    This is gold. If a 30 minute TH-cam video is this valuable, I cannot wait for the seminar!

      @@IDCWoodcraft Curiously enough I was already subbed to your channel when I first saw this video. Obviously I was impressed enough with the other video I saw that I subbed then lol You give a lot of good knowledge in a thought out and well articulated way, on top of that, your pacing makes it perfect to watch at normal speed for comprehension or double speed for more info in a shorter time.

    OK fine!! You just blew my thought process right out of the water with some great information! Now I get to rethink my name. Awesome prospective on naming my business.

      Hey Jp. Get the name focused. Just to go too fucused. Enough that the search engines know what you do and how to attach you to a search

    I will bet that every newcomer did not realize they now have completely stop looking 'OUT' their window and learn a different way to look 'IN'. Sort of like turning your brain 🧠 upsidedown in your head. 'ALICE' stepping through the looking glass.
    Garrett, this video might just start separating me chafe from the wheat 🌾.

    What about Google words in the background that key in on the searches. It seems they are more important than a business name, but a name is important in that it is easy that remember.

    • @IDCWoodcraft
      @IDCWoodcraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Paul. There were many other tools that I could have put into the video. The idea is to utilize the search engines to your advantage. However, if your name is easy to remember, and people know what you're doing, and you got customers, then you're off and running! You have a brand! Thanks for adding a little tip in there. I always like it when people offer their ideas in the comments.

    You recommend bob's CNC all the time though?

    • @IDCWoodcraft
      @IDCWoodcraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not anymore. It is a great machine and has amazing customer support. However, the machine was not rigid enough which caused a lot of extra work after the project was cut. The machine I recommend is the long mill 30x30 CNC router
      I did a deep dive review on it, and about CNC routers and how they're built, and what to look for.

    A.B.S.
    (Always Be Selling!)
    That’s what this channel is coming too!
    Most video have good information in them but they are solely done for you to sell your time or product and really has gotten away from what you said you were about and became all about the money for you or maybe that’s what it was about the whole time.

    • @IDCWoodcraft
      @IDCWoodcraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you learned from this channel?

    • @droneguy0265
      @droneguy0265 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Learned a couple little things in the beginning
      But recently have learned it’s all about your sales and what leads you to your next dollar you have even started your so busy with sales that you don’t really have the time to answer emails yourself anymore and looking for other to apply to step in and help.
      Don’t get me wrong it’s great your doing good with sales and making money and I hope it continues.
      But you sell this channel as something totally different and continue to try and sell your friends services / products and.real estate or have people that are hurting to contact you if they are about to lose their homes or property
      So keep on ( A.B.S.) but be true about what your channel is about and I hope you can find your way back to it’s original content
      Thanks for responding

    • @IDCWoodcraft
      @IDCWoodcraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I make a living from this. I give away my knowledge, and those that want to pay for my services or by the bits that I sell, they do so.
      For those that just want the information, it's there for the taking for free. They don't owe me anything.
      I will always sell. I will always earn an income doing what I'm doing because I love what I do, and like you, I have to make money as well. This is the way that I do it.
      If you feel that I am being greedy, and that upsets you, you are always free to not watch any of the videos, and unsubscribe if you want.
      My character, and style is not for everyone.

      CNC Routers, Beginners & Beyond - Garrett Fromme
      Just so we are clear My comment was about the direction the channel has taken and become about selling your time an bits etc and not anything about you making a living Im am glade you can / are making you living doing something you love.
      It’s that the channel has gone from CNC for the beginner to selling services and bits to the beginner so I brought it up because people/myself enjoyed it more the way it started out and I wanted to say something about it because lots of people and other channels get caught up on the freebies that are give and the money that comes in from averting and lose their way and subscribers in the process and would rather hear it before it’s too late and they have sold their true enjoyment and passion and get a bad reputation for a few freebies and a few bucks and can’t and what they love becomes that job you left because it’s becoming mind numbing and not enjoyable.
      I’ll continue to follow your channel in hope it can return to what it was and started out as but time will tell.
      If you take a minute and think of what your last video update was about and you not having time because your so busy witch is great for you making that money but again how long before you don’t enjoy it anymore and it’s that same old 9-5 you left will it be worth it?
      Thank you for responding and doing the videos you do I hope it will go back to what it started at least a little bit
      Thanks again

      @@droneguy0265 on that note, I am very aware of that some of the video quality has suffered because business is picked up so much and I am spending so much time helping other people.
      That's why I want to bring other people on board so I can get back to some of the stuff I was doing. I understand what you're saying. Thanks
