    v interesting, relate & agree to a lot of the tips -- interestingly, I often prefer to warm up with singles due to better ease of stabilizing heel-toe and less lateral movement required to start things off.
    Also wanted to, of course, vouch for studying charts!! This is a huge part of improving at the game that can be done outside of the arcade, prior to a PIU session, that goes hand in hand with a lot of PIU goals.

    I always felt like i couldn't run on a full stomach but I could never play dance games well on an empty stomach

    For warm up I preferred Gargoyle full song more, that song can makes you feel tired during playing, but at the same time it stretch your legs, makes you more comfortable when you want play harder song.

      meanwhile passing gargoyle full song would be like my greatest achievement by far, rather than a casual warmup ;-;

    to warm up anything from 16 to 18, usually go random.
    I tend to play rank since its more fun at first for waming up (F)
    then I just escalate levels every two plays, so 2 19s. 2 20s. and so on until I reach my current human limit haha (S24 & D25)
    Here is an advice from me: Every now and then uptake the dificult to the absolute hardest, borderline cant pass. this is what is needed to push yourself to higher levels, after you get tired, slow down with easier stuff, gradual from there and then again. works great
    oh also, competing against another person as well its what takes you to higher levels, healthy competitive play its amazing!

    Advance 1, the dreamm. Warming up a couole levels below your peak is a great tip

    Going with a friend is probably the best tip tbh. We sometimes play co op. One session we decided it would be funny if we try get better than an F on Gargoyle full song S20 by just tagging each other out every break part of the song. We had to sit out for like 30 minutes to recover, ruined our session lol. Also we did not get better than an F, we had like 400 misses... x_x
    It amazes me people have that stamina alone. That song feels like trying to sprint for almost 6 minutes straight.

      it really just depends on how well maintained the pad is and how good your heel and toe is developed. It literally is easy af once you got that down

    My warm up sessions would give you a heart attack
    D18 -> D19 -> D20 -> D21
    Then I go straight to clearing more 22s and 23s

    Cabinets at my town are terrible, im currently at lvl 19, but, boards are just terrible, and the best i can do with those boards is like S16/D16, they drain way more stamina because you need way more force to step the arrows.

    Cool, first remember your first credit won't be the best as you can play hehe it's simple your stamina, muscles and your body needs more than 1 credit to wake up to play seriously, so your first credit it's just a train, pump it's a cardio sport ( ye, it is) so if you want to pass s23 like demment, s22 like etude you need increase your resistance you should practice cycling ( not the song lel), maybe running and strengthen your legs doing squats to increase your explosivity power because pump it's is and explosive sport.

    If you are 30 plus, start with level 10 songs, double, specifically. 14 will cramp the shit out of you, period. Only kids can start with s-d14+ as their first song, today, I started with 1st to 3rd songs, like Mobius strip, Come Back, The Hybs, and culminated on failling Chicken Wing Drill @ Mezzo Forte, but did a thousand plus combo on s19 Chicken Wing, a good combo on Witch Doctor s21, did 6 credits flawlessly with a lot of energy left, and normally I'm beat up past the 3rd one.

    No friends here! Socializing for a 45 year old man that play dance games is pretty much impossible. Otherwise all your other advice is a given, but in my 20+ years of playing dance games I’ve never stretched.
