As perhaps, the most publicized meteorite fall in history, swarms of meteorite hunters flooded the scene in hopes of securing a piece of this famed fireball.

Interesting, I was driving on I-40 near Barstow Ca. at 2 in the morning. Suddenly my surroundings turned to daylight, I could have read the fine print of a newspaper inside the cab. For a moment I thought it was a police helicopter overhead, but it lit things up for nearly a mile. Then the fire ball went over my head, and I could see it break up thru the front windshield. After watching this video, I wonder if anyone ever tried to find that fall ?
