One of my favorite things about Forged in Fire is how little drama there is on the show among the constants and judges. They're all so respectful and constructive. Not bitchy at all.
Discovered this show on the history channel while in the Philippines, hooked ever since. I have no interest in forging or knifes, but its my fav show of all time
Very much so, that I why one of the reason why I loved Masterchef Australia and Ninja Warriors. In both of those shows they let their craft and challenges they go through do the talking and make the show entertaining. On the other hand I hate Masterchef USA and gordon ramsey with the bald fellow who used to be in it and even though they are good in their craft they treat people horribly just for the sake of entertainment. I really hate that as I do not like seeing people depressed just for the sake of my entertainment.
I like how sometimes the contestants actually help each other out and when they see one of their "rival"'s blades do awesome in a test they get excited and congratulate them. Great contestants on a great show.
@@Krytern Yeah, there was one episode where a guy, think Connor was the name, felt actually bad cos' the other contestant lost. He was the champion but still fell bad for his buddy. Class act indeed.
I discovered this show a few months ago and i love this! so much fun and u see how much respect everyone has for each other, we need shows like this now more then ever.
NO WAY should that show get away with paying these tradesmen virtually nothing while making off like bandits. $10,000 grand prize???? Are they effing serious?
actually dave is a smith, making most if not every blade used in tests on the tv show deadliest warrior, however, i do not know if he is a member of ABS.
Princess Lemmy - What makes you think that? They call Dave something like "Weapons recreation expert". He recreates various weapons from history, very accurately. He is a great smith. You don't have to be a member of ABS to be a "master smith".
I love the judges in this show. While watching the competition is what got me hooked, the personalities of the judges is what really makes the show great.
@@chartle1 J Neilson, Jason Knight, Ben Abbott, and David Baker could be the smiths. Though David Baker I don't think has much experience in bladesmithing, he is a prop maker and may have some experience above Doug and Will.
I WANNA SEE AN EPISODE WHERE NIELSON, KNIGHT, ABBOT AND BAKER ALL JUST MAKE AN ICONIC WEAPON FROM HISTORY. I DONT EVEN NEED TO SEE A WINNER, JUST HAVE WIL AND DOUG DO ALL THE TESTS AND THEN THEY ALL GET A BEER
just finished my first knife! I have always loved bladed weapons, and this show really made me want to try my hand at making my own. Gotta say it was a lot of work, but it was a lot of fun.
Love these videos! Fun to see the guys in the shop for once! Hope J is recovering quickly! Jason's been an awesome judge but J's the man! Also pretty cool to see that the guys hang out and joke around. That kind of relationship between the judges is rare for competition shows. Very cool!
I agree as not 1 of the best but the best show on TV! Never get tired of watching even the reruns I learn something each time I watch. Would enjoy if was an episode ever week of the year.
Can’t wait to try to get on this show! Been smithing blades for almost 10 years. Got to let my arm heal and finish my new shop then, I’ll try to get on!
all the judges bring something to the show its a great mix would love to have all 4 judges at once like they did for a single episode but all very skilled in their own right
Excellent that was Awesome to see Will and Doug in the forge!!! Will's blade looked very clean, nice, and deadly. Doug's blade looked like "It will Keel!"
Great show, great video. These guys seem to have a very good relationship between them all. That helps make the show that much better. Thanks for posting this video.
That was awesome. I really like these guys and I watch forged in fire religiously. Nice blades guys! I'm going to get some forging equipment very soon and try my hand at blade making.
Doug is like "I am the *keel* guy, not the forge guy"
Not keel , keal guy
@@shreyanshukumar4510 it's definately keel
He explained it before, KEAL = Keep Everyone ALive
@@jaakovtobman7846 Doug himself sells t-shits on his site that say "it will KEAL".

Jon aka Gordon Ramsey
Doug testing his knife, "this blade... will not cut"..
Will, "Doug, I'm gonna ask you to surrender your weapon and exit the forge".
Lmao
I like Doug he brings seriousness along with comical . With that being said "THAT SIR WILL CHILL"
Joey Godfrey "Keel"
It will CHILL but sounds like CHEEL
One of the best shows on TV. Thanks for keeping all the Drama out of it.
ralph crosby I agree one of the only shows where all the contestants have been class acts. Always a pleasure to watch.
I like how sometimes the contestants actually help each other out and when they see one of their "rival"'s blades do awesome in a test they get excited and congratulate them. Great contestants on a great show.
Oh please....this shows hilarious.
I stopped watching gold rush because of all the drama build up
@@Krytern Yeah, there was one episode where a guy, think Connor was the name, felt actually bad cos' the other contestant lost. He was the champion but still fell bad for his buddy. Class act indeed.
Doug is my favorite judge. He smiles a lot and looks nice.
Also because he does the kill - test :)

Hello 😎 ! Mr MARCAIDA IS Mr Bruce Lee wiht KARANBIT .
Of course. Doug Marcaida doesn’t wield weapons. Weapons wield Doug Marcaida.
I discovered this show a few months ago and i love this! so much fun and u see how much respect everyone has for each other, we need shows like this now more then ever.
Doug: *smacks blade against anvil* “HA!”
*pauses* “More?”
I think he actually said "Hadouken"

Forged in Fire is one of the best shows on TV rn for sure .....bcus it is immensely satisfying to watch something be pound out from nothing
NO WAY should that show get away with paying these tradesmen virtually nothing while making off like bandits. $10,000 grand prize???? Are they effing serious?
The hosts should try the challenge and see who would win with the winnings going to a charity of choice.
i havebrought that up meany times on FIF's facebook page.
just make sure its not one of the big charities , most of them are nothing of the kind .
The only problem is J and Jason Knight are ABS master smiths. The other 3 aren't.

Love this show! Kudos to Will and Doug in immersing themselves into this aspect of the show! J. Nielsen, have a speedy recovery sir!
He returned to the show already!!
He returned briefly, but Ben later took his place last I saw.
He’s been showing up a lot in season six
A charity show with Jay vs. Jason vs. Dave vs. Ben would be awesome. Being back previous champs to be judges!
I didn't know how much I needed this video. For some reason, it made me incredibly happy to see Will and Doug making knives.
Forged in Fire is one of my favorite shows because of the sword crafting, and comradery. It’s the friendliest competition show I’ve ever seen.
Props to Wil and Doug for learning to forge and to J. for teaching them.
I love the judges in this show. While watching the competition is what got me hooked, the personalities of the judges is what really makes the show great.
this is an episode I would like to see!! all judges making their own then judged by past winners
Richard Jolliffe yes would be so cool
problem is only 3 of them make blades and one of them is no longer with the show so its just 2 guys.
They wouldn’t stick Will or Doug against either of the other 3 guys. That wouldn’t be fair at all
@@chartle1 J Neilson, Jason Knight, Ben Abbott, and David Baker could be the smiths. Though David Baker I don't think has much experience in bladesmithing, he is a prop maker and may have some experience above Doug and Will.
@@blank7137 slightly confused about your post but David makes almost all the demo blades.
Wil Willis needs to return to Forged in Fire. Best show on Tv. Look forward to Wednesday’s.
I love how master smith J. Neilson uses an old crock pot to quench knives. You can't beat simplicity.
Still the best show on TV. A new garage forge is started everyday because of this show!

Sup wit J?
J is out recovering from hand surgery currently, it's why Jason Knight is filling in for him on Forged in Fire Season 3.
We haven't seen Jason yet in the UK...
Doug Marcaida:"it will KILL"
Will :"this round competition is over"

Whelp - just realized I live like 10 minutes from J. Nielson... thats awesome

What a privilege it would be to have J.Nielson teach me how to forge a blade !!!
Forged in Fire is the best show on TV. I love the respect that everyone shows each other, no made up drama.

I love watching the judges and host feel the experience of the competitors
I love James’ teaching method. Ask, and make the learner verbalize what has to be done. Very cool.
This is one of the best shows. Mr. Nelson is a very talented man.
"GET THE TIP HOT AND THEN WE CAN COME IN" i dont think he was talking about blade making at this point
As Sterling Archer would say, "Phrasing!"
Ah I love Doug's personality! so much fun!
That was awesome. Its great to see first time blades. Changes your world.

Next, Doug should make that rubber training knife he joked about in the car gutting episode.
Doug is a funny guy.

This was more entertaining than I thought it would be.
Love this show J has crazy eyes awesome
I like this because it gives them a sense of how the people who compete or forge on a daily basis for hobby or to live on.

The sheer amount of skills and knowledge ol whiskey whiskey has accumulated over the years is terrifying 😂
