    Hey..DJ…just an update..apart from complaining to the company..I’m so angry about not just the pellets getting onto the street and drains but the thought of the amount of wildlife that might eat this….I’ve now emailed environmental health and complained to them…gave them the address and how to watch this video…need more of us to do the same..let’s teach this uncaring piece of sh*t company a lesson 👍🏻

      Because we need to guilt trip the public and blame them not the companies, so the government can introduce 'green' charges, like ULEZ, with public guilt approval. I used to work for an injection molding company , the amount of waste generated is astronomical. I can't see what difference it makes recycling your crisp bag when our company was dumping the equivalent of millions if not a billion 'each day'.

    • @jiggli-Jane
      @jiggli-Jane ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@djfearross4144 Spot on! Us minions have no say in what's produced & how it's made but we're virtue-signalled into replacing our trusty old vehicles, domestic appliances, boilers etc etc that can often be cheaply repaired with parts but oh no, we're encouraged to scrap them & replace with new, "environmentally friendly", expensive alternatives, that nowadays can't easily or efficiently be repaired. Most people are easily duped & instead of targeting the companies that keep producing stuff we don't need, the dim virtue-signallers simply obey & keep feeding the bs.
      Recycling done correctly is fantastic but the recycling that the majority of the masses are tasked with, simply keeps them busy & distracted.
      I'll now get off my soap-box 😅

    It’s audits like this highlighting a company’s environmental impact that makes your channel worthwhile. I’m hoping the environment agency will take a lot of interest and conclude by forcing this company to clear up their mess and make changes to their own environmental policies. Absolutely disgusting that they haven’t acted sooner to avoid cross contamination into our drainage systems and wildlife, please can you revisit DJ and report? Keep up the good work my friend.

    There will be manhole lids, which are catch pits rather than manholes, the water flows in and collects in the bottom untill it rises high enough to exit, lesving any solids in the bottom which can then be succed out with a gully sucker lorry and taken to aprooved dispposal sites. This does not stop pellets being blown or washed by rain into other systems, Best practice, doen't let them free in the first place!

    They certainly need to take more accountability for their pollution. The environment agency need to go and do an assessment and make recommendations to not only stop the drains being polluted but to contain the bead on site. Their fence line should have fine mesh at the bottom to stop bead, and places like gateways should have a grid spanning across them to capture any leaving site that way. They have a responsibility to their neighbours also as the man you were talking to is clearly having adverse effects from their bead leaving site and blocking the grids. Come on, you need to take action to stop this as a company!!

    Considering the raw material, that was an organised and tidy site (ignoring the pellets).
    More regular sweeps required, and a raised lip around boundary (and a wide moat-like gutter) would help reduce chance of the plastic pellets leaving the site.

    Eye opening video ive worked in moulding all my life ,and never seen this amount of material stored outside, this is terrible for the environment plus a health and safety hazard, issue if you walk on the material that scattered on the floor, its like ice ,im really surprised, all the company's ive ever worked for, are on top of there game ,real shame to see ,i don't like plastic my self , but i make parts for the medical industry, I can understand how angry some people are when they view this and fully agree, all that material should be in silos.

    Good job 👍 Profit often trumps health and safety, even though it shouldn't. Maybe if the local council threatens fines things may change but I won't hold my breath.

    You'll never be out of work if you focus on drainage. Keep up the good work.
