- Today, we install a Borla S-Type Cat-Back exhaust (for 2018-2021 Mustang GT's w/o Active Exhaust) on my 2020 Ford Mustang GT! The exhaust was WAY louder than I expected, but I love the sound. STAY TUNED for future videos on this exhaust! :)

I have the borla s types on my 2013 GT. They're perfect for a daily driver. Loud when you want it, quiet when you want it. Best of both worlds. And as youve heard the sound they make is so intoxicating.

I had them on my 06 and I have them on my 2014. The sound is just so much more refined than other exhausts. Roush, Corsa, Magnaflow, etc just don't compare.
I love your reaction to the new exhaust, genuine excitement and pleasure. Your video helped me decide on the Borla s type for my mustang.

I got my 2020 10 speed Mustang in Rapid Red from that very same dealership at Gaudin Ford in Vegas, I also installed an S-Type Catback on my car too, sounds fantastic!

i just bought and install thr borla S-type on 21 Gt 10spd, and ite worth every penny super happy with sound so much better in person its quiet when your not on it and beautiful melody wen u get on it and better performance

Borla Atak in my experience is even quieter while freeway cruising. And very manageable under 3k rpm.
I have been looking at the borla s-types compared to the ataks. I am eventually going to put headers on and I didn't want it to be too obnoxious. So, I think the s-type is the way to go.
Yeah I’m curious to see what it would sound like with headers. I’d assume it would be incredibly loud.
Do everyone with ears a favor and never install the atack on anyones car ever. It is the worst sounding exhaust i have ever heard.

@@ProxityProductions I would say corsa extremes. Just too raspy atak is a pitch higher than s type. If you have am active exhaust then I don't see the problem

Thanks for the video, this helped me chose between the atak and s-type. I think the s-type will be more comfortable for long trips and has enough volume when needed.

Nice sound , i have a 2020 gt speed with a h pipe and flowmaster outlaws. Ive had them for 2 years now , the sound its so loud its annoying now
I just bought the S-type for my 2023 GT, getting it installed in a couple days. Are there any noticeable improvements as far as throttle response and overrall performance?
It might be a tad quicker.
I would not use the word “extremely” with Borla S type. Try the Ataks, or Roush or MBRP and then bring that word into play. I’m putting these exact ones in to replace my current louder Roush setup.

Using ATAK on my 17s now, that is too loud over 2000 rpm, Sometimes I just want to do a smooth acceleration but it scream like a supercar😂. Gonna replace to a S Type and try.

At least you Didn't get the ATAK, I've heard it's super loud even on the ecoboost. And some drone with it. I was researching the s-type when I was into the ecoboost market which actually got me to be recommended to your videos months ago.
I bet this video does not do the sound justice, would love to hear it in person.

Is this a resonator delete or x-pipe in place of the resonator or pipes in place of the resonator or what's the exact setup besides Cat- back
this cat back comes with an x pipe to replace the resonator.
Is there any drone with this system? I hear some of these on mustangs and they are pretty quiet and others are like 130db.
Drone is there but not bad unless going very fast or up a steep hill. It is quite loud
@@JVette01 is it loud at low rpm? Or mainly high is when it kicks in?
The video is a good representation. It’s always pretty loud but especially once the rpm’s climb
@@JVette01 ah ok so this is much louder than the magnaflow style of packed straight through? I have some carven tr’s that have some crazy low end drone and bass in any gear and was considering going with these.

Isn't the exhaust note on the stock Mustang GT already great. I've noticed lately a lot of owners are screwing up their exhaust and making it sound worse. I particularly dislike that raspy sound.

its deeper, i don't like noise so trust me you will like it. 5.0 should've came with borla on a special package.
I’m torn between the 3 15 gears and the 3 55 gears. How are you liking the 3 55?
The 3.55 is cool, but I’d say just stick with the 3.15. I would like for my rpms to be a little lower on the highway, and if you go boost, I heard 3.15 is better

The catback comes with an X pipe. No resonator.

Coming from a person that owns a GT/CS I think the corsa extreme is much better than a borla. It’s louder, nicer to live with and at higher RPMS she screams.
I respect your opinion, but Corsa are way to loud and raspy. I absolutely hate rasp, so the Borla was for me.

I had Corsa as well and nothing like that raspy throwing BB’s at tin cans sound over 5000 rpm’s. Corsa sounds good under 4000rpm but in my opinion loses quality of sound where as the Borla S type is deep gnarly clean and just growls. It is the perfect exhaust
Corsa is way too raspy. It's all about tones. Being loud doesn't mean it sounds good
