Thanks a lot for the thorough tour Gabe! As someone who has waded through the aisles of many a comic con, i know how stressful it can be, let alone when you've got to worry about recording with 2 cameras! Its a shame the artist alley tour wasnt as thorough as the main hall, but it looked pretty dense in there!
You've got the feet for it! This con seems like a pretty good balance between venue size and crowd. Beats San Diego and the food is so much better here.

This is a lot better than when I went today (Sunday 2023). Looks like you had a lot more fun exhibits and things to do. Plus it does not look crowded like when I went.
never been to one before , sure wish you had looked at some of the stalls a little , was fun seeing that lots of people were dressed as their favourite characters .
I hope it will be this good in 2024

Thanks for the feedback! One of the reasons I didn't was because I recorded a 360° at the same time, which I hoped would give people more freedom to pan around. Not to mention I was recording both at the same time so I was a little distracted haha

This is Bob in Connecticut the comicon I would never miss it it’s bigger than the Super Bowl in New York and in San Diego. Most people should wake up and smell the coffee if you just bought some of the vintage comic books a few years ago the first Spider-Man avengers X-Men fantastic four stuff like that everybody would be wealthy. I was a bartender I gave up the restaurant business 11 years ago the only thing I do I have Yankee tickets every year and I go to local comic cons.

I will *never* go to another Comicon ever again... Not after what ReedPOP, the parent company of Comicon did to Michael Carbonaro. If I have to choose between Michael Carbonaro and ReedPOP, my choice will always Mike Carbonaro....
Stopped going to Comic Con in 2017 (except 2018 when I attended their AnimeFest side con). Cons are getting way too expensive now and it’s not good for your money. Then again, I had my fill of attending Comic Con so I’m good.
And that's ok if that's your personal opinion. I don't know the guy, so I have no horses in the race at all, but all I am aware of from when everything happened is that an investigation was conducted that included both the NYPD and Javits Center security, and both concluded based on evidence and on-site interviews that Carbonaro was aware of the thefts, and that the stolen merchandise was taken to his booth. Even if he was unaware of the thefts, ALL of the major conventions state in their policies that the owner of a booth is liable and responsible for those working within said booth.
I'm only mentioning that because I've seen people state that Carbonaro had nothing to do with the thefts, but despite the fact that the investigation found that he DID, at the end of the day it doesn't even matter. He is still responsible for the actions of his staff, which is the key reason he was banned. But again, the investigation deemed that he was involved in the thefts, so it makes total sense for him to be banned, regardless of what anyone's personal feelings on the guy are.
(also, a side note for anyone that doesn't know the situation, we're not talking about THE Michael Carbonaro, it's an entirely different person who's been in the comic convention scene for decades, so no affiliation to the more well known Michael Carbonaro lol. Only a coincidence they share the same name.)
