Wow Jeremy it’s been a while, I would watch you a decade ago you were a huge part of my childhood and a big inspiration for me, I’m 16 now and have pretty much quit doing origami, but I’ll always make sure to check up on you every year or two lol. Look like you’re doing well keep going at it man, and thanks for the childhood.
ive been watching your channel since i was 7, i took a long break from social media but glad to see that you're still posting! keep up the great work, cant waiy for the pyramid next
Remembered watching you back in 2015, and I would fold your hardest models and once used the baby flasher hat for my school project and got a perfect score. You're part of my childhood and watching you still doing this is nostalgic.
What a fun little model! I love how it includes a water bomb base! I will probably add goggly eyes to mine. And I think this will be the video that convinces me to be a member of yours.
Just letting you know that the Pixelated Pyramid is actually a very complex form of concentric flasher as it can completely collapse inward (to form a four-leg table). Also, I can see that it can be evolved into new extra complex spiral flasher, but I don't know if I'll ever do that, because as a concentric flasher, it's already super complex as is!
Jeremy, please make a tutorial for eight interlocking rings please. it is rather easy to get a large sheet of foil/paper (such as 30 inches like the amount you require for the model) by taping (on the white side!) together smaller sheets, such as 6, 7, 10, 12, or even 15 inches square. I tried making the model once before, and it went well, I should say until step 19. It was not too difficult to fold, but I stopped at step 19 because I could not figure out what folds were going on inside the pleat sinks. If you do not have the time to make a tutorial on eight interlocking rings, please reply back and describe to me, through words, how to do those steps. Even if you cannot do that, it's totally acceptable. I just really want to make the model, and I think a lot of other people do too. Looking forward to your reply, and possible tutorial, and I cannot wait to fold the pixilated pyramid. I love your work Jeremy, keep it up! ❤
Thank you. I don't know if this will help but here goes... With pleat sinking, before opening the paper to make all the folds, you go through the process of making pleats on multiple layers. Each one of those folds will end up forming a closed path (a path that if you stay on it, it will come back to the same spot) when you unfold the paper. Those closed paths will alternate between mountain and valleys as you move inward. So if you are on the white side then just follow the outermost path making it a valley fold loop and then move inward and go around the next loop making it a mountain, and continue till you get to the middle of the pleatsunk region.
I won't make it for non-members, but I am planning to make an extra-long version (with no fast-forwarding) for members, because I think the TH-cam Algorithm would gag on two-hour public video.
Sweet of you to like that song! I can't release any songs or else my TH-cam videos will get tagged for copyright infringement (yes, even though it's my own track!). I learned that the hartd way when I tried to put an album out on CDBaby. However, if you promise to just use it for personal use (no uploading it to the internet), I will email you (and only you) the track to play along with it. Send me a message via the email in my about tab. What instrument do you play?
This one has colored legs with white in between. My original Qbert that demoed on my community tab had separate legs, but it didn't jump. The jumping feature was more important to me than having separated legs.
And thank you so much for inspiring it! You certainly had a big hand in my designing it! The origami tessellation world is pretty big, but I haven't seen this pattern before, so I'm betting it's original. There is a recent pixelated pyramid by that guy who mainly does shorts of complex models while wearing a scary mask. Is that where you got the idea? I'm guessing that his pixelated pyramid is a lot simpler, but I'm pretty sure it uses more paper (not as efficient as mine) and there are diagonal folded edges on some of the squares. Mine isn't seamless (there are creases), but there are not folded edges inside any of the squares.
@@jeremyshaferorigami thank you. I actually got the idea from looking at the video from Jo nakashima he made a tutorial but each cube is one sheet of paper so if you wanted to do level 5 you’d need like 20 sheets for each cube. I really wanted this model however attaching the cubes would have been a night mare for me. And so I thought maybe there was a way to fold that with just one sheet of paper instead of using 1 paper for each cube.
Thumbs up if you can't wait to try to fold the pixelated pyramid!
Cool Model man! How do you stay so inspired to keep folding? By the way, the pyramid looks awesome! Teach it soon!
@@CarnivoresEatBeef Yes, it's a complex model. The tutorial will probably be over an hour long!
@@jeremyshaferorigami Woah, I have been following your channel for 3 years! I am looking forward to fold it.

how many cubes does the pyramid have?
Ha ha, good question! I haven't counted. Also, some of them aren't complete cubes, so it depends on how you define cube.
