    Holy shit bro! Your from forged in fire. You were my favourite judge. How come your not there anymore? You just gained a subscriber.

      Jason hangs out with the Big Blu crew regularly and he was our favorite judge too. It's a shame he's not on anymore.

    I like Jason Knight. But I once heard him say that he used to do stock removal than learned forging because to him that was a true blade smith. So than how does using a power hammer to rough shape a blade any different than cutting out the rough shape of a blade with an angle grinder or oxy-torch ?

    Nice tutorial. Standing by for more.
    One question: What did Jason mean when he mentioned not having an anvil set up properly?

    • @BigBlueHammerMfg
      @BigBlueHammerMfg  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mostly, he was referencing how people have the corners dressed on their anvils and not have the right kinds of edges.

    I thought the point behind making of blade is forging not using equipment, Talk about knucklehead I or see some real blade makers on TH-cam. For him not to sure what to say about him. For an individual that supposedly likes to build blades to me that's just the easier cheaper way... Just speaking my mind

      @jeremypeterson7171 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. Not everyone has the money or space for a power hammer and if my anvil isn't set up right why isnt he telling me how to set it up? This series is just an advertisement for the hammer obviously and Im apparently a chump.

      No, not him, the idiot bit was referenced to you mcdouche2. As for Jason Knight, he is a good knifemaker, also did a fair enough stint on Forged in Fire as a judge. Cheers.

      +RichB it's called nuance and sarcasm. Things that your room temperature IQ obviously doesn't comprehend.

      +RichB too bad. It sounds like this is winding down. I was having fun having my way with you. Work on understanding nuance and sarcasm. It will serve you well.

      I wish I'd lived a life as sheltered as yours if being called a knucklehead offends you this much..

    That's a lot of shit talking. From someone calling themselves a master. I haven't met many American Smith's who passed their masters smithing program. Weird it's not offered in the states. But whatever

    He might be a good smith, but his personality is pretty negative. I totally get the "keep low standards and you'll never be disappointed" thing, but if you're a TV personality that's not great without a goofball co-host. Developing a thick skin has drawbacks. It comes off as too cool for school. I'm totally guilty of it myself and I'm trying to change it.
