    Thank you Jeremy for the tutorial, I enjoyed making the seamless version. I tried using the same crease pattern to make a seamless decahedron, by just avoiding making creases across the two extra triangular surfaces. It turned out ok, but not as firm as the octahedron. Would you have any suggestions on how to change or improve the flaps in the final stage for a decahedron?

    I made mine out of plasticky brown crocodile-skin-pattern paper. It was a pain, as the paper is stretchy and saggy before you wrestle it into shape, but the finished product is pretty cool - it has an alien, organic feel to it.

    at 2:00 that is a sink fold not a reverse fold. a reverse fold is when a valley fold changes into a mountain fold or vice versa

    • @giangthanhdat8314
      @giangthanhdat8314 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      It IS a reverse fold, but an INSIDE REVERSE FOLD. A sink fold is different from reverse fold because it involves opening the model and reversing valley folds into mountain folds for the edges and inside are valley folds. That's why it is called sink fold because you are sinking the part into the model.
      However, an inside reverse fold involves making the edge valley folds into mountain fold and tucking the flap into the model. An outside reverse fold is backwards of the inside reverse fold because you are not tucking the flap inside.
      See the difference?
