The fact that these people can lie under oath, when the truth is already known, should guarantee them time in prison. And the idea that he didn't implement the changes (when all the evidence shows that he did, plus he is PMG, which means the changes are entirely under his control) and that "someone else" did it, or that they were "already underway", is disgusting. First, NOBODY can make changes like that EXCEPT the PMG. So even if it wasn't his idea, he had to approve it. Second, even if he gave approval power to someone else (which is illegal) to make such sweeping changes, HE IS STILL RESPONSIBLE. Third, countless officials at the post office have shown documents FROM DEJOY stating that these are the new changes he is making. Many people stood up and argued against them (most of those people ending up being fired, which is how the entire Trump system works). He was told on all fronts that what he was doing was going to negatively impact the mail, and he went forward with it anyway. Honestly, he needs to be IMMEDIATELY removed from his position and put up on criminal charges for his actions. And every single thing he's put in motion needs to be undone. All the centers that were closed need to be reopened. All boxes that were removed need to be replaced and put back on the mail routes. All machines he had removed need to be put back or replaced. All staff he fired need to be given their jobs back. All his "no overtime" rules need to be removed. All the trucks he sold need to be bought back. And the government needs to send the USPS a MASSIVE funding increase. The USPS is PROTECTED BY THE CONSTITUTION. It doesn't have to be profitable. It doesn't have to be "good business". It has to run. It has to deliver mail, on time, ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY. That's it. It could be running at a huge loss, and it doesn't matter. It's the government's responsibility to fund it no matter what. And the idea that he didn't implement the changes (when all the evidence shows that he did, plus he is PMG, which means the changes are entirely under his control) and that "someone else" did it, or that they were "already underway", is disgusting. First, NOBODY can make changes like that EXCEPT the PMG. So even if it wasn't his idea, he had to approve it. Second, even if he gave approval power to someone else (which is illegal) to make such sweeping changes, HE IS STILL RESPONSIBLE. Third, countless officials at the post office have shown documents FROM DEJOY stating that these are the new changes he is making. Many people stood up and argued against them (most of those people ending up being fired, which is how the entire Trump system works). He was told on all fronts that what he was doing was going to negatively impact the mail, and he went forward with it anyway.
Honestly, he needs to be IMMEDIATELY removed from his position and put up on criminal charges for his actions. And every single thing he's put in motion needs to be undone. All the centers that were closed need to be reopened. All boxes that were removed need to be replaced and put back on the mail routes. All machines he had removed need to be put back or replaced. All staff he fired need to be given their jobs back. All his "no overtime" rules need to be removed. All the trucks he sold need to be bought back. And the government needs to send the USPS a MASSIVE funding increase.
The USPS is PROTECTED BY THE CONSTITUTION. It doesn't have to be profitable. It doesn't have to be "good business". It has to run. It has to deliver mail, on time, ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY. That's it. It could be running at a huge loss, and it doesn't matter. It's the government's responsibility to fund it no matter what.
If they can throw billions of dollars to the ultra rich and huge corporations THAT HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO NEED OF A HANDOUT, then they most definitely can be funding the USPS.

The most ridicules thing is Katie doesn't really ever ask _HARD_ questions. Just questions that the person in charge _should_ know. It's like going into a restaurant and you ask the cook "how long and at what temperature should you cook this chicken so it wont make me sick" and he doesn't know. She's a congresswoman with common sense and its sort of sad how that makes her a political unicorn.
Why ask hard questions when they tie themseves up in knots unable to answer the easy ones? It's far more effective and it doesn't talk down to the audience.
I find the businesses that are poorly run are run by business execs that are unaware of the policies, procedures, and/or practices of the people they are overseeing. If they don't know this info thoroughly, a work-study needed to be implemented to make such a decision. Her questions drove to expose that.
