair of rollerblades but then I unknowingly switched to abec 3’s and somehow never gets lower than 3rd place. But now I’m going to hockey skates (abec 9)
Get lower in your turns. I'm assuming you're on the Mission Inhalers? Push harder through the toe and less on the heel. You'll have more traction in the corners and be able to get a deeper crossover for higher speed coming off the corner.
Umm did that kid know that he is NOT allowed to move after the official says “set”? He should be disqualified. Don’t ask how I know bc I’m a skater in the Australian team racing for Australia
He’s crossing on the turns he’s taking the turns to wide and yeah. Instead, you should take both of your feet parallel and kinda scoot. It’s hard to explain but it makes you go much faster. Also, I can’t really call it crossing what he’s doing. He’s just moving his feet back-and-forth really fast if he would cross on the start and maybe in the middle, he would go a lot faster but overall this guy isn’t very good all that his skates are about $500 thousand dollars
