We played to 6 points for this tournament until finals where we played to 9. Each win was 1 point regardless of ko, extreme ko, or burst.

You need to use 1-60 now in your LeonClaw so that it will have a chance of getting back to the stadium. A lot of your Over Finish loses was close to coming back and 1-60 could have save it. Saves you a point and a chance for an epic come back moment.
Nice tournament and I can gather some data here for my stats.
I have thought about it, I think in this situation it probably would have been a good option to experiment.

Gold LeonClaw looked awesome out there. I can't wait to get me two Gold KnightShields some day. Then hopefully I can do my own Partner Bey journey too some day xD. Great work man. The journey to the top continues! I don't know if WizordRod should be banned since everyone has their favorite bey they want to play with but it should definitely be worth 2 points. Honestly, even though it would probably never happen, TT should release a bey and then what to see how it performs in the real world before choosing how many points it's worth. Same with the rachet and bit as well. But it's still in the baby phase so we'll see what the future holds.
I've noticed a lot of people using the point restriction rule and many people thinking this is a new mandatory rule. Just to clarify, this restriction rule where you give points to your opponents based on selected parts is only in testing in Japan at Takara Tomy events and is only for their 1on1 format. It doesn't apply to team, deck, 3on3, etc.
In any match type / format outside of 1on1, you can use whatever you want without giving points away. :)
That being said, having played with this rule set in place, how did you find it? Do you feel it influenced the matches much?
Didn’t make much difference. People wouldn’t run a three point deduction combo but everyone was willing to sacrifice at least 1 to run wizard rod

Rod is an amazingly huge over correction for Arrow. But I still want to get another copy of Rod to try and figure out a way to consistently get the rod v rod matchup. Currently my setup for rod is 5-70 GF
i didnt mind the rod vs rod was interesting because it has the subtle grooves that can send the other to the Xline to drain the stamina. idk just me personally. if the grooves were deeper at any amount, it would be a totally different playstyle. gonna watch this again after i have some coffee to watch your teammates launches, i noticed the tilt flick launch he does an interesting pattern that always connects to the Xline.
You were right on buster being a 50/50 which is why I guess you need to put point so it balances. Pheonixwing might be the only bey who is consistent in defeating a bey like Wizardrod

Fun video to watch while I get increasingly more hyped for Beyblade X to finally arrive in NA! I wouldn't mind an outright ban on Wizard Rod if it meant more creative builds took it's place and I agree that watching those mirror matches is a bit of a snooze fest.

I agree with nizuma, either a heavier restriction needs to come out, or an outright ban altogether, until something comes out that can consistently counter WR.
@@RJ_THA_Blader my one fear with creating a counter instead of just stopping the trend in its tracks is power creep. I'd like to see old beys be just as viable as new ones and if they make a counter to WR then that counter will likely be really strong into a lot of other things repeating the original problem.
@@RaffyPoohh if the counter is an attack type, there shouldn’t be too much an issue, I don’t think.
Phoenix, and scythe, being used in stamina still have the weaknesses of being attack or balance type blades by nature, so a good attack combo, or even defense combo, could take them head on.
I did this at our local tournament where my 3rd bey was a stock Leon Claw. I got first place
I honestly think that the right combo for leonclow Is not realized yet
Always new parts coming out so there’s always potential for something better. I typically use 9-60 not 5-60 but picked that because of the formats this tournament.
I been into Beyblade since Tyson got dragoon from the family sword i never been to a tournament where im at they never held any so i hope this time they start hosting

I haven’t slept on it lol, I think it’s one of the most consistent attack types in the game right now.

@@SJ-Lakuifair that might work. Just thought 3 might be needed for rod. Feel like it would make it more enjoyable if they end up needing to bring it down to 2 vs having to go up to 3 .

Disregarding points per win, just overall win loss ratio. Ppw doesn’t mean much if you only win half the time, especially in deck format where it might only be in play once.

I feel like LeonClaw could be good on something like low flat 5-70 for mid size attack with decent stamina, but I could be wrong
Why 5-70 over 5-60, that basically just makes it the same as 5-60 on flat

@@gabrieldevoogel6225 low flat basically has less stamina than flat but is 1mm shorter. 5-70 is 1mm taller than 5-60 so basically it’s the same height as 5-60 flat but worse stamina.
