Thanks for the update, have been thinking about how you and your family have been getting on with the storms glad you are all well. How many other people would have just stopped to repair a road they have driven over and found it to be compromised, not many even is those home owners had 4x4's bet they were still grateful. 👍

Lets hope the bad weather your having abates and we continue to see you enjoy working on all types of machinery. As a youth like you my hair was as long as yours and every night after a shift was never done washing and drying to get rid of the muck before having a night out in town. Just wondering if you ever considered getting a trendy short style which would then allow you more time to prepare for going away to a show or even half the time just blowing and drying before relaxing for an evening. Hope you feeling better and look forward to seeing your escapades whither on the roads or fields next Sunday.

Have you ever thought about getting a survival suit for the winter/autumn days your stuck on the dumper. They are great if your not moving too much but when you have to do some shovel work they turn into a sweat box

Interesting video. Maybe that culvert needs to be replaced with a precast concrete box culvert, to provide extra capacity without increasing the road height.
@@the_digger_girl Yes, I had a feeling that the wall was the main issue but could not see sufficient detail in the video to be certain. I did a few culverts with my old field squadron and high standards were required, not least because our Squadron Sergeant Major’s civilian job was: Ministry of Works Bridging Officer for Wellington. Every RNZE bridge design had to be approved by him.

@@the_digger_girl I think you misread me; I was asking about whether or not the railway line on the bridge was part of the old (when originally built old) Callendar and Oban Railway (which ran through Crianlarach, and is why there are 2 stations in Tyndrum).

I think a plastic one will be grand with a decent head wall. It was the most rain we had in 30 years so bound to happen.
